Side Story 03 - Alisa's Diary: part I

A little girl opened her eyes.

A morning like any other in her room.

She was staring at her canopied bed, as if it were the most normal thing in the world.

Her big, ruby-red eyes went to the door that was being knocked softly.

"Come in."

Said the girl as if to a dog she was calling.

The door opened and a woman in Victorian maid's clothing appeared.

"Good morning, ojou-sama."

After her cordial greeting she walked to the other end of the room.

The girl watched her as she walked elegantly past huge stuffed animals and a table with a large mirror in the middle of it all.

As she reached the far end of the room, the maid pulled open a large part of the curtain, the sun's rays streamed in through the window causing the girl to cover her face. The maid did not notice because she was tying the curtains with the rope hanging sideways.

After that she went to the girl's bed, elegantly removed the sheet and tucked it up to her little feet.

When she finished folding the sheet the girl lay on her side on the bed and the maid put two thin cloth slippers underneath for the girl to put on, there was a red carpet covering the whole room, even the maid used the same kind of cloth to get in.

Before getting off the bed to put them on, the girl said a few words to the maid.

"You are dismissed. Your greeting lacked more respect, you made noise when you walked and that woke me up, you allowed my fragile eyes to be exposed to harmful light. Before you go call for another maid."

The maid without saying not a word just nodded her head. But as she got up tears could be seen on her flowing like waterfalls.

As she left the room she left the door open, the girl did not hear her close it and shaking her head she said "Servants are losing class every day, is it hard to hire able commoners or nobles?"

She got out of bed finely and put on her slippers in the same graceful manner.

She walked over to the table with the large mirror and there was a gold-colored teddy bear waiting for her.

She grabbed it and sat down to wait for some maid to come.

Then a voice sounded from the door, it was a former maid who came to attend her.

"Good morning ojou-sama, did you get up very well this pleasant morning?"

The girl hearing it replied.

"Yes, that's how a maid should introduce herself. You may come in."

"Thank you for your words, excuse me."

Without a sound the maid walked up to the girl and then delicately grabbed her long blonde hair, it was very golden for just blonde hair.

After grabbing it affectionately she proceeded to brush it with a diamond encrusted comb.

The girl stood still despite feeling a bit of pain, as her own hair would turn like this in the mornings, she couldn't blame anyone for there not being a beauty product to help her with it.

"Can I ask you something, ojou-sama? -" said the maid in a polite manner."

"What is it?" -Responded the girl imagining what it was.

"May I ask you to please not dismiss the new girl? She hasn't been learning the proper manners for long, I apologize if my question interferes with her wish."

"..."

There was a short silence and the girl answered shyly.

"I-I know... I was just trying to make her understand that her behavior would bring her trouble in her work... m-maybe I went a little too far..."

"Just a little, Ojou-sama?"

"Guhh!!! You sure are persistent, Felicia!!!"

"Ara~ the ojou-sama got annoyed with me, will I be fired by any chance?"

At her little joke the girl quickly turned to look at her, her ruby colored eyes were moist and with a tearful voice she said "Don't even say that as a joke!!!"

Hearing that the maid screamed inwardly "The ojou-sama is so cute!!!" then a "She is so adorable with those bunny eyes, want to dress her up like a limited edition doll!!!" those and other disturbing thoughts of presented in her head.

After calming her down they brushed her hair again, but before the second brushing he asked her top priority.

"Ojou-sama can we reinstate the recently dismissed girl?"

With a "hmph!" she replied adding.

"Likewise my father is the only one to have that power, my brother is in the military academy and mother is busy with the queen, my word is the most inferior in the family, if she believed that her head is very wrong as a human being."

Cruel words came out of that little mouth, that little girl....

"I guess I should tell her that kind-hearted Alisa-sama allowed her to redeem her mistake fufufu."

...Alicelotte von Bismarck was.

After finishing her long hair, she tied it into a large ponytail and then they left the room to go to the bathroom to brush her teeth and for her to take a bath before breakfast.

◇◇◇

"Ojou-sama your dress is ready for today's party."

The maid by the name of Felicia spoke to Alisa after finishing her breakfast.

"Understood, today will father and mother go or just me, alone again?

" Lord and Lady will be busy with various matters, your brother is busy with the academy and his day off has already passed some time ago."

"It is so, very well, have my carriage ready to arrive before dark."

"As you command, Ojou-sama."

The maid withdrew after that, after showing her polite dismissal.

The girl was eating her dessert, it wasn't the first time this happened to her and she was used to it but a shadow of loneliness was reflected in her beautiful eyes.

◇◇◇

The place was a party area in the palace of the Altfode Kingdom. It was a meeting room that was accommodated to hold a small social gathering.

Despite being a meeting room and small social gathering, the place was very huge and the guests were more than fifty children of the aristocracy and counting the adults and servants the number reaches almost one hundred and thirteen.

The surroundings were bustling for wanting to greet the prince, among the bustle there was a group that stood out, they were several adults flattering a girl of about eight years old, her dress was white with flower ornaments baked to form a band.

"Truly Miss Alicelotte for a young girl is very mature for her age."

"Despite the fact that my daughter is the same age as you, you behave much more educated and sophisticated than she does."

"I would like to have a daughter like you, her beauty will increase with her growing body."

She received many compliments from the adults, that was because she showed the grace of the young daughter of a duke's household.

That was what the girl thought, but for the surroundings it is quite different. Rather it seemed that she was showing off to the adults her pride as the daughter of an archduke, that bothered some.

A guard entered the room to make an announcement.

"Everyone please pay your attention! His Highness he crown prince, Liam von Altfode-sama is entering!"

The people suddenly fell silent and the door opened, a boy with platinum-colored hair entered and the people around him crowded to greet him.

Alisa saw them and waited for the people to thin out a bit to go say hello, but someone approached her and she greeted him.

"Good evening, young Klein of Kingsfort Household."

"Good evening, Alice, enjoying your evening?"

It was a boy about the same age, his hair was blond covering his left eye and with emerald green eyes.

"Yes, the adults have praised my correct way of behaving, no doubt I am a great example for the young aristocracy to follow."

"That's right... look, the prince is no longer being bullied by the adults."

Alisa looked where Klein was pointing and with a graceful bow took her leave to go to the prince.

She did not notice that the boy's look transformed from a sweet smile to a face of disgust.

In his thoughts he was saying terrible words to her as he watched her talk to the prince.

(She really is a very annoying woman, she doesn't notice that the adults only try to get to her father through her, the other children know it and that's why they don't approach her).

The prince made a face of discomfort that was barely disguised when he spoke to Alisa, he asked her to excuse her because he had to go to greet other equally important people.

Alisa bowed to him as she said goodbye, but her face looked a little depressed, she did not notice that the prince's face changed its expression when an untrustworthy looking adult was talking to him, only Klein noticed it and went there, not before noticing that Alisa was alone and stayed in a corner eating cake until the time they come to pick her up.

◇◇◇

The time of the party was over and at last his carriage had arrived, but not before saying goodbye to the prince, after leaving the room he looked out a window to watch how the prince smiled with his guests, in the whole party he never showed that expression while walking near him. He proceeded to leave the palace to enter his carriage.

His carriage was what was expected of someone from high society and aristocracy. It had elegant decorations and her family crest on the doors, the back and even on the horses that pulled the carriage.

She sat like a lady, but as time passed she slumped like a deflated cushion.

She looked out the window and watched the landscape around her as it changed from fine, classy mansions to simple, unadorned urban areas.

The carriage suddenly stopped because a strange train called a bus was passing in front of it.

A wagon stopped next to it, the wagon looked very old and like it would collapse at any moment. Unlike the carriage that used horses, four in fact, the wagon had only one donkey which was carrying a strange object that was called a plasma tree that acts as an engine in this world.

She did not pay attention to the bad smell emanating from the people in the wagon, who were two, a father and his son, the driver of the carriage did notice it, but he could not do or say anything.

The boy speaks to his father....

"We had to come to the capital because that stupid boy broke the motor of the boat, when I arrive I will make him work harder than this donkey!!!"

...And he father would reply.

"Lyle I already told you he is a fool, he was surprised when that builder used a working unit to move the rocks to the other end of the house, I really wonder what I have done to have such a foolish child?"

She wasn't listening to the conversation despite being very loud. She thought they were commoners because of the lack of education and rags they wore.

It already looked like the last bus was finishing crossing.

She thought that at last that torment was going to end.

"Truly, having a son as dumb as Rudel is a pain in the ass."

Just in that simple sentence made her shake her head in the direction where that voice was coming from, but it was too late. The carriage and the cart were going for different destinations, but she only paid attention to that one word.

"Rudel..."

To her that word lacked any sense and meaning whatsoever... but that was what struck her as odd. She had never heard that someone could be named after an object, she was puzzled.

Her gaze suddenly focused on the moon which shone so brightly that its radiance illuminated the streets and cities.

Her hand on the carriage window stretched inside to try to reach it, she didn't know why she was doing that, but it seemed like she was trying to reach something or someone.

◇◇◇

At the same time that the girl was raising her arm to try to grab the moon, a boy was also doing it, he gave the impression of wanting to escape from there.

He was in a field farming late at night, he was ragged and his hair was messy.

The boy was suddenly called by an older boy and like him, he had the same color hair. Dark black.

"Hey if you're done come on in, it's getting cold.... What's with that look?"

After being called by the boy, the boy turned to him.

He had eyes that looked like a hunter's, he had bags under his eyes maybe from not getting much sleep. The boy answered him like an obedient dog without sounding offensive.

"That's my face, I didn't look at you reluctantly."

"It's like this...anyway come on in already."

"...Ok."

The boy walked in leaving the door open while the boy muttered to himself as he set down a large adult shovel in the loft.

"It really sucks living in a fantasy world..."

He was called by the boy once again.

"Rudel hurry up at once!!!"

"I'm coming."

The boy went into his small, dirty, battered house to sleep and repeat this again tomorrow too.

◇◇◇

Alisa had already arrived home in the royal capital and was now ready to sleep after a normal day in her normal life.

The only problem was that she couldn't stop thinking about that strange name.

"Rudel..."

She mumbled that to then close her eyelids to wake up the next morning to a new day in her normal life.

Sadly this sad girl was destined to suffer a terrible fate in the future, she would become a villain in this world, this rpg themed fantasy world. She would both verbally and physically harass her rival, the main heroine to later receive a punishment that would end her life, but....

"...Rudel..." the girl would say while peacefully asleep.

Destiny is not written in stone and a new morning for her will open up in the future, one where she can be happy as her name indicates.
