Soon, the sound of approaching footsteps roused them from their uneasy silence.
Three figures slowly ascended the stairs, emerging into view.
The girl walked being held by the two boys, her face pale, and her lips devoid of colour.
The two boys eyed the people in the fifth-floor corridor warily and asked, "How are you guys here?"
Their expressions showed more panic than fear.
Prince inquired, "From which floor did you come up from? Are there still others down there?"
The girl's bloodless lips trembled slightly, but she was restrained by the boy beside her.
The boy replied, "The fourth floor. There's nobody there."
After a brief silence, the girl also said, "Yes..the fourth floor..."
