Jake's Pov As I stood there, the weight of the decision pressed heavily on my mind. The world around me blurred, and the muffled sounds of chaos filled the air. Deep down, I knew that I had a choice to make – a choice between dying alone or dying with everyone. My heart raced, and a whirlwind of thoughts flooded my mind. Fear clawed at me, urging me to run away, to escape the impending danger. But then, amidst the chaos, I saw the faces of those innocent people – the families, the children, the ones who had no part in this madness. 'Well, not like there is any other option' I sighed as this guy literally blocked all exits, save for the emergency window. A profound sense of responsibility and empathy welled up within me. I couldn't stand by and watch as their lives were threatened. A surge of courage ignited within, challenging the fear that held me back. "What if I don't make it?" I wondered. The unknown loomed before me, but the thought of not trying to save them felt even worse. ' Even if I were to die, atleast I died while trying' In that moment, a simple truth crystallized in my mind – the value of human life and the importance of standing up for what is right. The decision was made. I couldn't live with myself if I didn't at least try to make a difference. With a deep breath, I steeled myself for what lay ahead. The path of sacrifice stretched before me, but in that instant, I embraced it. I chose to be the shield that stood between the innocent and harm, knowing that the price might be high, but the purpose was greater. "What are you doing??" The terrorist yelled but I tackled him, fortunately the floor window was big enough, I tried to push him out but he suddenly grabbed me, leaving me no choice, I-I choose to jump with him. Arghhhhhhhhhh He shouts too loudly probably, trying to vent out his frustration, " What a Idiot am I.." Legacies

Lith, arriving at the outer ring of Trawn Woods, looked at Leon and Tista and then at Trion.

"I really wonder how Trion awakened," Solus said to him. "Unlike Leon, who seems like the bastard child of mana itself, and Tista got awakened accidentally while Leon was healing her, he is also awakened which doesn't make any sense as he didnt have any talent for magic though he did have talent for swords but it is unrelated with magic"

' Dont care how is he awakened, we just have to sure he dont accidentally leak it' Lith replied.

This morning, Lith was talking to Leon and Tista when suddenly Solus cried out in surprise, noticing that Trion's core was not stagnant like those of Fake Mages. This led Lith to take him to Trawn Woods.

"Hey Lith, I don't think Tista needs to learn how to hunt," Leon said, shaking his head.

Lith looked at him and replied, "We are not here to hunt today."

Hearing him, all three looked at him with surprise. They thought he was here to teach hunting skills, but it seems that is not the case.

Lith snapped his fingers, causing many earthen chairs to form behind each of them. He then told them to sit and began to explain everything.

10 minutes later.

"Hmm, now that you say it, many times I feel like I am wasting my time by using hand signs and such. I felt it was unnecessary but didn't think it was the case," Leon rubbed his chin and acted as if he is surprised.

Lith nodded while Trion's mouth was wide open, enough to fit an egg. 'They never inherited any legacy like me, but they really picked up those artifacts?' he thought in surprise. Earlier, he thought it was the same case for them too, but it seemed he was gravely wrong.

"Brother Lith, what about the breathing you spoke about?" Tista asked cutely. Although she is only 7 years old, due to Leon's treatment, one can easily mistake her for a princess.

Not to mention she is just started leaning magic so it didnt sound much shocking to her.

Lith nodded and began to explain the significance of breathing, while Trion listened intently. He understood many things wrong in Lith's explanation.

He felt like pointing out his mistakes, but then, remembering the knight figure who prevented him from speaking, he refrained.

'Take them to the trial ground. They are talented enough to be chosen by my colleague,' suddenly, Trion sat up as he heard the voice of the same ancient knight-like figure.

"How can I do that?" he asked loudly, confusing both Tista and Lith, while Leon acted confused as he kept speaking inside his mind in a heavy tone.

'Just stick the ring to your chest and tell them to touch you, and then speak the word "Challenger," and you will be in the inheritance space once again,' the ancient knight, or rather Leon, said, and then he vanished.

" hey! Are you alright?" The sudden pat on his shoulder from Leon took him back to reality.

Trion nodded and, taking a deep breath, began to explain about his dream and how he got an artifact along with many powerful spells and aura arts.

It was now Lith's turn to open his mouth wide enough to fit an egg.

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go," Leon said and then put his hand on Trion's shoulder.

Tista, also jumping bubbly, came to Trion and put her hand on his other shoulder.

For her it was like those legendary stories of heros where they finds legendary artifacts and becomes very strong and saves the world.

Lith felt like something was wrong, but sensing no malice from Trion, he reluctantly put his hand on his shoulder too.

Trion then put his hand on his chest and said, "Challenger."

In no time, Leon took all of them to his Dreamspace.

"Wow, so pretty," Tista exclaimed, looking around.

Leon also acted like he was astonished by the hidden scenery, while Lith went into full combat mode, ready to intercept any danger.

Trion took a look around since he had visited this place in his dream but never got to fully explore it.

Suddenly, from a corner, they heard a rumbling sound, and then a castle-like hill emerged, shaped like a crescent moon.

Curious, everyone approached it and examined the board at the front of it.

[Shadow Moon Castle: Owner: Trion]

Everyone looked at Trion, who raised his hand in surrender and said he didn't know about it.

"It's okay. It was prepared by me for my descendant or for the inheritor of my legacy," suddenly, hearing a foreign voice, they all looked at the source.

While Tista just turned her head curiously, Trion, Leon, and Lith all prepared their spells.

They saw a handsome guy walking towards them. He had red ruby eyes and silver hair and was wearing a black long coat and matching leather pants and boots.

"My name is Arkham. You may also know me as Shadow Moon Knight," he smiled and said.

Trion, hearing this, quickly bowed and said, "Master."

Arkham waved his hand and said, "No need to be polite. After all, I am dead. This is nothing but a sort of memory left by me for the future inheritors of me and my friends." He then opened the gate and invited them all in.

Trion followed after him, and then Lith and Leon looked at each other. Leon shrugged and went after them, saying, "It's not like we can leave this place."

Lith felt like Leon was right and went after them too.

Arkham took them to a garden, which was full of royal blue-colored roses.

Tista excitedly went to pick one, but then Arkham grabbed her hand and stopped her. "They may look beautiful, young miss, but they are poisonous enough to kill 1,000 humans from just touching them."

Hearing this, Tista's face paled as she ran and hid behind Leon.

Arkham chuckled kindly and then waved his hand and did something to the rose. He then passed it to Tista, "Here, it's now free of any poison." Tista took the flower, which was now crystallized.

Arkham then snapped his fingers, creating many chairs for them to sit on. He invited them to sit as the story was very long.

"First, let me tell you the purpose of this place and where this place actually is," Arkham said.

"It's actually inside the bracelet on your hand, young man," hearing him, Leon dumbfoundedly pointed at his bracelet and asked, "Are you talking about this?"

Lith and the others also looked at his bracelet in astonishment as Arkham nodded and said it was true.

"The bracelet is called Dream Escape. It was built by our Queen, Moon Magus Ophelia, and after her death, we, her retainers, enchanted this bracelet to find someone capable enough to inherit her legacy.

"And this led it to find you. You may not believe me, but just 6 years ago, it was an unknown relic in the center of the ocean," he chuckled and said.

"But after it sensed that a mage capable enough was born, it rushed to your location, which took it some years," Arkham said.

And then his body began to fade illusionarily. He looked at himself and then said, "It seems I don't have much time. Anyway, you see that big tower? Just go and touch it. If any of you are liked by my comrades or fellow retainers, then you will be eligible to receive their legacy."

"As for you, young man, please don't tarnish our Queen's legacy," he said and then vanished.

Leaving everyone, especially Lith, with tons of questions.

"Well, what should we do now?" Leon asked after some time.

" I never knew my bracelet was this cool" Leon chuckled and added.

"What else, let's go and touch the tower. Maybe like Brother Trion and Leon, we could get a legacy," Tista stood up and said, pointing at the tower. Her shy nature was no longer visible; the only thing visible was her eagerness to go and get a legacy for herself.

Lith nodded and then said, "Well, it didn't hurt to try." He began to walk towards the tower.

' where is your paranoia now?' Solus asked as she find all of this development too good to be true.

' like Leon said what else can we even do?' Lith shrugged but being mind linked ro bik, she understood Lith is cursing his powerlessness now.

Leon also went with him while Trion said he was going to check out his new castle-like home.

Soon they arrived at the tower, and then Tista touched it. After a second, she vanished.

Lith exclaimed but then, remembering Arkham's words, he said, "Is she chosen by someone?"

"Maybe it's similar to what Trion said, like he touched the tower and then had to fight a black knight before he could get his legacy," Leon rubbed bis chin and then said. He also touched the tower and vanished.

Arriving in the courtyard, Leon sighed in relief.

Laying on the sofa, he mumbled, "Fortunately everything went well."

Since Leon is the god of this Dreamspace dimension, he can literally control it like he wants.

He created a fake avatar called Arkham and then made it act that way.

"This way, I can empower everyone without letting anyone think it was me. Plus, all these legacies come with protection; without my order, they can't share it, nor can anyone forcefully get info on how they got this legacy," Leon chuckled and then waved his hand, creating three screens which showed Trion bathing in a big swimming pool-like bath tub, Tista learning a spell with utmost focus, and lastly Lith fighting what seemed like a hellhound.

For Tista, he generated a simple test on whether she could learn a spell fast enough or not, while for Lith he created a fighting test.

After some time, two new castles were created by Leon in his Dreamspace, one for Tista and one for Lith.

He prepared tests knowing in Lith's dictionary free stuff is the most costlier stuff.

Tista's castle seemed to shift from golden white to black white in color. This was due to an art among the library of Arkham that Leon found most suitable for Tista, called Sun and Moon Empress Art, So, he alao created the castle with smaw theme.

The other castle, which seemed to mix of lava and shadows, was for Lith, who obtained an art called Hell King Art.

Leon then chose nine different kinds of spells for Tista and sent her to her castle.

As for Lith, since he gave him an Aura Art, he chose nine different Aura arts before sending him there.
