World Ender: I Destroy the Worlds for a Living

“If the world wants me gone, then it’s only fair that I destroy it in return, right?” ————— Ever since I can remember, the world has been trying to kill me off by sending various accidents my way. Cars, trucks, buildings falling apart, gas explosions, earthquakes, floods… Even such ridiculous things as falling pianos. I had innumerable near-death experiences. All because I don’t belong. But I guess it’s a small price to pay, cause in return, I am not bound by any laws governing the reality. I can do whatever I want. Once things start getting out of control, I can just destroy the world and move on to a new one. I could just live an easy and carefree dream life, with no effort or consequences. Or so I thought… ----NOTICE---- Although MC may flirt with different girls over the course of the story, this is NOT a harem. No collecting girlfriends or wives. The romance part will start a bit later, and there will be only one female lead. Also, no NTR.

Disturbances and Abilities

It was already evening by the time I got back to the hotel. If it wasn't for my injuries, I probably would have stayed out all night, and gone to a club to look for a hookup, but… A girl I would have gone home with would probably freak out once she saw my gunshot wounds.

So I had no choice but to return and continue healing myself. I needed to fully recover before I could go have some fun.

The boy was already awake, but still lying in the exact same position on the bed. He didn't dare move an inch.

I originally intended to ignore him for now and have another healing session before questioning him further, but as I was untying my bandages, I heard a loud growling. The boy turned completely red, embarrassed.

How annoying.

Well, I guess I couldn't exactly blame him for that. I wasn't that unreasonable of a person. I knew it was just a natural reaction. He hasn't eaten all day, after all.

I went over to him, removed his gag, and untied his hands. Then I threw him some bread I bought earlier. I couldn't have his stomach growling when I was healing myself. It would be way too distracting.

I opened a can of energy drink and lit a cigarette, waiting for him to be done. "So, how did the organization find you in the first place? When you became an outlier?"

"Mm… I'm not sure exactly," the boy answered, swallowing the food. "I think they observe all the worlds, and when they notice anything odd, they go to investigate? Something like that."

"Anything odd? Such as the reality laws being broken?"

"The reality laws?" The boy didn't seem to understand what I was talking about.

"I mean when things happen that should not be possible." I rubbed my forehead, trying to explain it in simple terms. "Such as a person using telekinesis, that is moving objects with their mind…"

"Ah." The boy's eyes brightened. "Yeah, something like that. But it doesn't have to be a person, sometimes weird things just happen on their own."

"So, since we're here now, the organization will come to check this world eventually as well?" After all, even if I wanted to keep a low profile and not avoid breaking the reality laws as much as possible, just my presence was disturbing the reality.

"Yeah," the boy confirmed my suspicions. "But it will take some time, probably. They're very busy, after all."

Fucking great.

Did that mean that I should start destroying this world soon, to ensure that I can move on before they find me again?

A groan escaped my mouth as I leaned back on the bed.

I wanted to have some fun first. Although I enjoyed destroying things, doing this all the time was boring and monotonous. And exhausting. I could hardly get any sleep.

The boy just continued to eat the bread, observing me without a word.

Suddenly, a thought hit me. I immediately sprung onto my feet. "You're an outlier, right?" I glared at the boy with my eyes narrowed.

He was taken aback by the unexpected, very obvious question. "Yes?"

"Then your presence here also disturbs the reality laws."

If that was the case, then keeping him alive any longer would be a terrible mistake. Having two sources of disturbance might lure the organization here much quicker.

The boy didn't seem to realize what I was thinking about, as he just slowly munched on the last piece of bread. "No, not really. I don't know how it works, but the organization limits our powers, so that we can enter different worlds without causing any damage."

Oh?

That would explain why they were so weak, I guess. But I still needed to confirm a few things. "So you can't use those superpowers you said you had any more?"

The boy shook his head in response. "No, not really. Just a bit." He bit his lip and narrowed his eyes, focusing on the plastic wrap on his knees. It slowly raised an inch in the air… but dropped down almost immediately after.

Of course, he could be just pretending to be weak just to lower my guard, but I would test it out later. "What about the man in the beige suit that was with you?"

"Oh, Commander Wright?" The boy still had his sight on the plastic wrap. He attempted to raise it up again, but his second try was even worse than the first. "He's a higher-up, so he can do more, I guess."

Yet again, the boy didn't seem to know much. But with all the information I was able to obtain so far, I could have a good guess on how it worked.

My theory was that the man indeed was capable of breaking the reality laws to a higher extent, but not at all times. That's why he seemed to be extremely weak at first, but somewhat strong when he attempted to attack me.

But was that all he could do? Or would he return even stronger next time?

There was still too much I didn't know.

Seeing the boy was done eating, I came over to tie him again. "I'm not gonna knock you out this time, but you better not make a single noise, got it?"

"Yes, but… Do I need to be tied? It's really uncomfortable, and it hurts…"

I glared at him in response. "Do you take me for an idiot? You're a member of the organization, who tried to shoot me just yesterday."

The boy opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but eventually close them again. There was nothing he could say to refute my words, after all. By the look of his face, he seemed to be feeling a bit guilty. Maybe I could use that.

"Alright. Now try your best to recall everything you know about this Commander… White, was it? I'll need you to tell me as much as you can later."

Finally done with the boy, I finished removing my bandages and sat down on my bed. Then I focused my whole attention on healing, starting with removing the second bullet that was still stuck in my tight.
