Where Was Our Invite?

Dom grabbed his device and sat down on the sofa, he sat across it sideways so that his feet were on one side and his back rested against the other. He felt tired today compared to usual, but more on a mental perspective. He opened the blog up and began reading.

[Golden Sun VI here, I hope all of my readers are well?

Well one of our loyal readers isn't! Our good friend DragonKnight123 has been told by his gaming headset that he isn't allowed to log in for another twenty four hours due to his current mental state. This is great from the headset that it is looking after it's gamers, and that World Conquest Online as a game won't put anyone's mental health at risk.

We hope that DragonKnight123 gets back to normal soon and when his twenty four hour game pause is over he can return and be back to his normal conquering self!]

"Wow." Dom exclaimed, shocked that the game had locked someone out due to the amount of deaths they had. This was definitely a positive move though, as the realism was to good and experiencing death in the game sounded horrendous. Dom continued to read.

[Next up we have an update from our Prince Li Shang, who has let me know that their is due to be a World Rankings shared soon, with the top ten players of each class shared! I believe this has been shared as Prince Li Shang expects to be number one, and who can blame him!

He has mentioned some exciting updates to his Town of New Chang'An, including receiving a new building from a Random Building Cube, which is something some lords acquire to help their Towns grow faster. The building was a basic blacksmith's, which is allowing him to start manufacturing his own weapons. I'm not sure if he has the Ore's but I'm tempted to head there myself after my last few days of forging whilst playing!

He also mentioned that for those lucky players who do rank highly, they may be invited to the games first World Auction! I don't know much about it, but those Top players best be getting currency together so they can bid away!]

"An Auction?" Dom mumbled, thinking about the ridiculous amount of riches currently stored in Riverside. He wondered if he would be in the top players, and hearing the small bits of news about others that Golden Sun VI had mentioned, he felt he could be in the top hundred at least. Obviously most people wouldn't brag about their qualities, and he expected a lot of hidden dragons and sleeping tigers, but he had constant growth and a grade S Town.

He wondered when this would be, and how the game would inform them. He didn't want to launch the Special Quest if he would possibly miss a good opportunity to increase Riverside's capabilities.

[Finally for today I have an update from the player LongBlondeHair who spawned on a large island in the ocean, the island is supposedly similar in size to a continent from earth, so that is a very big island.

She said that the people are highly cultured and wear fine silken clothes, there seems to be no warrior classes bar the players that have spawned and that other than some rather large wild beasts, it's a very relaxed place. She even commented that unless DragonKnight123 and his bad luck spawned there, she expected it could be a holiday resort for players in the future.

Activities she has discovered include the playing of ancient musical instruments, such as the Ancient Chinese Guqin. Poetry and Painting classes, she has even had the opportunity to paint some naked citizens, which is not something you can do every day! The food is mainly fruit and vegetables, but has been very enjoyable.

Now I don't know about you, but if you can play for eighteen hours and just relax in pleasure, that would be the ideal game. So hopefully we can find a way to visit LongBlondeHair soon!

And that is me done for today,

GoldenSun VI signing out!]

Dom closed the blog down and decided to rest his eyes for a few minutes until Andrew or Kai awoke and joined him. Sleep quickly came to him and he was unaware of how much time had passed before Andrew was poking him in the head with his finger and telling him to move so he could sit down.

"Good morning sleepy." Andrew grinned at him when Dom finally woke up, "See, you get up before me, but you are still the same old you."

Dom rubbed his eyes and wondered how long he had slept for.

"Thanks for the wake up." He joked, pushing Andrews hand away as it scruffled his hair.

"Eventful session?" Andrew asked, "You look drained."

"Very productive if I'm honest, just had a battle against another Town and it was hard work, the realism is just to much." Dom answered, "However I decided to dive in the water and rescue one of my Villagers, and it was cold and exhausting."

"Such a hero, even rescuing an NPC. I'm assuming it's a pretty girl." Andrew replied.

"She is yes, but that's not the reason I did it!" Dom argued.

"Would you have done it if it was a burly old man?" Andrew asked with a grin.

"Probably not." Dom agreed with a shake of his head.

"You shouldn't risk loosing your character for NPC's. Lord class or not." Andrew stated seriously, "Stay alive and build the base up, we've got a world to conquer."

They were soon joined by Kai and headed to the Cafeteria for their breakfast. They all wore freshly ironed uniforms, but felt there wasn't much need for them as they'd finished their studies and had their results. They were just waiting for confirmation on the next steps of their journeys.

"Quest completed." Kai said with a smile, "I'm in the merchant group and we are heading to the east now, trading as we go. I've seen some very interesting towns as we have travelled and we are now near the next major city."

"Good going Kai." Andrew said, giving him a thumbs up as he grabbed a tray. "I'm going to have sausage and eggs this morning."

"I'm sticking with Porridge." Dom said, "How has it gone with your group?"

"It's going well." Andrew said, as he had a plate of food handed to him after he requested it from the staff. "Our small fleet have travelled around fifty miles south now, we would have done more but we keep stopping and making trades. I have however been able to recruit a few more players and some interesting NPC's."

Dom and Kai looked at Andrew who seemed to have a large grin on his face as they walked to the table. They all took a seat and placed their trays down.

"What type of NPC's?" Kai asked Andrew.

"I've got a couple of Celtic Warriors, they are huge and have these long sabre's. They are covered in cool blue tattoo's and one of the players I've had join me said he's going to get them to tattoo him when we get chance." Andrew started, "But the exciting one has got to be the...."

"Hey guys!" Alice interrupted as she appeared, "Are you sneaking away early again or are we going to have some fun today?"

"I'm up for some relaxation today." Dom agreed, "I need a break from playing all the time."

"I can understand that, the realism is too much." Alice replied, "It's hard to tell sometimes what's real and what isn't. That's why if I thrash you on the training field's I will be much better."

"I was thinking something that didn't include fighting?" Dom said seriously.

"We could always play some old school Caves of the Abyss for a while?" Alice said, "I doubt there will be many other players on it though."

"....Gladiators." Andrew mumbled.

"What was that?" Alice said.

"I was just saying I'm on a boat with some gladiators." Andrew replied.

"Oh that's good." Alice replied, "I've been fighting some Gladiators recently in the Arena, what type do you have?"

"Erm, just Gladiators." Andrew commented, "Some have tridents and nets, where as the others have short swords and shields."

"Sounds like Retiarius and Secutor's. Both are interesting Gladiator types." Alice said, "Are they any good? You might be able to learn a thing or two from them."

"I may do that, see if I can find a wait to beat you!" Andrew laughed as he placed his cutlery down. "Right, so what are we doing then, seeing as we have no classes?"

"Let's just go outside and lay on the grass for a bit." Kai said. "Maybe have a picnic for lunch."

"You know what Kai, that sounds a great idea." Dom agreed.

Hours passed as they lay on the grass chatting about the past and their last few years together studying. The reminiscing was enjoyable and Dom felt sad that it would all soon end when he moved on. Alice lay next to him and grinned when she saw the sad look on his face.

"Cheer up Dom." She said, "We'll all be going to Central anyway!"

"Doubtful." Dom heard someone say, looking up and noticing that Florence and Claire had arrived.

"Where was our invite?" Claire asked, with a look of fake hurt as she sat on the grass beside them.

"It was Kai's idea!" Andrew said, passing the blame on to Kai as usual.

"Well isn't that very mean Kai." Claire joked as she grabbed some fruit from the basket that Kai had prepared for them, before continuing seriously. "We should start receiving offers tomorrow. It's been an interesting few years, but it's been enjoyable. Thank you all for the good memories, and let us have a few more days of this peace before we start a new."

"Well said Claire." Alice grinned from beside Dom.

"I hope you all get what you deserve." Claire said as she looked over at the men, Kai, Andrew and Dom. "Live your lives well, and hopefully we will see each other again in the future."

Claire got up and waved goodbye, followed by Florence who stared daggers at Andrew as they left.

"That was a bit strange." Kai commented.

"She's been a bit off for the last few days." Alice replied, "I'm not sure what's going on, but I think leaving here and moving to University is causing some emotions."

"She has emotions?" Andrew joked, before receiving a tap on the back of the head from Alice. "ouch, sorry!"

They soon finished their picnic, and bid goodbye to Alice who was going to train for a while before heading to her dorm and game for a bit. Dom watched her go and thought over what Claire had said, a lot would change when they left. He just hoped that he was able to go to the same places as the people he cared about.
