Ch. 12

At the feld, Sheila who was feeling extremely tired to the bone and couldn't even get up anymore, were trying to given up from the very beginning.

But, even though she wanted to stop, she couldn't bring herself to do it because of the pressure she felt. She was starting to questions herself what just happened exactly.

"This is not a normal right? what just happened really? " Sheila said in the verge of crying.

Sheila was wondering why the other students were doing this intense training without even flinching or complaining, but she felt too shy to ask and also couldn't conjure up the strength to speak even if she did want to. She was feeling immensely exhausted from the hellish routine and couldn't even stand up anymore.

Suddenly, the brown short girl who had been whispering about Sheila before, come closer and suddenly say "This is for our survival, this is normal around here.. so don't worry too much." She spoke calmly to sheila.

"By the way, my name is florence, just call me Flo" She said while ignoring the fact that Sheila whos in the verge fainting and did her laps one more time.

With a thud, Sheila finally gave out and fainted. Her legs gave way underneath her from exhaustion and she tumbled onto the ground, motionless. The other kids kept running, not even glancing at her at this point, even though they had to have heard the thud noise.

"FINALLY ONE DOWN!!! 3 MORE TO GOO! "

The teacher said excited with the results.

After a while, three more students fainted. The class was finally brought to a halt and the teacher's harsh and strict attitude was finally coming to end.

"Finally it's overrrr!" Aiko said excitedly and cheerily as she realized that the harsh and intensive physical training was finally ending.

"OKAAY! LIKE I ALWAYS SAID, THE LUCKY OF FOUR PEOPLE WHO FAINTED WOULD BE PUNISHED IN THE SYNCHRONIZED CHAMBER" The lady teacher said while threatening the student so they should do everything they can.

Hearing this, the other students on the field were now feeling anxious and scared. The synchronized chamber was such a ridiculous and scary idea that it was beyond comprehension, they couldn't even fathom the feeling of being inside that ridiculous machine again.

"I rather do these training again" Flo said while stretching her hands.

After a while.

Sheila who wasnt even conscious to hear the teacher threat, has just wake up after the intense physical activity and exhaustion. She woke up in an unfamiliar room, dazed and confused. She could feel her body was sore all over from the running and other workouts but she couldn't remember much about what had happened before this. She even thought it just one of the dream she had.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Those four girls were here to check on her, to see if she was okay after fainting during the activity. They were concerned and wanted to make sure she was alright and didn't suffer any major injuries or anything like that.

They knew just how rough the training was on Sheila because she just transfer here yesterday, so out of goodwill they came to see her and explain to her what the synchronized chamber really is. They also wanted to help by comforting her and trying to said to just accept her fate.

Aiko who was the most energetic and easy going of the four girls, suddenly getting closer to Sheila without a thought.

"I'm sorry to suddenly barge in, by the way I'm Aiko! Nice to meet you, Sheila." Aiko said in her cheerful and outgoing way.

"These my friends!! Please be friends with them too!! " Aiko said while pointing the girls.

"I'm flo, you still remember me right? " Florence said short and simple.

The remaining two who looks plain and simple was kinda girls who actually very considerated towards Sheila.

"I'm sorry for this little jerk who called Aiko, my name is Angela kanabe" Angela was the quietest of the group, but her sharp tongue couldn't be stopped if she was cussing the other. She was trying to put the blame solely on Aiko, who was being rude.

"And the last is me Yuki Hatoru, by the way I'm the strongest in this group, if you had anything to ask with battle you can ask me"

Yuki has a strong vibes presence who knew her capabilities well and wasn't afraid of using them when it was necessary. She was confident in her abilities and wasn't one to hesitate if something required her strength. She offered her service to Sheila if she had any questions related to battle and Einjards.

And apparently she was the leader when a missions was given to them in the past.

"By the way, we're her to tell you something about the punishment, the four people who fainted would be using the synchronized chamber" Yuki said while giving her a guide book.

"This guide book, was very useful for you... So read it before you enter the chamber."

Sheila who was shy didn't say a word but she gave a little nod and a little bit of warm smile. Or course, she was still confused by what the synchronized chamber was exactly but she was feeling a little bit better knowing that the girls knew she wasn't in this situation alone and that they were there to support her.

"Uuumm.." Sheila's shyness made her hesitate, she wasn't sure how to ask the question and was feeling quite scared. She wanted to know what this synchronized chamber was but she also wanted to know if it was something to be scared about.

"I-is that something dangerous?" Sheila asked quietly and shyly, wanting a straight answer to help settle her nerves about this whole situation.

"DON'T WORRY!! Just think about the one you loved!! And you can get it over it essay pessy" Aiko said holding Sheila hand cherfuly.

"Y-yes... "

"Well, that's one of the way to solve it. Just read it okay? " Yuki said while touching her chin.

"O-okay..."

*DINGGG DONG!!

The four girls looked at each other, and then back at Sheila. They knew the time was coming, it was the time Sheila has to face the punishment the teacher was talking about. They knew that it something they'd all have being through before, but none of them wanted to think about it anymore

"Y-yeaahh good luck" Flo said hurriedly leave the rooms.

"DO YOUR BEST SHEILAAA!!!" Aiko said while cheerfully tell her with her bright smile.

"Just believe in yourself" Yuki said while giving a thumbs towards her.

"Please do your best" Angela said while bowing her head.

Time had passed since then, and Sheila was now standing in front of the strange machine that looked like an ordinary container. It is scanning her from head to toe and it was making her more and more nervous every second. Was she supposed to be doing something? Did she have to do anything? She waited for instruction as the machine was scanning her, the nerves and anxiety rising higher and higher.

"RELAX DON'T DO ANYTHING, JUST RELAX" Said that Savage teacher.

According to the guide book, which sheila had read dozens of times before coming here, she's just supposed to remember everything from the beginning of her life and hold dear to the memories. She had to keep repeating it to herself, "Remember everything in detail. Hold dear to it." But it was difficult when the scanning process itself was so uncomfortable.

Suddenly, the chamber container began to close, the strange, loud noise of it made Sheila extremely uncomfortable and nervous. She froze up, feeling trapped from all sides and afraid of what was coming next as the container closed around her.

Sheila who heard this was literally asking in her head " Is it supposed to made that noises? "

With a thumping sound, the container closed itself around Sheila completely. She was now fully enclosed in the container, alone and scared. She could barely move and her heart was racing. Her breath was shallow and she was just trying to calm down and keep it together.

*GUUSSHHHH

Sheila eyes widen in panic as red water began to fill the container on every side. She started to freak out, it was flooding on every side and she couldn't move around and escape it.

Inside that container, Sheila's mind started to panic and go into a sort of survival mode. Her mind kept telling her that she would die here and no one would heard her cry of help.

After a while, Sheila mind starting to connect the dots now and realizing exactly why everyone was so afraid of this machine. She was feeling absolutely miserable and just wanted to get out of here. She felt like she was going to be trapped in the machine forever, like she would never see the outside world again.

Finally, the container was filled with the red water, not even an air bubble left now and she knew that once she breathed in this water it would be the end for her. With her last breath, she took a deep breath and held it for as long as she could, wanting to prolong the inevitable for as long as possible.

*THUUUMMPP

After that loud noise, everything around her becomes dark, inside of her mind she was crying hysterically as the red water began to enter her lungs. After a while,she was unable to breath and started to experience the sensations of drowning. The pain was piercing throughout her bodies, making her body convulsing like crazy.

"S-Seitaaa... "
