236 Preparations (Part One)

Sakura looked at the contraption with a look of disgust.

"Is there a specific reason we have to use that?" she asked, looking up at Irade. "Couldn't we just use a phone?"

She, Katsuo, Michi, Ayai, and Irade were all in the living room, sat around the coffee table. On top of the table was a spider-like machine, with long, spindly black legs. The "body" of the spider was a black camcorder, a red light perpetually blinking as it sat still at the center of the table. Around it were a whole assortment of other cameras and phones, just scattered on the table.

Sakura stared at the big camera-contraption, ignoring all the other devices, sitting cross-legged on the floor next to Katsuo, while Michi and Ayai sat on the ratty sofa. Irade was standing up, her hand on her hip. Gadiel and Tarik were not present. They were outside, getting supplies. Mostly food.

Irade simply shrugged.
