Chapter 16 The Revenge of a Woman

After watching the video, Li Wei immediately gave Xie Wanqiu a call, and the line quickly connected.

"Are you trying to gross me out with this video? Don't worry, I'll keep my promise and won't bother you anymore," Li Wei said in a very indifferent tone.

"I showed you this video because I want the same fairness that you do," Xie Wanqiu replied coldly.

"What do you mean?" Li Wei asked with a slight frown.

Although he didn't know Xie Wanqiu well, through their encounter in her office this morning, he was very clear that she was a very resolute woman.

The way she looked at him with disdain was still fresh in his memory, so he was quite surprised by what she had just said.

"However you came to take revenge on me today, I'll pay you back in the same way. That would be absolutely fair, right?"

After hearing Xie Wanqiu's words, Li Wei was even more astonished. Was Xie Wanqiu really going to protect herself in the same way?

Li Wei let out a cold laugh and quickly retorted, "Is President Xie having fun at my expense? I know you look down on me, but I always keep my word. Rest assured, from now on, there will be no ties between us. As for your husband, Qian Jiahao, even if I want revenge, I will confront him personally, and I won't bother you."

Even though Xie Wanqiu said she wanted to protect Li Wei in the same way, Li Wei found her words to be utterly ironic.

How could a man of his status possibly receive the same kind of retaliation from Xie Wanqiu? If that were the case, it wouldn't be revenge at all, but rather a blessing!

"Tomorrow morning at ten, I'll be waiting for you in my office. A man should keep his word."

"Tomorrow morning is not good. I have to sign a contract with a client."

"Then let's meet at noon!"

Xie Wanqiu's vengeful heart was truly strong to be so persistent.

Moreover, reflecting on it now, Li Wei gradually realized she must have known about Qian Jiahao and Wang Juan's affair for quite some time.

This woman was really terrifying!

Li Wei smiled wryly, "At noon everyone is hungry, who would have the strength..."

"That's your problem, if I don't see you at noon, I will retaliate against you in an extreme manner!"

After saying this, Xie Wanqiu didn't wait for Li Wei to respond and had already hung up.

After putting his phone back in his pocket, Li Wei slapped his own face forcefully twice with both hands; it was quite painful, confirming all of this was real.

As Li Wei was thinking, he rode his electric scooter toward home.

When he reached the base of his apartment, just as he parked the scooter in its designated spot and was about to turn around, he heard two "pop, pop" sounds from behind, which really startled him.

He initially thought the battery had exploded, but upon closer inspection, it turned out to be two beer bottles that had been smashed.

"You're Li Wei, right?"

Upon hearing this, Li Wei looked up and saw five men approach from a few meters away; the leader sported a cigarette, draped a leather jacket over his shoulders, sauntered with a swagger, and wore sunglasses at night.

"Wearing sunglasses at night, you got a serious brain problem?" Li Wei looked at them with disdain.

"I'll just ask you once, are you fucking Li Wei or not?" Ah Biao asked aggressively, pointing at Li Wei.

"I'm Li Wei, what do you want?"

Li Wei quickly sized up the five men. Each held a weapon in hand, clearly coming prepared for him.

Upon hearing the confirmation, Ah Biao shouted with his right hand up, "Take him down!"

The four lackeys behind him, each raising their weapons, charged at Li Wei.

Seeing this, Li Wei quickly turned, grabbed a discarded bicycle, and swung it furiously at the four men.

Using the bike to block the weapons and his feet to kick at them, it didn't take long before all four were on the ground.

After tossing the bike aside, Li Wei beckoned to Ah Biao, "Now it's your turn, come on!"
