The question wasn't new to Roman, it wasn't hard to answer. But after reading the files about the infamous A-listed director and the qualifications to enter his movie, the question weighed differently on him. He knew he wasn't looking for the usual I'm-this-and-that wrapped up in silver and sprinkles of gold words, but a single word or a phrase containing not more than seven words. Unfortunately, he didn't have a reply that short.
"I see myself in him," Roman said, his eyes searching for a hint of emotion on the face of the director, but nothing. "Carman Jones strives through poverty, drops out of high school, and is stabbed by the love of his life. But he didn't let the iniquities of life weigh him down from hounding his dream; he's a strong character which equally needs a person with life experience on such depravities to portray and give it the vim it needs."
