Roman couldn't turn, his heart was swatting painfully. He stayed with his back pressed to the wall as he watched the dead creature- the human- on the ground began to move. It wasn't dead.
"Ohhh, guess I missed." Another piercing whack came, and the undead creature disappeared into the air. "Get inside if you wanna survive the night." The woman didn't wait for him as she entered the house.
Roman entered and hastily shut the door behind him. He looked warily at the woman as he stepped further into the room, each of his steps was cautious.
"I didn't think you'd be awake by this time, I miscalculated. I was guessing by morning." The woman said again, before standing up from the chair she sat, walking towards the burning log.
Her hair was ponytailed, and her outfit made her seem like a hunter, although the clothes seemed worn out. He became grateful he had the bedsheet around his naked body.
