Dear diary
Today was a long day. I had to help my parents down in the store all day. And tomorrow's the first day back to school so I'm all over the place trying to figure out what I'm going to wear.
I hope that I can make some friends tomorrow. My only friend moved to a different district.
We haven't talked in years. I hope I can see her again, at least in person that is. Not a lot happened today. Anyway goodbye.

I sigh as I stretch my arms and close my diary "Belle, time for dinner!" my mother calls from downstairs, "Coming!" I sit up and put my diary in my nightstand and walk down stairs.
As I walk in the dining room I'm met with the smell of bacon, "Oooh breakfast for dinner," I say as my stomach growls at the site of pancakes and bacon, my mother only chuckles. As I sit down I see the T.V. in the living room as some debate is going on. I couldn't tell before the T.V. was shut off and my father walks in from the living room.
"What was that about?" I ask, curiously. "What was what about?" he asks with a puzzled look, "The debate on T.V.," I say as my father helps my mother bring the food to the table, "Oh, not sure to be honest, I was too busy on my laptop to pay any attention to the hypocrites," he says as him and my mother set plates of steaming pancakes and bacon on the table. "Would you like to lead tonight honey?" my mother asks me as they sit down "I did it last night. Dad, you haven't done it in a while," I say as I turn my head from my mother to my father, "Oh fine," he says in a rather dramatic yet playful tone and begins to pray.
After dinner I helped my mother clean up and put the dishes in the dishwasher then dragged myself to bed, "Goodnight mom! Goodnight dad!" I yell from the top of the stairs, "Goodnight!" they yell in unison. I brush my teeth, change into my pjs, and lie down in bed. I have a big day tomorrow. And I know it's going to be stressful.
"Hello, Pizza Hat, Janice, speaking and how may I help this fine evening?"
"Yes, I'll take a small pineapple pizza and a large coke,"
"Will that be all sir?"
"Yes ma'am,"
"Alright, and what is your address?"
I tell the lady my address and sit down on the couch, sighing. I fidget with my locket while taking a quick look around my empty apartment room.
I look up at the T.V. to see a bunch of politics Arguing about werewolves. I wasn't sure why they were even on the topic. "They could kill half our police force before they could draw their guns," One says as he fidgets with his tie, "I can only imagine the damage they could cause, they're a danger to us all as it is," I change the channel.
"Hypocrites," I growl. What they so often forget is that they too, go around killing each other, for no good reason but greed or lust. After a while of watching whatever I could find on T.V. that could spark my interest, the doorbell rings.
I get up and walk to the door, wallet in hand, "Good evening, sir, I have a small pineapple pizza and a medium coke," I thank him, take the pizza and pay him the money "I ordered a large coke by the way " "Oh, sorry," he says as his ears go flat to his head as he begins walking away, "But it's not your fault, you were only doing as you were told, besides they always get it wrong, you seem to have only missed a minor detail. So don't feel bad," he smiles "Have a great night, sir," he says, almost cheerfully, as he resumes walking down the hall to the elevator, "Likewise," I reply as I close the door and sit down on the couch, say a small prayer, grab a quick sip from my cup and a piece of pizza. Then I hear my phone's ringtone.
"Whatcha got for me?"
"Something new,"
"Am I supposed to be surprised?"
"It's about district forty-three,"
"That's a human district, what exactly do you want me to do there without being shot on site?" I ask before I take a drink from my coke.
"That's where you'll be going to school,"
I choked on my drink.
