"Waking up from a fantasy"

"One thing I care about is them posting the photo they made of us on social media, or in the newspaper. I'll ask Matt to take care of that," Aiden took his phone and started writing a text, then sent it, and looked at me.

"Who's Matt?"

"Omega," Aiden explained, then hide his phone and looked at his watch, "The time runs quickly…"

"You need to go?" I asked, understanding his small hint. To my own wonder, I caught sadness in my voice. Aiden kissed my cheek, then stood up and took my hand, pulling me to himself.

"Yes, however, we have still quite some time until we'll figure out where we are, and how to get out of here." He chuckled, then took my hand, and we went along the street, trying to turn back to the park or at least The Café, where we had amazing breakfast.

While walking with Aiden, I suddenly understood that all the questions I had before, had gone. Slowly, with each answer or piece of memory, I understood that I know mostly everything that I wanted. There are only some small things left – how my father really died, how I happened in Dallas, and are there any things left from my mom?

However, I nailed in my memory the words William White said in Aiden's city office, to not be in a hurry to get all the answers at once, as it can be even more harmful. I don't want to forget everything again, especially because of Aiden.

Suddenly I stopped, and turned to him, so he did the same, wondering what I came up to this time.

"I have one more thing to ask you for today." I said, then squeezed his hands and pressed them to my cheeks. "There on my first working night at your nightclub, I remember you said that you won't let me leave you again even if it wasn't my intention. I don't remember yet how I happened in Dallas, but I want to ask you if I ever forget everything again, don't let me or anyone separate us."

I closed my eyes, enjoying the warmth of his hands on my cheeks.

One more reason I closed, was I suddenly felt my eyes wet and didn't want Aiden to see that. I know men don't like women's tears.

"Never," he kissed my forehead, then hugged me tightly, pressing me to his strong body. I felt his astonishing aroma and cologne that started tickling my nose and buried my neck in his shoulder.

It took me a few minutes to turn back to my normal condition, so I straightened up and wiped up the tears quickly, then kissed Aiden shortly. He took my hand and in some short time, we managed to get out of the labyrinth of the streets and happened to be near the Café. There was no sign of the paparazzi, so Aiden led me back to my hotel.

"Will you show me your Pack, one day?" I asked, walking near him, and enjoying the first happy moment in the three years of darkness. Aiden brought some light to my life, and I'm sure, he feels the same.

"Sure," he suddenly brightened up, caught me in his hands, and started whirling me around.

Thank God I wasn't in a dress, or people around us could see my lingerie. I hugged his neck to be sure I won't fall and started laughing, enjoying his actions.

In a few minutes, he put me back at my two but pressed me towards his body as if he knew I need some time to catch my balance again. He kissed my forehead.

"I will also show you your father's forest hut. We just need you to turn into a werewolf. I'm sure it will happen very soon. I left enough triggers for her," he kissed the top of my head, then took my chin with his warm fingers and looked deep into my eyes.

"Triggers… Wait… Those moon badges?" I rolled my eyes in shock, but Aiden just chuckled.

"They also indicate the name of my Pack, so strangers would understand where they are even without asking. Other Packs made those badges for their Packs as well. We agreed on the last meeting," he smiled," I couldn't even imagine they will be so in time."

"The moon? I mean the Pack name?" I tried to guess, but Aiden laughed at my miserable attempt.

"Uhm… Anything else?"

It took me a long few minutes to remember those badges, and turn them upside down to get some ideas into my head. Maybe, it would be easier if I were a werewolf…

"Moonlight?" I suddenly said, but it felt like someone said it instead of me. It felt like there was someone else's mind in my head, and it was way smarter at all those werewolf things than I was. I shook my head, trying to get rid of that thought. Who else can be deep in my head unless…

Suddenly I saw a reflection of a round white moon in a small puddle on the ground. It made me remember all those moon badges I had seen from the time I got here again, and right at that moment, something changed deep in me. I felt hot and cold at the same time, and my body began to tremble. I clenched Aiden's arms, and he immediately reacted. He pressed me tightly to himself and put a hand on my forehead.

"You're suddenly too hot… You're not sick, right?" he asked, looking deep into my eyes. Suddenly I saw his pupils start darkening, and the blue color was replaced by amber. I felt a sharp pain at the back of my head and closed my eyes for a second, thinking it would help.

"I think it's just too much sun. Can we grab some water? I feel too hot," I said, then cling to Aiden instead of letting him go for water. However, he seemed to stay in the same spot without moving. I opened my eyes, and at the same time my mouth.

His eyes were so close to me that I managed to catch how the blue color inside his pupils was mixing with amber, and amber slowly conquered the throne as a strong wave of water conquer the beach. I blinked several times.

"It's not the sun," Aiden suddenly said, then took me in his hands and went in the direction of my hotel. At the first, I couldn't understand what was going on.

"I don't understand, Aiden?" I wrapped his neck with my arms and felt I'm sweating for actually no reason. It's not so hot outside for me to sweat, plus I'm not dressed in winter clothes, so… I couldn't get the puzzles together. However, Aiden seems to get it…

"That's the first stage of the transformation, Letty. Something triggered it. Something finally woke up your she-wolf," he said, walking with me to the hotel.

When he reached it, I could see Mary at the reception desk. She looked at us, and her cheeks blushed to see me in Aiden's arms.

"Marry, could you please call William and postpone the meeting, we were planning?" he ordered her instead of asking, however, his voice wasn't rude, just strict. She immediately nodded and started calling the Beta, "Also, say to him that It had started and earlier than we supposed it would."

He left her without any explanation, went to the elevator, and pushed the button on my floor.

It took us three minutes to get to the highest floor where my apartment was. Aiden entered it, closed the door behind himself with his knee, then went to my bedroom and put me in it. He found without any problems a towel, soaked it with cold water, and put it on my forehead.

"Where are your pajamas? You'll be sweating a lot. You need something very light to wear," he said, and I pointed at my wardrobe. Thank God, I haven't put my pajamas on the same shelf where my lingerie was.

"Second shelf from the down," Aiden immediately opened my wardrobe, took my pajamas out, closed it, and turned to me, "I'll go make a call while you change."

He went out to the kitchen, while I took off my clothes, remaining my lingerie, put on my pajamas over it, and then lay down on the bed, and put the wet towel back on my forehead. Aiden just came inside the bedroom and I saw William, his Beta, came too. He looked at me. Both of them had calm facial expressions.

After observing them in silence for a few seconds, I saw William has some strange-looking bottle in his hands. It reminded me of the bottle I once saw my father was filling with some shining liquid.

"What's that?"

"Wolf's potion. Your father was making them help ease the transformation. He was one of the best potion makers and successfully taught a few werewolves from our Pack," William said, then went to the kitchen, probably to pour the potion into the glass. Then, he turned back with the glass full of liquid that was shining like the moon on the skyline at night. He put the wolf's head-shaped bottle on the night table near me and gave the glass straight to my hands.

"Drink it all at once."
