Chapter 5: Mission 2 And Mission 3

Fortis gripped the stone but in return, it cracked.

"N-N-N-N-N-No!"

While the other four were conversing with one another. Callidus who received the task, bent down and began to pile the sticks and rocks.

"W-What are you d-doing?"

Dux bent down glancing at what Callidus was doing on the sticks and rocks.

"Task, given to me by god"

"Oh, C-Can I H-help?"

Callidus nodded and the two began to posture the sticks and stones. After a few minutes, they were done. Callidus then held two rocks and began to hit the two together, it would generate sparks that even Callidus could see clearly.

[Due to his high intellect, Callidus loves challenges and finding new things]

Callidus kept on hitting the two rocks, and after a few minutes, a small fire started. Callidus wiped the sweat on his forehead. He glanced at the fire.

"Wow…C-Callidus a-amazing!"

Dux patted Callidus on the shoulder, the five of them were fascinated by the fire.

Cedric was also tired and he wanted to rest. Exiting the game, Cedric was back in his apartment. There were a few things that Cedric found whilst playing the game.

First, a Beastmen would have an average of 100 charms already attached to their stats, secondly, right now they don't have any animal ears, tail, or animal tendencies. When Cedric read the description of the system, they first have to find an animal to make a pact with.

Cedric also heaved a sigh of relief due to the info. Cedric was now inside his room, he wanted to sleep first and rest his tired head.

Unbeknownst to Cedric, something else was happening inside the game.

Callidus who had successfully created the fire was beyond ecstatic. He glanced at his fellow creations and back at the fire. Something ignited inside of him, a surge of energy was boiling inside his body.

Callidus glanced at the others who were already asleep, he sneakily left them and ran to the nearby lake. He could feel something inside his body that wants to get out. Callidus glanced at his palms, and suddenly red flames started to develop and shone brightly on his hands.

"Fire…"

Cedric who woke up, stretched his body. He heads into his kitchen eating the stale bread. After eating Cedric went inside the system's room.

As soon as he entered, numerous notifications popped up like crazy!

Cedric zoomed in on the planet, and currently, Callidus was showing his hands to the others.

"It's true…"

His hands were glowing with a red fiery blaze. The others were astounded by such a sight.

"A-Amazing!"

"C-Callidus a-amazing!"

The four creations kept on complimenting Callidus, they were curious as to why their fellow creation's hands had a red blaze on them.

* Creations affinity will drop -5 Affinity!

* Creations won't be sheltered and has a high chance of being attacked by predators, or drenched due to rain]

Cedric immediately began to give a task. For Dux, Cedric tasked him with Celer to hunt for food in the woods, with Dux's strength and Celer's agility they would be a good team and would balance each other's lacking stats. As for Fortis, Cedric tasked him with Lenta to get some lumber.

Though they don't have an axe, with Fortis's strength, with one punch it is enough to break down a tree followed by Lenta's dexterity, she can help by lifting wood.

Receiving the tasks. Celer and Dux left and began to walk to the forest. Fortis and Lenta also left and followed Dux and Celer to the forest.

Whilst Callidus was left and was also given a task by Cedric.

Callidus went to the nearby lake to find a banana tree.

Cedric then focused his attention on Dux and Celer who found a deer. They were both planning on how to catch the dear and after a few minutes of planning, they were both ready to catch the deer.

The plan was for Celer to scare the deer in Dux's direction. And with Dux's strength, he would then kill the deer. Celer began to run in the opposite direction quietly in order not to alert the deer. Celer was hiding in the bushes, when she saw the sign from Dux she jumped out of the bush alerting the deer of her presence.

Celer began to sprint while also blocking the other paths the dear could run to, the dear who was frightened ran in the direction of Dux.

As soon as the dear jumped from the tree on the ground, Dux stood up and grabbed its feet immediately slamming it onto the ground.

With a loud thud, the dear hit the ground and lost its vitals.

"Yey!"

Celer shouted putting her arms in the air.

"T-This not e-enough…"

With their huge appetite, one dear wasn't enough for the five of them to eat.

"H-Hunt more?"

"Yes h-hunt m-more"

Celer and Dux began to search for other prey.

Meanwhile, Fortis and Lenta were gathering wood.

Fortis kept on punching a tree five times. After punching the tree for the fifth time, the tree fell to the ground. Fortis would keep on punching trees, whilst Lenta would help pull the useless branches off the tree.

On the other hand, Callidus is pulling banana leaves that would serve as their plate. He began to gather over 10 banana leaves. Next Callidus began to hit a rock on other rocks repeatedly, and after a few tries the rock cracked.

Next Callidus began to sharpen the edges of the rock using another rock and using his fire Callidus successfully created an axe and a small knife!

Using the banana trees trunk and making them as thin as they could be, Callidus had a tie that he used to tie the rock on the stick.

"I knew that giving them tasks would help them increase their stats, and I was right about that."

Callidus was finished and began to take the items he created back to their camp. He also began to search for twigs for their fire to continue to light.

"Your back?"

"Yeah we back"

Celer and Dux's pronunciation leveled up due to the increase in their intellect. Callidus can now talk fluently also due to his increased intellect.

Dux put down the two deer him and Celer Caught.

Fortis and Lenta also arrived. Fortis held in each of his shoulders two trees, whilst Lenta held small branches.

Fortis and Lenta's intellect didn't increase yet. As such their pronunciation was still the same as it was.

Callidus began to skin the deer, he then took a stick, and with the help of Dux, they inserted the stick into the deer. Soon they both placed the deer on the two y branches.

"Dux all you have to do is flip the deer once you see a part of the deer becoming brown."

Dux nodded in response, and with Celer they began to tend to the two deers.

Whilst Callidus started to give orders to Lenta and Fortis.
