8 The Beast Unleashed

Mikoru still can't believe that the man he is fighting now is the man who destroyed him in the past.

But he can't lose now if he loses now all the efforts of Fina for teaching him will be in vain.

"Welcome to the fourth fight of the trial!!" The announcer shouts.

"The competitors for the fourth fight are "Mikoru Grimrose" vs the self-proclaimed strongest wizard of the kingdom "Eugene Kaisuki!!"

"Let the match begin!!"

Mikoru cast a magic circle shooting a black flame on his hands.

Eugene counters it with water magic.

Mikoru continues to shoot black flame but Eugene keeps countering it.

"Is that all you got? then let me show you what magic really is." Then Eugene cast a large magic circle on top of the arena.

The magic circle released many Ice blocks, the Ice blocks rain down on the arena.

Mikoru pulls his sword on his back and starts slicing all the Ice blocks that are falling down on him.

He keeps slicing on the Ice block that is falling but it keeps raining there's no end to this unless he takes down Eugene, He tries to charge at Eugene but the Ice block hits him.

Eugene pulls the sword on his waist and points it at Mikoru. "You can't win on me." Then he charged at Mikoru.

Mikoru blocks it with his sword, Eugene attacks continuously with no sign of stopping.

Mikoru is blocking but he can't keep it for too long his sword is going to break, he needs to do something before it happens. If only there is an opening.

Then Eugene hits hard making Mikoru to fall on his knees. Then he hits again and Mikoru's sword broke in half.

Eugene looks at Mikoru and laughs.

Mikoru realizes he is in a dangerous position, he looks up and sees a large Ice block falling from his direction.

"Oh look it will happen again, do you remember?" Mikoru remembers their second fight ending with this skill, the Ice block is close to falling.

Eugene slashes Mikoru's feet making him fall down and can't stand up anymore.

Eugene turns his back and slowly walks away, the Ice block falls on top of Mikoru.

The large magic circle disappeared.

everyone thought Eugene wins but before the announcer can say the winner.

The large Ice blocks melt and turn into a large ball of black flame and splash in the direction of Eugene.

Eugene quickly used a magic circle to block the attack but it was too strong, Eugene sprang to the side of the arena.

Mikoru stands up, his body is covered with black flames his eyes are red.

Mikoru dashes towards Eugene, He holds Eugene's hands and throws him to the other side of the arena, Eugene quickly stands up and rushes towards Mikoru with his sword ready.

He tried to slash Mikoru with his sword but Mikoru stopped the sword with his hand, the sword burns and Eugene quickly takes his hands off the sword.

Eugene dashes backwards and starts to cast water magic,he summons a large water ball and casts it in the direction of Mikoru.

Before it hits Mikoru the large ball of water quickly evaporates, Mikoru quickly dashes towards Eugene, he holds Eugene heads and slams it on the ground.

Then He throws Eugene at the air and jumps towards him and tackles Eugene to the ground. Blood starts dripping on Eugene's head.

"We need to stop the fight!" Fina shouts at the announcer.

"Why?" the announcer replied.

"That guy is not Mikoru anymore, Eugene will die if the fight continues!" Fina jumps on the arena and prepares her magic.

"H-Hey wait.... only competitors are allowed to fight." The announcer had no choice and decided to end the fight with a draw.

"All the people that are watching please get out of the arena." The announcer said, many guards escort all the people that are watching out of the arena.

Mikoru notices Fina and turns his attention to her, He quickly dashes towards Fina.

Fina summons a lightning blast to attack Mikoru but he easily dodges it and tries to attack.

Fina uses teleportation magic to dodge Mikoru's attack and she summons a water blast, Mikoru gets hit by the sudden attack of Fina.

"Full yourself together Mikoru don't let your magic consume you." Fina says and summons a barrier around Mikoru to trap him.

He tried to attack the barrier but he couldn't destroy it.

Fina runs towards the unconscious Eugene, "Medic! quick! the barrier can't keep Mikoru for too long."

Mikoru continues to attack the barrier, the barrier cracks and Fina ready herself to fight Mikoru again.

Mikoru finally broke the barrier and suddenly rushed towards Fina with the desire to kill, Fina noticed it and tried to dodge but Mikoru was too fast and the attack hit Fina on the stomach.

Fina sprang to the side of the arena, blood starts to drip out of her mouth.

Mikoru dashes towards her again, Fina tries to move but she falls to the ground. Mikoru is getting close, Fina closes her eyes and starts to accept her fate.

Before Mikoru could get close to Fina, a large scythe fell from the top of the arena and pinned Mikoru on the ground.
