Jake reached a bar that gave him a good and cozy feeling. He entered and sat in front of the bar.
The bartender, who was an old man with gray hair, was wiping the glass carefully.
He looked at Jake. "What can I do for you, sir?"
"Wine, I want wine, the best you have."
The old man widened his eyes slightly in surprise, but it didn't last long, and he went back to his calm attitude.
"We have Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Merlot, and Sauvignon Blanc. Which one do you want, sir?"
"I want something light and fruity yet soft."
The jazz music in the background was so comfortable and soothing, giving off a cozy and relaxing atmosphere.
"Then your choice must be Pinot Noir."
The old man went to the shelf where different kinds of wine were placed.
He got the bottle of Pinot Noir and went back, then took an elegant, luxurious glass, poured the wine into it, and gave it to Jake.
Jake took the glass and drank slowly, savoring the taste of the wine. He felt the fruity taste, which was soft and smooth, making him feel relaxed.
After some time, he finished and noticed the old man standing beside the shelf. He took one of the bottles out and put his hand in its place.
A second later, the shelf was split in half, revealing a door in between.
"This way, sir."
Jake stood up and put some money on the table before he went to the door. He opened it and got inside without looking back or feeling nervous at all.
Once he got inside, the shelf went back to its place like nothing happened.
Behind the door was a small room with reddish-pink walls and nothing else. There were neither decorations nor furniture, but there was one door in the room that was in front of Jake when he entered.
Jake walked to the door and opened it to see stairs leading down. He entered and walked down the stairs.
It didn't take long before he reached the end. He looked in front of him, and this time there were two bulky, muscular men wearing formal suits with black ties and black glasses standing at the sides of a door.
Once Jake reached in front of them, he took a paper from his pocket and gave it to the one on the right. The man took it and nodded to his mate to open the door.
The door opened for Jake, and he walked through it.
Jake found a different world behind the door he walked through. There were different kinds of shops, but most of them were for weapons, drugs, illegal businesses, and so on. There were bars and restaurants too; anything you think about can be found here. This is the black market.
Jake walked around without any surprise in his eyes, as if he had been to this place before. Well, you're not wrong.
'Before I went back in time, someone I knew brought me here to have a drink. Although I didn't know why he brought me here, but I didn't care as I was in a deep sh*t at that time.'
Jake walked through some streets left and right until he arrived in front of a building with a signboard saying, 'Welcome to Lady Luck for information'.
'Lady Luck, my ass.'
He sighed and walked into the building. He took the stairs up to the second floor.
Surprisingly, there was only one room or apartment in that floor. Jake went to the door and knocked.
"Come in~" an alluring voice of a woman was heard behind the door.
He opened the door and entered. Inside was like any normal office you can find; it was even like the CEO's office in Jake's company.
Jake took off his hoodie and sat on the sofa in front of the office.
"Hooo~ What brought a handsome like you here~?"
"Business."
"A calm one, aren't you?"
The woman behind the desk was so attractive with her brown hair and red ruby eyes; her lips with red lipstick were so alluring; and her white, fair skin and her red dress that emphasized her curves made her so beautiful yet sexy.
Her huge breasts gave off a lustful aura, and she was wearing red earrings, increasing her beauty. All in all, she was your sexy, hot, yet beautiful lady.
She stood up from her office and walked toward the sofa opposite to Jake.
'Wow, what a hot lady with a sexy ass.'
Although he thought like that, his expression was calm and relaxed.
"What is your business, handsome?"
Jake took his phone and moved his fingers on the screen, then showed her a photo on the phone.
"I want you to find out everything about this man; his name is Anderson McVilles. I want everything from his normal life to his hidden life."
"That's a huge amount of information."
"Don't worry about the price; I will give you half of the money now and the other after you finish what I want."
"We have a deal then~"
"Give me your bank account."
"You know, we are in the black market, so we don't do that here."
"I'm not a fool to believe that you don't have a bank account under a fake name, though; after all, you have some connections on the surface."
The woman's eyes narrowed, and her alluring attitude disappeared and was replaced with a serious one.
"Ava Swan, the owner of Sunday Company, am I right?"
Her body flinched, and her eyes became cold.
"This is your real name, though, not the fake one." Jake said it with a calm tone, which made her quite angry and annoyed.
Suddenly, a gun was pointed at Jake's head.
"How did you know? Are you working for Black Tiger or the Riders?
"I don't work for anyone; I work for myself."
"Then how? If you don't answer me, consider yourself dead!
"I can't foolishly tell you how; I'm not like some anime protagonists."
Ava looked at the man who was pointing the gun at Jake's head, but then Jake's voice sounded:
"Don't try, or you won't be able to bear the consequences."
"What a bullshit! Kill him!"
When the man was about to press the trigger, a hand grabbed the gun at high speed and took it, then...
Bang!
"Argh!!! "
The man held his shoulder as a bullet penetrated it.
Bang!
Jake shot his other shoulder, making the man scream in pain.
He looked at Ava, who had a cold sweat on her forehead, as she felt afraid; she was a woman who deals with information, not fights after all.
"I don't want to make it more complicated than it is; just do what I ask, and we are good."
Then he disassembled the gun and put it on the table, then walked toward the door.
"What about the money? You said you would pay the half right now."
"After what had happened here, I would pay it after you finish. Then until then."
He walked out, leaving Ava shocked and surprised by what had happened. No one ever made her feel like that.
She felt humiliated.
'Fuck, I didn't even ask for his name! Haaah, let's just do it; it's my job after all. But don't think that this is over.'
She said it inwardly with a cold expression.
Then looked at the man on the ground.
"Go and heal yourself."
...
Jake was walking around, looking at the different kinds of shops, with his hoodie on his head.
'I bet she is angry right now. Well, she didn't expect someone to know her real identity after all.'
He continued his tour while having different thoughts in his mind.
Unknown to him, a curious cat was following him and watching all he did.
'He amazes me with his skills and abilities, the way he talks like he knows everything. I like it~'
