104 Generous Borch

With a bang, Borch opened the lid of the wooden box, and the golden light immediately illuminated Wayne's face. It turned out that this wooden box was filled with all kinds of gold coins, jewelry, and precious stones, almost filling the entire box. Just by looking at it, one could tell that the value of the things inside was quite astonishing.

Borch stroked his beard, and said with a smile: "My friend, this is a decision I made after discussing it with Myrgtabrakke."

"In this box is all the wealth she collected for over more than ten years. I don't know the exact amount, but it must be more than five thousand Oren."

"I think this should be the highest bonus you've ever received after becoming a witcher."

Wayne was shocked when he heard this, and he was indeed dazzled by the huge pile of golden gold in front of him.

He made a rough estimate and immediately knew that what Borch said was too conservative. Although there were many kinds of gold, silver, and jewelry in the box, it was quite troublesome to exchange them, but they all seemed to be quite old and well-preserved. A very popular variety with collectors.

If you are willing to spend time and sell them as antiques or works of art, you may even double the money you earn.

However, logically speaking, this wealth should be the favorite of the Dragon Clan. According to the habits of the Dragon Clan, it is difficult to persuade the Green Dragon to hand over these things. I don't know what Borch will do.

Wayne was curious, and he didn't hide it. He asked his question directly.

Borch was a little proud of what he said. He stretched out his hand and said with a bragging tone:

"It's not difficult. The wealth I own in the Zerrikan kingdom is more than ten times that here. I promised to her that when I return to Zerrikan, I will give her three times the gold and build her a huge house so that she can sleep peacefully on top of the gold every day, and she promised me."

Listening to Borch's speech, Wayne not only didn't feel jealous but was very happy. Isn't it a happy thing to be able to become good friends with a super tycoon?

Afterward, Borch picked up the palm-sized golden scale, handed it to Wayne, and said:

"My friend, after all, money is just a thing outside of the body, but this gift was carefully prepared by me, and poured my heart and soul into it. I call it the Golden Dragon Star."

"You should have noticed that I was born with the ability to change shape. It is not an illusion or deception but directly changes the shape of the flesh. This change will not be interfered with by the demeritium, and will not be cracked by other spells. Yes, a very magical ability."

"And on this scale, I injected this power. As long as you inject magic power into the transformation scales, you can transform yourself into the appearance you want to change through the guidance of magic power."

"However, this scale can only record a changing form, and this change is not unlimited. You can neither become a fly nor a giant. You can only change your body within a certain range, but even so, this should be a very powerful ability."

Having said that, Borch patted his chest and said sincerely:

"I made a total of three of these. The consumption of them almost made me permanently lose the ability to transform. I only gave it to my mate, child, and you. You should be able to imagine how precious it is."

As Wayne listened to Borch's explanation and held the golden scale in his hand, he felt truly touched. It was undeniably a treasure, a rare one at that, with powerful abilities for fighting, camouflaging, and escaping.

Borch had truly considered him a close friend to gift him such a treasure. It was a sincere gesture that Wayne deeply appreciated.

Being the person he was, Wayne was quick to reciprocate. He held Borch's hand and earnestly promised, "It's an honor to be your friend, Borch. In the future, whenever you need my help, I won't hesitate to offer it."

Borch smiled and nodded in return, affectionately patting Sakia's head beside him. "It's only natural. Witchers have long lifespans, and our friendship will endure for hundreds, even thousands of years. If I ever need your help, I'll be sure to ask."

With these heartwarming words exchanged, the two friends happily shared a few glasses of wine.

Despite their inability to speak human language due to their lack of study, Saskia and Myrgtabrakke enjoyed the fruit juice and snacks Wayne offered, happily munching away.

After some time, Borch handed Wayne the last golden horn, carved from dragon teeth. He explained, "This horn may not be rare, but it holds a special significance. Carved from my own dragon teeth and infused with my magic, it shares a connection with my body."

He continued, "Zerrikan, where I reside, is far from your location, making it difficult to communicate. However, if you ever need assistance, blowing this horn will summon me to your side without delay."

Wayne was deeply moved to realize that the horn was a call for help. After carefully stowing it away, he placed a reassuring hand on Borch's shoulder and retrieved the gift he had promised earlier.

It was a set of Gwent cards housed in a large wooden box. The basic card sets alone filled several sets, with numerous other special cards. Even if valued conservatively, these cards were worth hundreds of Oren and were cherished by collectors.

Collecting these cards had required Wayne to expend considerable effort, visiting numerous shops and taverns and spending a significant amount of money and effort.

Borch was delighted to receive this gift. Entertainment items were scarce in the Zerrikan tribe, which was why he enjoyed traveling to different countries. With the Gwent cards Wayne had given him, he now had a way to pass his free time.

Unfortunately, the Borch family couldn't stay for long as they needed to rush back. Wayne managed to prepare a sumptuous lunch for them before they departed, allowing everyone to enjoy a delicious meal together.

Wayne felt a pang of sadness as they bid farewell. They were parting ways, uncertain of when they would meet again.

But Borch, ever optimistic, embraced Wayne's shoulders warmly and reassured him, "Don't be saddened by this temporary parting, my friend. Remember, I am a dragon capable of soaring through the sky. Whenever you have the chance, use the horn I gave you to summon me. I will gladly welcome you to my kingdom, where I will treat you to the finest food, the most exquisite wine, and the company of beautiful companions. We have plenty of time, and I'm certain we'll meet again in the future."
