the witch pt 1 The beggining of a new adventure.

i am Maya, my story begins in a castle, but unlike most, i'm not the princess. i'm the daughter of the Royal wizard and i'm his apprentice. although I don't look anything like him.

Today I got to go to Sonia's school for young apprentices. but, I don't want to go, i already know so many spells, I don't need to go. besides, the royal wizard wants nothing to do with me, and i want adventure.

I'm packing my things, but not to go to Sonia's, i'm going to find the mangroves. My father says if a witch or wizard can find one they will find great magic and they will become the protector.

but sadly, magic is not very welcome among normal people, so to hide more better, i'm leaving my hat behind.

" Maya?" I hear my dad say from behind my door. i take my hat off and grab my things, and head to the window, i grab my wand, which to the normal eyes looks like a stick. my dad yells for me again.

i hop out the window, i use my magic to soften my fall, still hurts though. but a lot less. i throw my hat as to say that i am free and he no longer can control me.

i run into the forest. i smile, my light brown hair flying behind me, i have a flower crown on, my late mother had made it for me.

i make it to the first village on my journey, there is a woman who i assumed was accused of witch craft, this village is one of many who disagree with the practice of magic.

she is being taken from the spot she was burned.

I walk by, i cannot help her, she is far to gone, even if she wasn't i would be exposing myself.

i decided ill make her a proper grave later, they will just dig a hole and bury her, no name. i overheard her name being whispered by some town people. After i left the village a conjured up her a grave.

*here lies Jenna, Accused witch, but she was innocent.*

I walked away, she truly didn't deserve what happened, but i cant change the past.

but i can change my future.
