Chapter 56: The Initiation Ceremony.

For those, who are a bit unfamiliar with Black Clover... The Black Bull Initiation Ceremony is an unofficial event where a senior member of the Black Bull squad gives a test to a newly joined member, for the latter to prove their worth.

After arriving at the Black Bull headquarters, Asta proceeds on introducing himself to several members of the Black Bull squad who are present at the headquarters. Aster simply stood there beside Yami and chuckled as he watched them squabble among themselves.

However, none of them listen to him as all of them are immersed in their own activities. Fortunately, Yami rallied them all in. Asta then once again introduces himself in which one of the members, Vanessa Enoteca, immediately flirts with him before vomiting next to Asta.

Finral continued introducing the members after Yami took his leave to take a dump, the introductions continued with the creepy Gordon, then the sis-con Gauche followed by the drunk and seductive Vanessa, and then to the battle-crazy Luck and finally the dandy Magna, who does not take Asta's recruitment quite fondly.

He then insults Asta and then said that he will not properly acknowledge the latter until Asta receives the squad's signature robe. Seeing that Asta is coveting the said robe, Magna decides to give him an initiation test, while Aster stood there leaning on the wall like he was already forgotten and chuckled at that.

Magna explains to Asta that all the latter needs to accomplish are either evade or block the former's upcoming attack. Both of them take out their respective grimoires with Magna activating one of his fire magic spells and Asta takes a stance with his sword in his hands.

Magna immediately launches his attack at a remarkable speed and as soon as Asta sees it, he realizes that he is unable to completely neutralize Magna's attack. Asta knew that even if he manages to slice the attack in half, it would not reduce the attack's momentum and he would still receive the damage from the attack.

However, as Asta's brain gives up on trying to defend himself, the body still tries to find a way to survive. At that moment, Asta instinctively rotates his sword and receives the attack with the sword's fuller, and shot it right back like a major league baseball player.

His action resulted in Magna's attack being deflected and sent back towards the latter at a similar speed which explodes right in Magna's face, who barely manage to negate the fireball before it scorched him into a toasted loaf of bread.

The other congratulated Asta as he received the Black Bull robe while Vannessa embroidered the logo of the Black Bulls on his headband. The group was cheering and was in a festive mode till they turned back to see the mysterious figure of Aster who felt like he had no presence like his aura and presence were blending within the surroundings.

"How the heck did we ignore you??" Finral asked in shock.

"Don't mind it, I was trained by an assassin for quite a while. Some of that stuck along.." Aster smiled while the rest gulped hearing about the word assassin and realizing that they might really have fallen prey to the charming young man if he had the motive to harm them and that rattled them a bit before Magna sighed and Luck squealed.

"You feel strong, fight me!" Luck rushed in as he activated his boots of thundergod, Aster simply snapped his fingers, and chains of ice rose from the ground and bound Luck tightly and the latter was rendered immobile and unable to resist.

"You are strong, but a little too obvious with your attack patterns, learn to be a little tricky, and then come find me again." Aster smiled welcomingly while Charmy and Vanessa who saw him smile were flushed around their faces, especially Vanessa who was already drunk.

Charmy offered him a cupcake while Vanessa approached him with a flirtatious look in her eye, "so, why don't you introduce yourself to us handsome?"

"Aster Frost, at your service. Hope we get along together." he smiled again while Vanessa puked and passed out.

Magna handed Aster a Black Bulls robe and smiled widely, "now that both of you are officially the members of the Black Bulls, let me show you your rooms."

Magna took them to the rooms they were to stay in and opened the door to present a dirty room filled with dust and cobwebs, "I know it's depressing with how dirty it is..."

Aster was left to the room and he sighed to see the condition it was in, he waved his arms to create an army of munchkin snowmen and left the room to them for maintenance purposes. He sat on the roof to look at the moonlit sky, "A brilliant view," he chuckled, "this might be the only good thing about this place."

Koro Sensei: "Guys, the dorms of Golden Dawn are all deluxe suite level and for being stronger, I am given even more favorable treatment, how about you guys.

Madoka: "The lodgings are quite well and the women's dorms have a separate area and facilities, quite satisfactory."

Aster: "Mine was a disaster, I guess it was to be expected when one joins the worst Knight Squad. I am just an inch away from making myself another castle."

Koro Sensei: "You really know how to pull the short end of the stick. NYUUHUHUHU~"

Aster: "Don't remind me... But I guess, rather me than you guys, I can at least make snowmen to deal with this stuff."

Koro Sensei: "I guess, this makes who you are, you took it on yourself when you could have dumped it on us, none of us would have been wiser about it."

Aster: "Nah, just live as long as I did and you will know how to cherish people."

Madoka: "I did not find Mereoleona... She seems to be off on a tour to somewhere or the other."

Aster: "You can go and travel a bit as you look for her, I can take care of your meals through the send option."

Koro Sensei: "Did you start cooking for the whole squad?"

Aster: "Nah, Charmy handles that with her magic, a top-class-foodie that one."

"Koro Sensei: "So, I guess we can communicate among ourselves, but not with the others."

Aster: "That seems right, it was the same for the last few times as well."

Madoka: "I will be leaving tomorrow, I can't wait around for her to come back, stuck with these weaklings..."

Koro Sensei: "Good Night you two~"

Aster: "Good Night."

Madoka: "Good Night."

The night passed uneventfully and the next morning started with Magna knocking on Aster's door with Asta in tow, "It's time for a tour with yours truly" the imbecile screamed and started running and Asta followed him.

Aster simply floated off the ground and followed behind them. They reached the mess hall and Magna screamed, "this is the cafeteria!"

Charmy could be seen garnishing a cake while they walked in, she saw Aster and offered him a slice of the cake. Aster accepted the cake and took a bite, it was pretty good. But before he could finish it, Magna dragged him along with Asta.

The two were excited, they didn't even notice that Aster was floating off the ground, Magna dragged him to the bath and they found Gordon chilling in there. Asta and Magna jumped in and the earlier boasted about being able to handle more heat being a member of the Black Bulls.

The next destination was the corridor of the Girl's Dorm, "this is the girl's area, step in and you will be killed by the trap magic."

"I guess, you need to step in if you want to get trapped." Aster smiled as he floated a few inches over the ground and passed the line and came back, to look at Magna's jaw that was lying on the floor.

They moved on and reached the toilet that Yami was currently occupying and shut the door promptly. The beast room was next and finally the library, they were walking through the rest of the rooms when they saw someone approach them, she flicked her hair behind and spoke with her nose pointing upwards.

"I am Asta, from Hage Village, hope we get along together." Asta spoke with his usual energy, but got a scoff in return, "I am from the royal family of the Kingdom, how dare you lowly insect dare to speak with me?"
