Gale tried to remember everything about the Arena, but he couldn't. He couldn't remember any fighting techniques, moves, or anything. He knew who he was fighting- a HiveWing named Buzz- and when it was going to start. He wanted the Queen to forget that all of this happened.

He wanted to go home...

Buzz slipped into the shade of the balcony. She was terrified. She hadn't fought a SkyWing before. She barely killed even a LeafWing! LeafWings were supposed to be the weakest tribe, but she had no abilities. LeafWings did have abilities, but they were practically useless in battle. Especially in a place like the Arena, where there were zero to no plants. Only rocks lay scattered about on the dry sand. The only ability that LeafWings had was Leafspeak, which allowed them to speak to plants. HiveWings had many abilities, such as venom, but she couldn't use them. She would have to bite her victim to use it. She stepped out into the sunlight, seeing a SkyWing staring directly at her. The SkyWing roared, saying "I'M NOT GOING TO FIGHT A FEMALE!" The crowd booed at the SkyWing, roaring in anger. Buzz wanted to disappear. She wanted to leave. The announcer said, "If you will not fight this HiveWing, then you must at least fight a RainWing." The SkyWing agreed, and Buzz was brought back to her cell.

Gale screeched in anger. This was the fifth time that the RainWing had gone invisible. He heard Hurricane cackling from her perch, and thought "𝘖𝘩? 𝘐𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘢𝘶𝘨𝘩, 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧!" He screeched again as the RainWing scratched his tail. He lashed his tail, hitting the RainWIng instantly, and smacked him out of his invisibility. He leaped onto the RainWing, grabbing his head and smashing it into the ground. Gale pulled his head back again and bit him on the throat. The RainWing screeched through his blood, snapping his jaws at Gale. Gale released his jaws from his throat, smashing his head into the ground again. The RainWing turned his head around, opened his mouth, and fired his venom. Gale dodged it, terrified. He had heard history about a RainWIng named Glory who had burned Queen Scarlet's face off. Scarlet somehow hadn't died but was later killed by Queen Ruby, an ancestor of Hurricane. Glory had been a Dragonet of Destiny who had died many years ago. None of the dragons during that time were still alive, but the Dragonets of Destiny died of old age. Only those who could transfer their consciousness to other dragons lived. Usually, they chose dead dragons. He didn't know how they did it, or what species specifically could do it, but he knew they could. He slashed at the RainWing's throat, drawing more blood out of it. The RainWing toppled backward, smacking against a few of the rocks. Gale bit onto his leg and dragged him, occasionally hitting him against rocks. He reached the other side of the arena, spun around, and whirled the RainWing at the wall. He started dragging him towards the balcony underneath the Queen, dragging him to the teeth-like stone structures that hung underneath it. He choked the RainWing, and held him up in the air, stabbing him through the heart against the teeth of the balcony. The RainWing, somehow still alive, thrashed his claws through the air. Gale still held his body above him. Eventually, the RainWing's claws slowed down, and then they stopped. He was dead. The crowd cheered, excited that the RainWing was brutally killed. Gale glared at the dragons in the stand, angry that they were happy because a fellow dragon died. The announcer called him victorious, saying that he was a cold-blooded killer. He was led back to his pedestal, trying not to thrash out, rip open his wings and smack the guards out of the air. He was chained back up and thrown onto the pedestal. Gale turned around and glared at the guards as they flew away, up towards the main hall leading to the throne. They must be getting the food, he hadn't been fed in a while. After all, he was a guard once. Surely they would know that. A lot of news and rumors had come out, rumors about why he was being punished so severely. Shiver was only a prisoner, nothing more. Gale didn't know why the Queen cared about Shiver so much, or even why he was a prisoner in the first place. Gale didn't care that much, though, as Shiver was most likely gone anyways. He was going to ask once he was freed from his bondage, but he was only one fight into his sentence. He needed to survive the next 199 fights to be freed. There was only about a .5 percent chance of him surviving the rest of the fights, but he needed to get out of there. He had heard of a way to break chains, but he couldn't remember anything that had happened a few weeks before his imprisonment. He remembered a few things from his childhood, including a few history lessons about the Dragonets of Destiny. There was a MudWing named Clay who was helped by a SkyWing who had firescales. He couldn't remember what

the SkyWing's name was, but he did remember all of the Dragonets of Destiny's names. First, there was Clay the MudWing- a dragonet born from a blood-red egg, which made his scales resistant to fire. Then there was Tsunami the SeaWing, the lost heir to Queen Coral. There was Glory the RainWing, the dragonet who had melted Queen Scarlet's face off with her venom, and then there was Starflight the NightWing, who didn't have any powers somehow. Finally, there was Sunny the SandWing. Sunny didn't have a poisonous barb at the end of her tail. She was very small. There were rumors of a SkyWing egg that had been destroyed at the bottom of a mountain by Queen Scarlet, and that Glory was a replacement for it. Gale watched as the sun started to set, making the sky turn yellow, then red, and as the hours passed, it finally turned black, the stars and three moons littering the sky. He closed his eyes, hoping that tomorrow he could fight again.
