The Dragonets of destiny

Waking up I manage to stop my self screaming in agony as tears streamed down my snowt, my body shivered violently while I tried to slow down breathing. After a few minutes I had managed to calm down enough to think straight ' Why was that so much worse that was the first time ever seeing thoughs Dragons so it doesn't make any sense for my nightmares to get that bad.' I Trying to think of a reasonable explanation but couldn't come up with anything so I just forced it all to the back of my mind. When I had fully regained my composer I noticed that it was still around an hour before sunrise but not wanting to experience my new painful nightmare again. So I decided to stay up and occupi my self by doing some basic exercises which was quite hard to do with the limited room and my still injured body but I managed.

By the time the Sun began to rise I'd finally finished exercising and was back to my normal self. However before I could rest a large of Skywing guard's flew out of the palace began to grab the three Dragonets that arrived yesterday. Another group made of a dozen fully armed and armor guard's came to my tower to grab me but unlike the other's they were scared to get close to me which I could blame them considering the last fight with me so I decided to help them out. " You know I have no reason to fight because I do I'm pretty sure you'll just drop me and I don't have much interest in a early demise." I said non shalontly which seem to do the trick as two of the Skywings landed on my tower and removed my restraints before carrying me to the skypalace with the other dragonets. Now that I was paying attention I noticed how awe inspiring the skypalace was half of it was open to the sky and filled to the brim with defenses while the other half was carved into the mountains peak with interconnecting tunnel's and caves. We were lead though the tunnel that connected to the arena eventually entering the balcony that was two levels above a main hall with five more levels above making a total of eight floors with dragons rapidly moving between them. As we continue toured the throne room the Mudwing Dragonet got distracted not wanting them to get in trouble for be to slow a gave him a light nudge and whispered. " Keep moving the guards are agitated enough as it is best not to make it worse." Before moving ahead into the Scarlet's throne room. The skywing queen sat upon a rock column carved into the shape of clouds a hole floor above to look down on other dragons, while the wall opposite her was open to the sky that revealed a steep drop. Not far from the queen was the rainwing laying on there tree with two guards by her, the Nightwing Dragonet was currently bowing when the Mudwing caught sight of them he ran over to there side and began to talk with them. ' Is this dragon slow or something they have to realize the situation that there in.' I thought as Scarlet reprimanded them " first you bow to me and then you stay put until I'm ready to address you. Really what are they teaching Dragonets these days? It's so very disrespectful." Which caused the Mudwing to apologize and get into a similar bow to the Nightwing at least attempt to after giving them a disproving look Scarlet then turned toward me. " And you. " The queen asked to which I responded in a sarcastic tone. " My apologies your majesty but I am still recovering from injurys and can not bow at the moment." I then gave them a defiant smile and rising to my full hight however before I got to see their reaction everyone's attention was caught by a series of curses coming from a seawing that was being dragged into the throne room bound by a pack of Skywings. When they had finish rolling her to the Mudwings side Scarlet spoke up while looking amused. " Well hello we've been waiting for you I gather you're enjoying your stay?" " This is outrageous" the Seawing hissed. " How can you treat dragons this way? Especially us we're the..." " Dragonets of destiny yes very thrilling." As Scarlet continued to speak with the others I heard nothing as my mind was only focused on what she just said. These Dragonets are the Dragonets of destiny that I've been hoping to see all these year.

My heart began to beat faster as I felt tears threatning to spill out but I managed forced these feelings down as looked toured Scarlet. " Are you saying that these three are the Dragonets of destiny." I asked pointing to the three near me which seemed to catch Scarlet's attention as a amused smile appeared on their snout before replying. " Aw I almost forgot to introduce you all to each other this here is the Skywing Dragonets of destiny that managed to escape my clutches." After hearing that the other three Dragonets jaws dropped in complete shock which caused Scarlet's smile to grow before they continue. " And these are the Dragonets of destiny that were hiding under one of my mountains these past six years. Who would have known that all five you would be in right under my snout all this time." Now having my thoughts confirmed I was overjoyed that I'd finally got to meet the other Dragonets of destiny and was about to scoop all four of them into a hug before I stopped myself.

' Now is not the time to celebrate we are still captured and there's only five of us here. I need to keep them all safe and figure out way to escape while trying to find where the last dragonets is.' I reminded myself while wiping the tears from my eyes and refocused on my surroundings. " Ah how adorable what are beautiful reunion hahaha." Scarlet mocked which caused me to glare at her. " Ow, stop I have a question! Excuse me, your majesty," the mudwing dragonet said catching mine and Scarlet's attention. " Where Sunny? Is she all right?"

" Oh the funny- looking sandwing," Queen Scarlet said " I think Burn will like her very much. She collects curiosities. You should see her palace. It's quite horrifying - full of two-headed lizards and seven-toed dragon talons and stuffed scavengers with the palest skin you ever saw." She shuddered. " That mishappen dragonet will be the perfect present for her."

Hearing this made me sick and I wanted to tear Scarlet too shreds but I kept myself calm and stayed quiet hoping to gain some useful information. " You can't give Sunny to Burn." The Seawing flared. " We have to stick together!"

"I can do whatever I like," queen Scarlet said. " This is my kingdom." " What about Glory?" Asked the Mudwing. " What's wrong with her?" 'So that's her name good to know.' I thought giving the rainwing a quick glance before refocusing on the conversation.

" Nothing's wrong with her," said the queen." She's quite perfect, if you ask me. A lovely accessory for my Throne room." " But why is she - sleepy?" The Mudwing asked. " Rainwings are naturally lazy creatures," Scarlet said. " Haven't you noticed? But then, Mudwing aren't known for their brains."

The more Scarlet talked, the harder it became too stop my self from trying to kill her. I had never had so much hate for a dragon before nor had I wanted to kill one, not even the Skywings soldiers I fought or Cinder who abandoned made me want to kill them. But Scarlet's insults and dominance over the other dragonets truly in raged me.

"You have to let us go," the Seawing said. " You Can't stop the prophecy and we'll -" " shush," said the queen, and one of the soldiers prodded the Seawing with a long stick which caused me to let out a low growl which startled every dragon except scarlet who became more amused before turning back to the Seawing.

" Your spunkiness is starting to bore me. Now listen. In two days, we are having a big celebration for my hatching day. I want all three of you to be thrilling and fierce in the arena for me. But I also promised my subjects that the fights until then would be exciting, so if I put one of you into it, it would be very thoughtful if you could win. So. Is the Nightwing up to it? Which of you is most likely to win a battle to the death against, say, an icewing's?"

" Me," Said both the Mudwing and Seawing Dragonet at the same time. while the Nightwing looked at their talons miserably. "Adorable," the queen said, narrowing her eyes at them " but seriously."

Both the Dragonets began to argue with each other I began to laugh which put everyone's attention on me which was the goal. " Haha I think your choice is obvious Scarlet." I said which made queen Scarlet curious. " Oh and how is that." She asked expectedly, while the other dragonets listened in.

" Why me of course I'm the only Dragonets of destiny that can give you and your subjects an entertaining fight." I replied with confidence. " And why do you seem so confident that I will pick you, what makes you so much special?" Scarlet questioned as a amused smile grow on their snout which was the response I was hoping for. " Well there three simple reasons why I'm the best choice. One I'm the most unique dragon here since I'm a hybrid and I am very striking too look at. Two I'm by far the best fighter here do to how many soldiers you needed to capture me." I said and I could see that my plan working as Scarlet was becoming more interested with every word I spoke but before I could continue the Mudwing spoke up. " I'm also a good fighter and he isn't in any shape to be Fighting."

" That's True do you think you could fight even with your injuries? even if your more interesting looking then the others it would be very disappointing if you can't put up a fight." Scarlet questioned. I glared at the Mudwing for almost ruining everything. " Yes I can still fight in fact I'm confident I could take on one of your soldiers maybe two and still win, but I have a question how hard was it to capture the rest of the Dragonets compared to me." I hissed while pointing at the others Dragonets.

" It wasn't anywhere near as hard to capture them so I guess your right. But what was the third reason I should choose you when I could save you for my hatching day?" Queen Scarlet asked. " The third reason is what I represent I'm the Dragonet that to get away. The abomination that escaped your grasp doesn't that stain your reputation. If you showed your dragons that you managed to captured me it would only make you look good." I said hoping this would be enough to convince her. " Take the other three away let's see how well the freak does." Scarlet said with a malicious grin. While the other's began to get dragged away I saw the Mudwing had look of concerned, so I gave them a grin to reassure them before being brought to the arena.
