Chapter 7 - The Sevens

[Intro]

Even though the sky is covered with dark thunder clouds, it was still beautiful. I was always scared of the sound of thunder since I was young but when I saw lightning ripping through the night I couldn't help but admire its beauty.

One night, I went for a walk when I couldn't sleep because of the rain, then I got lost in the big hospital and while trying to find my way back, lightning struck and the entire hallway lit up, seconds after thunder came which shook me to the core. The buzzing sound in my ears, the vibration I all over, thunder still scares me but the lightening was to beautiful to ignore.

"So, you’re finally going home Louis?" Val said, not sounding like her usual self. It's not like I didn't know already, we all leave eventually, it's just his time. "You'll come to visit me, right?" She asked.

"I'll definitely come to visit you" I replied with a smile, I'm finally leaving, it's been three months since I've come here, three months since she left. "Thanks, Val," I said, holding back tears. my time here was never boring ever since I met you, I'm happy we become friends. Getting into the car I stick my head out the window, "See you soon Val!" I said waving goodbye.

While waving my friend off tears started to flow, even though I kept it secret that we were neighbors, it's still sad being left alone again. "You better come visit, Lou," I thought, after the car was no longer visible, nurse Santy took me back in.

"I know it's hard to say goodbye to friends but I know Louis, he'll be back tomorrow to see you," Santiago said.

"Thank you, Santy," I said, reassured by his words I asked him, "Santy, when can I leave the hospital?" I know it's important to take my medicine but now that Lou's gone, it'll be a bit lonely.

"Don't worry, you'll leave soon with me and Dr. Brigid helping you, just do your best" he stated.

That's right, I need to do my best so I can be with them sooner, so wait for me, Lou.

[Present]

"and I definitely need to thank you to Val, since I forgot my sword at home, I showed Ms. Amber something embarrassing earlier," he said, with a determined look he advanced coming at me fast, "So thank you for this opportunity, to beat you with my partner!" his words showed determination, sparks flew out as Ghost walker finished it's transformation, "Let's do this, Kusanagi!!" He yelled.

I see you still the same as ever, "I always love it when you fight me seriously but you're still holding back, aren't you Lou?" Pushing him back, we started exchanging blows, each time our swords clashed he'd get faster and more accurate. "Hey, Lou? You unlocked your wings, right?" Pushing him back once again as I asked him. The fact that you can use Ghostwalker so well, just shows how hard you’ve trained, but my Legacy is different, it’s too bad you forgot your swords, even though both were made by the same materials, Legacy is still superior to Ghostwalker, that’s how strong the Seven Tower Weapons are.

Readying myself for retaliation, I Focused my breathing and mind, eyes forward, stabilizing my legs. I could hear my sword singing in anticipation, waiting for the moment it can let loose, "Here I come Lou, prepare yourself!" Holding Legacy with both hands parallel to the ground, launching myself at him and swinging with all my body weight behind it.

Louis readied his sword and started to swing with all his might, but the two never connected. Raising his head to see what happened, only to find Ms. Amber blocking both of them, using her daggers like guards, stacking three together under her foot to block me and seven on her forearm to block Val's struck. "What was that for Ms. Amber? It was just about to get fun dam nit!" I shouted, waiting for a reply, she didn't say anything, just glaring at me, "fine… I'm sorry ok, I won't do it again." As I apologized, she released my sword.

"I was trying to get your attention for a while now but you two were too absorbed in the fight to notice, so I stepped in, it's that simple." Ms. Amber explained, "if your still not satisfied, then start training and prepare for Towers Peak, since the preliminaries start next spring on April/4th" she declared, so we only have three months left to train.

With this in mind Valerie and I decided to hold off our match till the preliminaries, "I guess it's over, for now anyways, just so you know, next time we fight Val, I'll win!" I declared with a grin, matching my enthusiasm she agrees.

"Just so you know Louis, Ms. Amber was right to stop our match since your not ready yet, but I can't wait to see your full abilities later," she said, her smile was cute and her words fired me up, I really missed you Val, "don't disappoint me, okay?" With this, she waved me goodbye and left.

"Don't worry Val, next time will be different, I promise."
