Jane's expression turned serious as she contemplated Marissa's question. "I don't know all the details, but I remember Jackson mentioning something about Blake being involved in a serious accident two years ago. It seems like he had some injuries, but I'm not sure about the specifics. I recalled Jackson telling me about Blake refusing to meet anyone including his family at that time."

"I see…" Marissa sighed, feeling a mix of relief and guilt. "I guess I should talk to Blake directly about it."

"That might be a good idea," Jane agreed. "Communication is key, especially in situations like this."

Marissa smiled, "Let's go…"

The two of them got out of the car and headed into the mall, putting aside the heavy topic for the moment to enjoy their shopping day together.

"What's for lunch?" Marissa asked as they were heading to the shop that had a variety of dresses.
