The Guilty Feeling

"She did kill your dad."

The words rang in his ears. Blake's eyes rounded but a few moments later, he scoffed. He couldn't really believe what his grandmother just said. "Grandma, don't you think you have gone too far?" His eyes reddened. The mix of anger and frustration made his lips tremble. "You couldn't accept dad taking his own life and you blame mom for that?"

"No…" Ruby looked up. "That night…I heard she was talking on the phone…I heard her…" She gulped. The guilt that she had since then made her become she these days. "I should have checked on your dad that night, but I went out…thinking that I heard her wrong."

Blake's contorted. He found it hard to understand the whole things that his grandmother was talking about. "Tell me! Tell me clearly!

"She said she prepared his drink as instructed." Ruby's eyes were looking on the floor and looked lost. The memories she hid deep in her memories resurfaced once again.
