"What happened?" Marissa asked the moment her eyes opened. The light that was coming into her eyes made her shut them back. Frowning, she swallowed her saliva as she felt the dryness of her throat. "Mom…"

Wanda held her hands, "Yes honey…"

"Water…" Marissa said, clearing her throat.

Wanda took the glass of water and put it on the table beside the bed. "Come, let me help you up first…" She held onto her and pulled her up gently. "Here…drink slowly…" Putting the glass near Marissa's lips, she let her drink carefully.

Fixing her posture after drinking, Marissa leaned to the headboard, "What happened mom?" She asked again as her question was not answered earlier.

"You collapsed yesterday…" Wanda put the glass back on the table.

"I did?" Surprised, Marissa's eyes widened.

Wanda huffed her frustration out. "Let's get back to our hometown when you are discharged."
