Alexander's children
After leaving the police station Sigmund headed straight home. Once he was near his house Sigmund could feel the presence of three individuals. He could already guess who they were but didn't bother to call them out.
When Sigmund entered the front yard a ball of flame came hurling towards him from the side. Sigmund evaded by jumping forward but the moment he did so layers of ice had captured his legs. Sigmund used his sword to slice the ice, yet as he did that three people had appeared and were charging at him, one at his front and two on his back.
The attackers swung their weapons at him, but before they could even make contact with Sigmund's body they stopped. They couldn't move an inch as they were covered in wires.
"Are you guys trying to kill me?" Sigmund asked the boy in front of him.
"Stop being overdramatic Aniki. Even if we do manage to hit you, Nana Anita is here. So as long as you don't die immediately, she could bring you back." The boy that spoke was Randolph Carlo Samarita, Alex's only son that he had with Evangeline. He was given a second name that was similar to Alex's adoptive father's name. He had a fierce look about him, with his silver hair that he inherited from his mother, he looked like a character that came out of an anime. Though he looked a bit older he just recently turned fourteen this year.
"Tell me where we went wrong Sigmund nii-san." The one who spoke next was Amelia Samarita, Rachel and Alex's eldest daughter. She had long black hair tied in a ponytail, like her father Amelia's facial expression looked devoid of any emotion. She was the same age as Randolph but a bit older by a few months.
"I almost got you Sigmund nii-chan." The last one to speak was the youngest of the three. She was Hime Samarita. She was the youngest daughter of Alexander and her mother was Rachel. With her big round eyes, her twintails that resembled her mother's and her cute smiling face, she was a force to be reckoned with.
Hearing them talk at almost the same time made Sigmund sigh. He looked at each of them and released his wires.
"Alright, first off, you guys don't need to do this every time you come here. Also, Randy, I don't really need my mom to patch me up since it doesn't look like you three will ever be able to even graze me. I just said, are you guys trying to kill me, not because I thought you were trying to, but because it felt like you weren't." Sigmund who had a serious face all this time finally showed a childish smile that befitted his age as he spoke.
"As for your mistakes Amy, there were a ton of them. The first thing is that you three aren't exactly quiet. You moved too much and the shoes you three are wearing aren't exactly shoes that promote stealth. So you lost the element of surprise, now that would've been alright if you already knew that you weren't going to surprise me. Thus you must always assume and move in such a way that you consider that the enemy knows you are trying to surprise them. Next, you made Hime attack me with a fireball at my blind spot, that was alright but it was pretty predictable. Finally, you three attacking me at the same time in close range, even after knowing what weapons I use is pretty stupid if you ask me. There are a lot more mistakes you made, but those were the highlights. Are you satisfied with my review of your attempt on attacking me, Amy?"
Amelia didn't respond as she lowered her head obscuring the view of her face. Sigmund then came close to Hime and started patting her head. Doing that made Hime pout, it was a cute reaction which made Sigmund's smile grew a bit wider.
"Maybe next time, Hime." After saying what needed to be said the four of them headed inside the house were Anita was waiting for them with dinner. While eating their dinner, Sigmund told his mother about everything that happened today. The three siblings listened to Sigmund's story with interest. Anita, on the other hand, just accepted whatever happened like it was normal.
After Sigmund told his story, the others started talking about their day as well. The five of them talking happily at the dining table made Anita smile a gentle smile. While watching the children talk about their day, she remembered something Lyner said in the past.
"I hope the two of us can create a family that could smile while eating dinner, lunch, breakfast, whatever. Just thinking about that makes me want to... You know I was a person that has been seeking a glorious death, a death that won't shame my comrades who had died before me... That was my dream. But nowadays I've been thinking of a new dream, one were you, me, and our kid sitting together happily talking at the table. Just a little silly, happy dream."
Remembering Lyner's face as he said that was a sight to behold. The feared monster of Berdonia was actually blushing a bit while showing a silly smile.
'That dream you had Lyner it kinda came true... The only thing missing is you...'
