Kole carried Neju down the broken building and ran back to the field where Lu was waiting for them. Lu said, "There you boys are! I thought I had to get Mr. Nafario to look for you two!" Kole placed Neju down and shouted, "He's here!? Is Mr. Nafario here!?" Lu said, "He arrived at the port a few minutes ago, but he was all tuckered out, so we had your friends take him to the barn. He should be awake now."

Kole lowered his head and said, "Thank you very much!" Then he ran off. Neju said, "Nafario is really important to that boy, isn't he?" Lu said, "Of course. It's only natural since he's been under Nafario's care for so many years. I just wish Kole could remember that.." Neju walked up to Lu and said, "Don't worry about it. I'm sure Nafario is happy having things the way they are now."

At the barn, Kole got inside, and Ice said, "Kole! Look who's here!" In the center of the barn was a familiar fox. "Mr. Nafario!" Kole shouted happily. Mr. Nafario turned around and said, "There you are. I was wondering where you'd might be." Blaze was sleeping on top of Milo, who was also sleeping. Ice was sitting next to Mr. Nafario, and Lark was sleeping in a corner. Blacksmith was no where to be seen.

Kole said, "Mr. Nafario! Can you teach me how to be a Soul Catcher? Please?" Mr. Nafario looked at him with an excited look and said, "Absolutely. Lets go!" Mr. Nafario stood up and walked out of the barn with Kole close behind. Ice looked around then said, "It's too boring in here." He stood up and followed Mr. Nafario and Kole.

Mr. Nafario led Kole to the docks and said, "You smell like them... Have you met Neju and Lu?" Kole said, "Yeah. Neju tried to teach me, but something happened and he got too tired." Mr. Nafario said, "I'm now convinced that he's older than I. Let's go to the Spirit Realm." Kole and Mr. Nafario went to the Spirit Realm, and Mr. Nafario said, "Let's do the basics."

After a long twelve hours, Kole was done with the basics of being a Soul Catcher, and a Soul Animal in general. After leaving the Soul Realm, both winded and tired, Mr. Nafario said, "The hard stuff should be a little bit easier now. I'll teach you more tomorrow." Kole yawned and said, "Yeah, alright." They both walked back into the barn to a disturbing scene.

The barn door was broken open, and there was shouting coming from inside. Mr. Nafario and Kole rushed inside and they saw Edward in the barn with Blacksmith pinned down. Blood oozed out of his wounds, and it seemed like everyone was having trouble in getting Blacksmith free. Mr. Nafario said, "Outrageous! How dare you stoop so low!"

Edward turned to look at Kole and Mr. Nafario. His eyes were no longer brown, but red. Tears were running down his face, but he wore a mean expression. Mr. Nafario sighed and said, "We're too late. We lost Edward. For good." Blaze struggled to get up while saying, "C-Can't you save him?" Lark was knocked out, and Milo wasn't even in the barn.

Ice was also knocked out, so that meant that Edward is obviously aware of how strong he's gotten. Kole growled and shouted, "Edward! Stop this!" All Edward did was roar and ran to Mr. Nafario and Kole to attack. Mr. Nafario and Kole rushed out of the barn and Edward ran into an old building. He quickly turned around and rushed up to them again, but Kole and Mr. Nafario ran off in different directions.

Edward ignored Mr. Nafario and immediately rushed after Kole. He didn't even think was about it, which made his motive clear. Kole stopped and let his flames engulf his body. "Alright then! Let's fight, Edward!"
