Ra remembered the crystal disk Instructor Shizune had used for the soul formation, but after thinking about it he decided it was likely a containment device and he had no use for such things. By this time Ra had already mastered the use of portals, what he had to do was to construct a formation that would allow him access to his anima. After composing his thoughts he drew in the surrounding energy, he was a little surprised to learn how much he actually knew about the process once he had begun. With a thought; several portals opened and power surged out of them, they gathered in front of him radiating immense strength. The scene around Ra was extraordinary, a dazzling display of light and flashes caused phenomena to appear in the sky, multi-colored divine arrays began to form as Ra's clothes rippled violently from the effects of the rampant energy. At the center of it all; A small bead of light was the result. It was pitch black with a suctioning force to rival the abyss. Panicking: "It's this strong?" Ra felt himself being pulled towards the small black dot, he felt as if his body would fold and twist to fit through the space, the suction grew stronger as he tried to resist it, but seeing that it wasn't possible, he gave in and allowed himself to be sucked inside. With his disappearance the surroundings returned to normal, apart from the savage destruction the energies had wrought on the environment.
Ra stood up inside the new space after being unceremoniously deposited on the other side of the portal. He looked in the direction from which he'd fallen and his worst fear had been realized; The exit was gone. Earlier, he had not been resisting because he was afraid of danger, but because he wished to stabilize the portal before he entered, however, this was no longer an option. He tried to open a spatial gate back to the Academy only to find that his power had been sealed.
"It looks like I'll have to find another way out," he thought as he began studying to his new surroundings. There were no trees, he noticed, only grass that stretched for miles in either direction, with no way to tell north from south, he chose a random direction and started walking.
This of course was far from his intent, he hadn't meant to open a gate, only a portal into his own body. "Magic, it seems is still far too volatile to be used without the proper understanding." he decided, and let out a self-derisive chuckle.
It must have been at least four hours since he began walking, his power being sealed, he acutely felt the oncoming exhaustion. In all this time he had yet to see a tree, animal of any signs of life. "What in the world is this place!" he shouted, and as if in answer a huge Avianse beast with golden flesh cloaked in flames flashed into the sky. It was beautiful and deadly, and radiating a fierce heat and pressure. Ra shielded his eyes to gaze upon this creature so like the embodiment of the risen sun. Ra had no words to explain the voice that had traveled from the creature that seemingly spoke to him through his soul, no...his Anima. "Who are you?" The creature spoke, "You are unlike any man we know of and yet, a creature so unlike the others." Ra felt burning heat bubble under his skin with every word, the creature seemed to notice this as it said, "but so weak, and young. You are not....ready." and brilliant white flames rose from its golden flesh, "Wait!" Ra shouted, the creature flinched, "I know I'm weak!" he yelled, "but even if it kills me, I have to speak to you!" For the first time, the creature opened its eyes, Red, like dried blood, and burning like effervescent magma. Ra felt the heat around him intensify, and he fought to bear it even as his flesh seared and his blood boiled like mad. With great effort he managed to throw off a portion of the burning pressure, the creature seemed pleased with this and slowly closed its eyes. "You may follow me, Human." it spoke slowly as it spread great wings of flames and floated rather than flew ahead, guiding him.
After it had closed its eyes, Ra found that he felt far less heat than before. "This must be its strength..." he thought as he jogged to keep up, "but what is it?" Ra had never seen nor heard of creatures which possessed such pure flames. The fire he felt in its presence was truly alive, as vital to it as his own breath.
As they traveled, Ra began to notice that the surrounding scenery was racing by much faster than it was before, as if the distance significantly shortened with every step. Before long they approached a small home, this made Ra curious, as it couldn't belong to the creature. The place was too small, it seemed to be built for a human and not....whatever it was. But before he could give it more thought the creature began to shift, shrinking as it swallowed its flames, its wings blending seamlessly into a smaller, lithe form. Until, before him stood a slender golden brown skinned woman, much shorter than he was. Dark golden brown hair fell down her back and puddled on the ground. And her eyes were a startling blood red. Ra was convinced he currently looked at a beautiful goddess of death and war emerging from the flames of battle. She stood naked in the shining sun, seeming to glow with radiance, and then she inhaled a breath that was long and powerful as she filled her lungs and Ra was even more captivated by her existence. Ra offered her his jacket as he turned his head away, but she merely snorted and walked inside the house. She seemed to have a clear disdain for clothes. Helpless, Ra questioned her about it, but she only responded with a single word: "Flammable." Ra could only give up. "What are you called, human?"
"I'm Ra," he said calmly, "what should I call you?" the woman thought for a moment before saying, "You may call me Solara, if you wish," Ra nodded, "Solara," he rolled the name over his tongue, "A beautiful name," he praised. Solara shrugged, "If you say so, speak then, why have you come here? what do you want?" Ra was slightly stunned by how quickly she got to the point but he recovered quickly, "I accidentally opened a gate when I was attempting to create a formation that would allow me to shape my Anima," he said. Solara snorted, "You? Human's do not possess Animas they possess souls! if you-" She fell short as Ra used the technique to bare one's soul, he was like an open book in front of her and nothing was hidden, in the place where a pure white soul should exist was instead a brilliant gold scene, like a painting of silver lightning and golden clouds suffused with flames. this was the form his anima had taken. Solara was shocked, and looked particularly mortified. Ra was surprised to see embarrassment on the face of a woman who did not care to even dress herself in his presence. But before he could think on it too much, she too lay bare her Anima for him to view. Amethyst flames roared to life as her skin transformed to a burning scene of purple fire consuming the world. Almost red with shame she abruptly closed her Anima even as amethyst flames continued to dance in Ra's eyes. She had crossed her arms over her breasts, hugging them tightly as she pouted, muttering something under her breath that sounded like "Idiot." Ra decided not to ask, but he felt as if they had just shared something very important.
