YOU'RE FAMILY

Later I went home, I tried to call Veer, but he didn't answer my calls. I was in no mood to talk to anyone, so I slept without having my dinner. Next day morning, also I woke up late, so I left for office without having breakfast. Mom has packed it for me, but I didn't feel to eat. After going to office, I was busy with my own works that I forgot having anything. And then, Raj uncle called me to his cabin, to bring some file. I was going to his cabin, but I was feeling giddy. I somehow managed to walk, but suddenly my head was spinning and my vision got blurry. And I don't know what happened after that.

By the time, I opened my eyes. Nikhil was sitting beside me and I turned to see where I was. I saw Raj uncle, he was concerned for me. And then I saw, Veer standing beside him. I was shocked seeing Veer in our office. Then, I heard Raj uncle saying, "Beta what happened? Why did you faint like that? It was good that Veer has come on time and caught you, or else you would have fall down. Did you not have your breakfast?" I nodded my head as no looking down. Then I heard Veer saying, "Misti this is too much. What is this stupidity? Why did you not take your breakfast? You did even have your dinner yesterday and now you didn't have your breakfast too?"

But I didn't reply to him, I was in no mood to talk to him. First he ignores me and now he's scolding me. I said, "But how did you know that I didn't have my dinner yesterday" He said, "That's not important. Yesterday I called uncle to know about you, he said me that you didn't have your dinner." I replied angrily, "You have time for calling my dad, but you don't have time for calling me." Then Nikhil cut me off saying, "Dhrithi don't stress yourself, you can talk later with Veer, but for now eat something. You're very weak." I turned my head to other side and said, "I don't want to eat anything" Nikhil said, "You fainted and now you're saying you don't want to eat. What's wrong with you? Do you have any freaking idea, how tensed I was seeing you like that?" I said, "Don't worry, I'm fine. I don't want to eat anything now. You guys carry on with your own"

Nikhil said, "Why are you so stubborn?" I said, "I'm like this only, you guys carry on." Then Raj uncle said, "Beta I'll send you juice, have it and eat whenever you feel like. And I'm not going to listen anything now" He sounded serious, he walked out of the room. I looked at Nikhil and said, "Don't worry, I'll have the juice. You carry on." He sighed and left from there but not before looking at Veer. And then even Veer went out.

Now, I was even more angry. He didn't even come to me and he went out just like that. Tears started filling up in my eyes. I was trying very hard to not cry, at least not here. And then I heard the door opening sound. I saw Veer coming inside, he bought something with him. Looks like he bought lunch for me. But I didn't look at him. After 2 minutes he came and sat beside.

He called me, but I turned to the opposite side instead without replying him. He then made me turn towards him, and that's when he noticed my tears.

He said, "Misti why are you crying?" I said, "You don't talk to me. It's all because of you. You left leaving me alone here, now why did you come again?"

He said, "I didn't leave you, I went to bring food for you. Why on earth did you think that I'll go leaving you alone here?" I replied, "I don't know, the way you're behaving with me from last two days makes me to think like that. Tell me why are you ignoring me?"

He said, "No Misti, I'm not ignoring you. Why would I ignore you?" I said, "I don't know why but I know you're ignoring me. And dare you deny that, because evening when I came home, you didn't have any work at hospital. You wanted to ignore me, that's why you left for hospital"

He said, "Yes, I wasn't in a mood to talk to you. So, I left. But that's not important you should eat first. You just sit up, I'll get the plate" and was about to get up to bring the plate from the table. But, I caught his hands and said, "No, This is important for me and I'm not going to eat anything until you tell me the reason why you are avoiding me."

He sat back again and said, "Please Misti, eat something. I promise we'll talk after you eat and I'll answer all your answers" I said, "No Veer, your please is not going to work. You have to tell me first and then only I'm going to eat." And my head started spinning again, so I closed my eyes and caught my head.

After seeing me he said, "See Misti, you're not feeling well. You'll faint again, please eat." I replied, "Like I said, I'm not going to eat until you tell me the reason."

He sighed and said, "On your birthday, when you went out for lunch, I was very angry. So, I left angrily. But later when I gave it a thought, I understood that you're not wrong totally. It was your birthday and you would obviously want to spend time with Nikhil. But the only thing that hurt me was you didn't even thought of informing you. That's why I was hurt and also angry. But since it was your birthday, I didn't want to hurt you. So, I came in the evening. After cake cutting, uncle asked you. I came out looking for you. And then I heard your argument with Nikhil. I didn't mean to eavesdrop, but I heard everything. I understood that it's becoming difficult for you to manage two of us at a time. So, I thought to give you space. You know how much you mean to me, I'd never do anything to hurt you and at the same time I don't want to be the reason behind your miseries. So, I thought even if stay away from you, you'll feel little bad. Again, then Nikhil is also there with you, he'll take care of you. Slowly you'll be okay with time."

I said, "Okay answer my one last question. I'll be okay with Nikhil, then what about you? How will you live without me?"

And he has no answer for that, he stayed silent. I said, "Veer it's not always about me. You don't have to be so sacrificing all the time. If it's getting difficult for me to manage both of you, then it's my problem and I'll deal with it. You don't worry about it. And please don't use your stupid brain. If there's anything that is bothering you, then share it with me. Let's discuss and then find a solution. Yes, there'll be difficult times, but that makes our relation stronger than before. And also remember one thing, Nikhil and you both are important for me. I'll not feel good even if one of you is not there beside me and that'll never change. After staying for a few minutes I said, "Veer I'm hungry" still staying in the hug. He immediately broke the huga and said, "Sorry Misti, I forgot. Just wait a second, I'll get the plate."

He immediately ran to the table and brought the plate and handed me, but I nodded my head as no. He looked at me as if asking what is it now. I said, "Feed me" He sighed and started feeding me. And in middle, I asked him, "Veer why did you come to our office today?" He said, "I don't know why, but I was getting negative vibes. I just wanted to see you, so I came here and then I saw you straying in the air. I ran to you and caught yoy. Then bought you here to the pent house. Nikhil and Papa came in toe" by feeding another bite. I finished eating and then I asked Veer to eat in front of me because I know he might not have not eaten anything properly. Seeing my serious face, he knew that I'm not going to listen anything that he's gonna say. So he bought another plate and ate. Then he gave me a tablet and I slept after that.
