CONFESSION

The whole day, we enjoyed it thoroughly, and by the time we reached home, it was 10 already. I was so tired that I didn't even feel to have dinner. I slept after changing into my pj's. Next day morning I woke up late, even my father didn't wake me, may be because he knew I was very tired. But now comes the main problem, I'm late for office. I called Raj uncle to inform him that I'll be coming late today. I didn't even have my breakfast. I asked mom to pack it for me, so that I can have it on my way to office.

Soon, I reached the office but I was late by 5 minutes for the meeting. So, I didn't interfere them. I waited for them in my cabin. I was doing my work, and then I heard a knock at my door. And then, Nikhil entered my cabin. He said, "Good morning Miss. Saxena. Good to see you after 2 days."

I smiled and replied, "Good morning to you too Mr. Ahuja."

He said, "I guess you're free now, you didn't even reply to any of my messages"

I replied, "I already told you that I'll not be available, then why are you complaining now?"

He said, "Ok, I agree you were busy yesterday. But today, you could have replied me right. And top of that, you didn't even attend the meeting in the morning. What should I make out of it?"

I bit my tongue and then said, "I'm sorry, actually I was tired yesterday. So, I over slept. Even my dad didn't wake me up. So, I came late to office. I even had my breakfast on my way. I'm sorry, next time I'll make sure to reply on time."

He replied, "Ok, it's fine. Meet me during lunch" and left my cabin. After that I went to meet Raj uncle and he asked me to note down a letter while he dictated. Then, it was lunch time. I went to Nikhil's cabin. He brought lunch for me, from his home. I was elated when he said that he bought it specially for me. We had lunch in his cabin. Then the rest of the day, we were busy with our own works. Evening, Nikhil dropped me home. I invited him to come inside, he refused coming in, but when I forced him, without having any other option he came in. Dad wasn't there at home. I introduced mom to Nikhil. Mom was very happy after meeting. She liked him very much, she thought he will be suitable groom for me. She asked everything about their family and everything. I understood what she's trying to do. I then realized that it was a bad idea of bringing Nikhil inside our home. So, to stop her I literally had to drag Nikhil out saying that I've some work with him and then send him off.

And the rest two days went like that. Everything was going smoothly between Nikhil and me. I kind of started liking him. I was working in my cabin, then my manager came in. He said, "Miss. Saxena, from tomorrow you don't need to assist Mr. Singh. His assistant will join from tomorrow. I arranged your cabin with the other Junior Designers. From tomorrow, you can use that cabin and also you don't need to go to Ahujas office, tomorrow with Mr. Singh. You can do your work here itself."

I nodded my head and said, "Ok sir, thank you" and he left my cabin. I felt bad that now I cannot meet Nikhil daily. I can meet him only when he comes to this office. I felt like crying, and I don't know why it affected me so much. I knew that I was going to assist Mr. Singh only for two days. But still, it affected me alot, when he said that Raj uncle's P.A will join from tomorrow.

I was thinking about Nikhil and didn't realize that it was lunch time. Nikhil came in, to take me as we decided that we'll go out for lunch. I didn't tell him anything then, but when we were out of the office, he asked me if I was ok. I told him the same. Even he was very sad that he couldn't meet me daily but what he said next shocked me. He said, "Don't worry, I'll come and meet you, if you cannot come to our office" I was happy that even he wants to meet me daily and even he misses me, if we don't meet.

Then we finished our lunch and headed back to office. After that we used to meet daily. He took me out, I even met some of his friends. I met his close friend, Shrithi Goenka. She is very cute and bubbly. I liked her a lot, we became good friends in short time span. And one month passed like that.

Nikhil invited me to come with him as his date to a party. It was one of his friend's engagement. As driver was not there, I was driving that day. On the way, suddenly out of no where a puppy came infront of my car and to save the puppy I turned it to the left suddenly and the car hit the tree. I got little hurt on my fore head. Luckily, the area was near Veer's hospital. So, I called him and told him about the accident. He came immediately and took me to the hospital.

Nurse was dressing my wounds, that's when my phone rang. I asked Veer to answer it. It was Nikhil I guess. Veer answered the call and put it on speaker.

Hello Dhrithi, where are you?

Hello Nikhil, it's me Veer. Dhrithi got into small accident. I bought her to my hospital, you can come here if you want to meet her.

He cut the call even without replying. I wondered what might have happened to him. Then after 15 minutes, my wounds were dressed. I was sitting there and Veer went to bring medicines. Suddenly Nikhil entered and he saw me and then immediately hugged me tightly. I was shocked when he hugged me suddenly, but then understood that may be he's was tensed.

He caught my face in his hands and asked, "Are you ok? I was very tensed when he said that you got into accident. I was very scared. How are you? Where did you get hurt?" and started checking my arms.

I said, "Don't worry Nikhil. I'm fine, absolutely fine. You don't need to get worried."

He then said, "It's all my fault, I should have come to pick you. Had I come then all this wouldn't happened. You wouldn't get hurt. I'm sorry. I'm really sorry."

I replied, "Nikhil why are you blaming yourself? It's not your fault. Can you gurantee that accident wouldn't happen, if you drove the car instead of me. Don't be hard on your self. I'm perfectly fine."

He said, "You don't know how scared I was. Just a mere thought of loosing scared the hell out of me. I was blanked out when Veer said that you got into accident. Then I realized how important you're to me. I realized that I cannot live without you. I love you Dhrithi. I really love you."

I stood numb when he said that he loves me. I didn't how to react. Seeing me standing still, he said, "It's ok, if you don't love me. I understand, I'll not force you" and before he could say anything I placed my lips on his.

He was shocked would be an understatement. When he stood still, I said, "Kiss me Ahuja" that's when he realized and started kissing me. After 2 minutes, I broke the kiss and said, "It took you so long to realize that you love me Ahuja. You're so dumb. I was waiting for this day. I love you too Nikhil. I love you" and again kissed him. This time it was slow yet passionate. We broke the kiss, when we heard the sound of door opening and stood away from each other.

Veer entered, seeing my flushed face, he said if there's something he should know. Then I told him what has happened. I told him that Nikhil proposed me and I accepted. All this while Nikhil was looking away. Then we heard Veer saying, "You both took so long to realize that you love each other. I told you Misti, on the very first day. See what I told you has become true." I just nodded my head. He hugged both of tightly and then said, "I'm so happy for you both. Stay happy together. I'm really happy for you both." After breaking the hug, Veer turned towards Nikhil and said, "From today, My Misti's responsibility is yours. If you ever hurt her, then that will be your last day on the earth" And Nikhil nodded his head smiling at Veer.
