142 Magic is Dangerous

Not long after, a crisp and loud scream suddenly resonated from inside the mansion, "KYAAAAAAA!"

"W-What? What happened?" Baiyi immediately dropped his work and ran towards the source of the scream. It came from the kitchen. The instance he pushed the door open, he was greeted by the sight of crushed ice that was scattered all over the floor. Mia and Attie's bodies were both covered in ice shards as well, and like two kittens that had fallen into cold water, the two of them were shivering in cold looking at him pitifully with big kitty eyes.

Quickly, Baiyi took out two blankets from his pouch and covered the two of them. Clutching the corner of one of the blankets, he wiped the water off Mia's face and asked, "What's going on?"

"Huuu..." Mia sobbed like a small animal and obediently told him the idea that came to her mind earlier.
