Will You Kiss Me?
She stared blankly on the screen of her phone after hitting that blue imessage button. What on Earth was she thinking, she scolded herself.
She wasn't worried at all that they will be alone in their home because she knows how much of a gentleman Derick is. What she's worried about is that she has to come downstairs and manually open their gate. She can't risk using the remote control to automatically open the gate for when Derick arrives because that would mean her dad would get a notification on his iPhone that she opened the gate. Her dad would think that Eve would sneak out again. Well, she is not worried that her parents would find out about this. But she can't let this opportunity to talk to her dream guy to just let pass by. Maybe, she could never get another chance.
Yes, her parents trust her enough. Quite frankly, they give her too much freedom. But since that epic incident where in her junior, she sneaked out their bmw and met with her supposedly great friends. Their plan was to meet at Opús and party to celebrate the end of their finals. Only to find out that her friends arranged for her to be hooked up with Andy Choo. He is one of their classmates who was head over heels to Eve, so blatantly.
She didn't mind the affection because she is just too strong to be persuaded to agree on going on a date with him. This time, Andy managed to persuade one of her friends to make her go to the party. What they didn't know was Andy has put something in her second drink. While going to the bathroom, she collapsed with bubbles of saliva flowing on the floor.
Her friends were too drunk to move. Andy was frozen in his stance. He was so afraid that someone might discover what he did. So he slipped among the crowd and left Eve on the floor.
People didn't mind the body on the floor because they know her friends are not worried at all, or so they all thought.
It was until few seconds later that a waiter and a random stranger checked her pulse. It was too fast for everyone who's drunk to notice that they took Eve and brought her at the nearest hospital. It turned out that she was drugged. They didn't know who to blame it for but definitely made her parents so furious. They decided to put on automatic doors and an automated gate. It was Eve who requested to her parents to not make it public and never do an investigation. She was too ashamed to have let this happen to her, and so she just decided to be silent about it. She hasn't talked with her friends ever since and they didn't have the courage to speak with her even. She always say that she's on house arrest whenever her parents are out of town. Anyway she didn't mind. She was more than thankful that that happened, or worse, she would loose her virginity to someone she can't even imagine kissing.
Just after 20minutes, she heard a sports car stop into a halt. Typical of Derick. He uses a two-door Mazda 2018, which he got from his parents on his 20th birthday. He would always drive like that, and stop like that. Many people are scared to even look at his driving skill.
She put on her jacket as she left her room. There is no way that they will end up in her room.
"Why am I thinking like that?!" She exclaimed at the stairs. At the back of her head, she wants this to happen. She has imagined so much.
Bolting through the gate, no one would hear a slightest sound as she opened the gate. She really loves the mechanism of this door. She can't tolerate a slight sound of metal clanging.
And Derick was standing there. He was wearing his typical leather jacket. It was open so she could see him wearing a white shirt underneath. He looked so fine wearing that navy blue pants with his black Adidas Campus. It's almost 3 in the morning yet he doesn't look so sleepy at all.
"May I come in? It's freezing in here."
How long was she staring at Derick?
She opened the gate wide open for him to come and let him and then bolted the door after. As they walked through their mini garden, she could see him looking at their Christmas decors. It's her mom's decorations at the patio. But they didn't say a word there.
She left the maindoor open earlier so they headed straight at the sofa. But Derick just stood there. She can't tolerate the silence and she remembered to close the door.
It was just a few steps away so she got back immediately. She could hear her heartbeat so loud. Why am I having this kind of tachycardia?
"Merry Christmas Derick. What's up?", she asked directly in his eyes. Oh God, his eyes are so expressive.
"Eve, I don't want this year to end without letting you know the things that I am about to tell you. You can't possibly imagine how I managed to get the courage that I have now to even look at you."
She was excited to hear more of Derick's statements, but her heart is beating so fast and so loud, she can barely hear Derick's voice. All she could hear is her heart beating mercilessly. She tried to relaxed as long as she could and just stared back at Derick.
"I am so sorry, I don't have flowers or chocolates or any gift in particular. All I know is that I was too excited to come here when I got your reply after four hours. But..."
Eve felt tingling sensations on her feet. She needs to sit, she thought. As she stepped back to sit at the sofa, Derick walked in front of her which caught her off guard.
"What are you doing?" she asked. She was scolding herself because her voice betrayed her. The strength left her as she smelled Derick's perfume. Is it Dolce's Happy? But before she say anything, Derick spoke once again which left her in shock.
"Eve, will you kiss me?"
