How we met

As usual I'm sitting in the same spot I do in the same cafe I always go to everyday. I'm writing an essay this time. As usual there are cars passing the window and the same lady running with her dog.

Once you go to the same place all the time you end up memorizing all sorts or people who come on certain days.

Like this one man who comes every Monday. Then there's the man who always comes after his yoga classes.

But of course everyday there is someone new in the cafe. Like today‚ there is a boy from my school. As he comes in he sees me and waves and smiles at me.I'm confused but wave back awkwardly.

I go back to writing my essay. I can't help but take quick glances at him. Once he finishes taking his order I notice him walking toward me.

"Hey Noah! "‚ he says as he walks closer to where I'm sitting. As I finish typing my last sentence in my essay I say "‚ H-Hello Jake".

This is how it started when I realized I actually was falling for him.
