Dating has never been as enjoyable as it was to Steph. It feels good to have a boyfriend who cares and takes care of you.

The next few weeks has been amazing working in George's company. Though they have known it each other over a year and few months the feeling George has towards her has always been pure and true. She has given her all to the relationship.

They say good things don't last long and that's what caught up to them. One day while on a date with George, a pretty woman walks up to them and looks surprised to see them.

" hey George"

The look on Georges face could earn you a million if you sold to the public. He was surprised and kind of shocked.

"Hey Sharon"

" How are you? I wasn't sure if it was you or not. It has been like forever since I last saw you. Have just moved back into the country recently and was thinking of coming over to see you and your parents one of these days."

"Well it has been long. Anyway meet my girlfriend. Steph meet my…aaah.. Friend Sharon Omoke."

From the looks the lady gave Steph shows she is not a mere friend there is more than meets the eyes. She couldn't ask more from George until they were alone.

" Hi nice to me you." Said Steph smiling

" Ooh nice to meet you" said Sharon

"May I join you if you don't mind" Asked Sharon while sitting directly down without waiting for a reply.

"No problem you can join.." Steph said while gritting her teeth

George was surprised that she said yes and also he seemed not to like her being with them. While having dinner Steph excused herself to go to the bathroom and left them on their own. She felt uncomfortable having the lady with them. There is this gaze she kept throwing at her that was unpleasant and chilling.

After exiting the bathroom she could see that Sharon and George having a heated conversation and something seemed off from his eyes. He seemed angry and confused. Whatever happened between them is not what she saw from her point of view. The moment she neared the table they kept quiet.

"Sorry for that I couldn't hold it. Babe can we go home there is that thing I told you we need to take care of it before tomorrow's meeting"

"Oooh sure." Though the response from George was short and unsure, She could feel a sigh of being relived. It's like there was tension in the table that she didn't even notice.

They bid Sharon bye and left immediately. What surprised her was the fact that Sharon remained seated there even after they stepped out to go. If there is something she realized from the short interaction with the lady is she is a fierce one.

On the car back to her apartment she could see George's brow twitching and sighing. She couldn't wait to ask who she was and why he seemed pissed.

"Am sure you want to know who she is and what she has got to do with and my parents. She heard George while looking outside.

"mmmh' Steph responded

"She was my fiancée a few years back. She left me for a much richer guy. At that time I was not a governor's son and was not serious with life. She said I was not in her league anymore and she has found someone she loves. I was heartbroken that I could not hear her name. It took time to come to terms with it and I did. I sorted out my feelings before I met you. I want to be honest with you in everything. This is what I promised you in our relationship"

"When you went to the bathroom back in the restaurant she said something that bothered me and was uncomfortable with it. She said she loved me and she has realized her mistakes. She wishes for us to be back together. I told her no and she said she will not give up on me."

"You don't have to worry babe, I love you and nothing can come against us." Said George trying to explain everything possible and also to reassure her of his love for her.

"I know you love me babe, and am not worried about it. I know we will beat this together."

It has been 2 months since Steph got her own apartment and more than 8 months since she moved out of her home. Her father has not come looking for her all this time, and she has started getting used to it. She talks to her sister every day and gets updates on what's going on with her family.

She had enough time to think over her life, and it was the best decision she had made. Sometimes it's hard on her own but thinking of her future it's more of a push.

She was immersed in her work in the office that she did not hear someone walking to her. She only came back to her senses when she saw someone shaking a hand in front of her. She looked up and saw Sharon looking down at her.

"Hi. Am sorry to disturb you. Just thought I could invite over for lunch and get to know each other," Sharon said

"It's okay. I was a bit busy, but it's something I can finish up later." Replied Steph. She wanted to know what the lady was up. It's not like they were friends or something. She must be up to something. Packing her stuff, Steph made her way out of the building with Sharon. If you saw them for the first time, you will think they were friends. The way they talked and laughed was like they had known each other for a long time.

Right across the GK enterprise building, a newly opened restaurant has created a name for itself as the best for fresh vegetable food with amazing delicacies in town. If you miss or want the best African dishes, the restaurant is the best. There is no food you will miss there. Sharon has been abroad for so long that she insisted on having the home dish in the restaurant, and there is nothing Steph could have done about it. Midway through the meal, Sharon stopped and looked at Steph seriously.

"I intend to get George back in my life, and it would be good if you back off. I don't you to get hurt. I find you to be a good person. That's why I am asking nicely," Sharon stated

For a moment there, Steph was stunned, and she just stared at Sharon blankly. She could not believe someone told her to back off from her relationship.

"Mmmmh I don't know what you intend to do, but there is no way I am leaving my boyfriend for you. If it's war, you want to bring it on. I am not a pushover," Steph said agitatedly. She stopped eating, leaving Sharon seated dumbfounded. It was not the effect she thought she had on her opponent.

"Let's see for how long you are going to hold it in. I will take my man back." Murmured Sharon holding her fork tightly

From the restaurant back to her office Steph was so irritated to the point of smashing things in the office.

"Hey, I didn't know you could throw so hard. Want to go and throw balls at the stadium?" Steph heard from behind her only to see George standing on the door, leaning on the door frame.

She turned around and hugged him tightly. "I think that is a good idea. I need to vent my anger on something."

Let's go then. Today is your day off. I'll tell Kibe while on our way."
