Found black money

"Here take this." She throws out the clothes to him from inside the cabin. 

"By the way Serene..." Harry hesitantly voice out

"Yes?"

"What were you doing in that store?"

She paused for a second but did replied ".... I wanted to buy some books" 

"How much does it cost?" He asked immediately before she takes the step back and hide things again 

In orphanages rarely anyone is interested in high level studies. After completing their compulsory part of study they never try to do more except him and her. One has already done his middle school year ago whereas one has to give her final exam. They already completed high school studies by themselves. Now what they try to do all time is to find new knowledge for a career.

"That's what I was trying to find there but that rude lady didn't let me touch it even after that" Serene replied with a forced anger to show him her discontent to change the topic. 

She can't take his help for finance. Henry is his cousin. The amount Harry earned, half of it goes for his cousin's study and the rest is for his book. If he helped her it would be wrong.

"They must be costly that's why" He soothes her imaginary anger which he already knows about. "We will buy it tomorrow" He is not going to give up either.

"Hmm and I saved 500 bucks for it don't worry." She kind of guesses where it's going.

"You know that's not enough" The book looked expensive even if it was paperback.

"I know but I will manage" She tried to end the conversation.

"Don't worry I saved 800 bucks too. We will buy it tomorrow." 

"No! Bro you saved it for your own books too. It's my fault that I spend those 200 bucks on food" She denied immediately.

"That's not a fault. You were not given food for whole two days

because of the punishment that you didn't even do..... Didn't let me or Henry come to you either." He said solemnly.

She sighed "You know we can't help that part of my story. Warden hates me and always will. He does try to get back to me with useless excuses." She already gave up till she got out of that place.

This thought made him angry more. He badly wanted to beat the shit out of him but can't. This inability to save his friend makes him more angry.

"Don't worry when I will start working, this brother of yours will take you away with Henry out of this hell."

"Don't worry bro this orphanage gave us shelter and food at the least. These abuses I can handle, as long as they won't come with physical abuse again." She said while wearing his clothes.

"They won't dare. Otherwise I won't mind complaining again and this time with proofs." Harry murmured to himself.

"Are you done?" She came in front of him with black pants and white shirt which looked a little too loose for her. But still she managed to carry out.

When he looked up he couldn't help but stared at her little more. 

Even though all girls in orphanages do look like a beggar, only she is the one who makes everyone think if she is one of them or not.

Many girls mainly try to bully her because of this sole reason too. 

Right now her freshen up face with small water droplets going down from her wet hair to face make her look like a little mermaid. 

She never looked less than any of the girls he ever saw yet. Even those elite girls took envy of her beauty one time. She has a delicate pretty face and now after freshening up she looks alluring too. Her features were clean and pleasant to the eyes.

But she never cared about this beauty. That makes him want to protect her more. She is his fairy whom he will protect with his life just like she did.

"Yes, let's go." He replied while patting her head.

"Hmm"

"Okay you can jump now" Harry whispered from the other side of the wall to Serene.

"Okay" Within a few seconds she was in front of him.

"You are really fast" Harry complimented her. In their Martial arts school no one can beat Serene till now. 

Even their seniors couldn't reach up to her standard. She was told by Sensai that the grabbing power for knowledge of her is extraordinary. 

She was recognised by their Sensei as his best students just in 3 years of teaching. 

But to her bad luck she was never able to join any tournament and she never dreamt of it either.

In an oblivious way she replied "Yeah I know" She never cared about how good she is as long as she can learn something new in her life to the best of it.

They just decided to go out of the alley when they heard someone running towards their direction which came along with the voice of firing.

"Hide" Harry hurriedly took her behind the vines of a tree which were able to hide them properly and also able to look outside.

'Shit' Serene exclaimed in her heart. 

It's already 8 o'clock. If this thing took a long time to sort then they won't be able to reach the orphanage on time for dinner. And those hungry wolves won't let Henry save food for them either.

The man just stay hidden in alley for 5 minutes before making a call "Hey man I am right back side of the school, I am coming in front, prepare the car fast. The bribe money i stole isn't discovered yet, we have time to run off."

He stayed for more than 5 minutes before leaving swiftly.

"Thank goodness let's go." Harry helped her get out of those vines.

"Wait" Serene stopped him from taking her away and bent down to the place where the thief was hiding earlier.

"What happened?" Harry asked her hastily.

"Look at this"  Serene pointed her finger towards the the stack of money

"What the...." Harry was shocked to the core. He never saw this much amount of cash ever before in his life. Harry and Henry both belonged to the normal middle class family. When Harry was 9 year old and Henry was 1 year old their family died due to a house fire. 

"How much do you think it is?" Serene asked expectedly.

Harry frowned by her happy tone "I don't know. Just throw it away."

"What? Why?" She raised her eyebrow in surprise. She didn't expect he would say this. They are in dire need of money and he wants to throw it away?  

"This is not ours" He replied to her in a clear cut manner.

She sighed in disappointment "I know but we can't find the owner too"

"That's why I didn't ask you to go to the police but throwing it away"

"But why would you want to throw money in the first place even"

"Serene!!"
