He looks out from within his consciousness his surroundings are so bright but a few seconds later the lights dim down and he finds a forest with many large trees and some wild boars, birds chirping and he looks upon himself to realize he was a tree the whole time. He keeps getting bombarded with some "announcement" like thing.

I was a 57 year old tree but how do I know that? I don't remember anything about living 57 years. But I somehow instinctively know, well looking at the tree or should I say me. I think its pretty small for a tree that's supposed to be 50. I'm like 30 or maybe 40 at most? well I'm no tree expert so lets see how I look. I kind of look like a cross between a pine tree, an apple tree and a mango tree I thinks its odd but considering this is another world (probably) normal in this world until I looked around and maxed the reach of my <<Sense Surrounding>> and the other trees looked peculiar and he is pretty sure those don't exist on earth and then realizes the shocking truth that compared to the surrounding trees I-

"I Look so shady and out of place." Alex said at a lost for words

It's like an adult wearing full black going around handing kindergarteners candies. So yeah I look hell'a suspicious.

But before he can continue his ranting he realized this is AN ISEKAI WORLD! and so the confused and complaining Alex suddenly lit up.

"Wait"

"This can't be. So I'm going to start an adventure, a journey, Action packed battles to the death and epic moments and skills. If I can get all the op skills I will be invincible."

Alex is now dreaming of a future life of him joining the ranks of op protagonist and unlike them he doesn't want any harem sht.

"So this is" Alex stopped mid sentence as he saw adventurer-like people hunting down humanoid monsters.

When he tried to join in on the hunting he realized.

"I can only move my branchiest very slowly so how the hell can I hunt" After this shocking and heart breaking realization he was at a lost on what to do.

4 days later...

"Mwahaha-haha-ha" Alex's let out a sinister laugh as a bird tried to escape from inside the tree.

After trying out things and searching for ways to move he had come down to a conclusion that he needs to get stronger evolve and rank up. He's roots have dug into the ground gradually absorbing mana and nutrients from the ground but this would take way too long taking up to years just to rank up, so he searched for other methods and then he discovered the effects of <<Nourishment>>

With that he can "defeat" the target without killing it then absorbing it while its still alive, that way he can get the most from all his kills (he likes to refer to successful hunts as "kills").

Then he came up with an idea of making "bird nest" and "squirrels holes" in the tree using his <<Tree Editing skill>> he even added bigger ones so that he can use the fallen birds as bait against the opportunistic boars.

Can subtly change the texture, color, leaf count, leaf patterns, branch sizes and length, and make shapes.

He makes holes that are perfectly sized for birds and squirrels so that they might wander and go in. Then, he would slowly seal the entrance big enough for air to slow in but small enough so the bird won't escape, this plan has a lot of flaws so far 3 birds and a squirrel already escaped due to them noticing the shrinking entrance. After numerous restructuring he finally cough one, a bird.

"Hahaha in my conquest for strength I have captured a small win"

"It's your fault for coming into a already suspicious looking tree" Alex said recovering quickly from the fact he can understand the bird (just a little).

After, the initial begging of the bird it lay down and lost all hope. Alex seeing this didn't have the heart to continue with the "Defeating" so he decided since it was the first thing he captured and the first being to talk to in this life. The bird cancelled out the feeling of loneliness that was building up within him so he though he should let it go.

"Chirp? Tweet? tweet?" the bird confused about the fact that the shrunken opening opened once more.

"I'm letting you go I'm only doing this once so get out before I change my mind" After saying this he steeled his resolve to kill the next creature he captures.

But seeing his act of kindness, the bird decided to stay with him and return the kindness given to it even though he was the one who endangered him the bird snickered. He might have some sort of charisma that attracts people(birds) the bird though

After seeing the bird having no intentions of leaving. He decided that having a pet or a friend might not be so bad and then Alex felt happy because he has now someone to talk to.
