Why A Dimensional Chat Group?

In contemporary Japan, Yuu Tachibana lives a seemingly ordinary life with his beloved family. However, Yuu harbors a secret: he has lived a past life in another world, making his current life his second. Having no one to call family in his previous life, Yuu cherishes his family all the more. One fateful night, Yuu discovers an unidentified phone in his room. The message displayed on its screen is cryptic and foreboding: [Do you want to save your family from their terrible fate?] With a sense of dread, Yuu is faced with a choice: [Yes] or [No]. Yuu must decide if he is willing to risk everything to protect his loved ones. Will he choose to save them, or let fate run its course? -------- So, before you jump into the fic, let me address the frustration of some readers, This fic is slow. The Dimensional Chat Group, is not given to the MC in the first or fifth chapter. No, no! Not even in 8 chapter, It decides to make a fashionable entrance in chapter 11. And we don't even get to fully explore it until chapter 15. Isn't that just great? The delay in the chat group's appearance seems to be a point of confusion for many readers. While the chat group is indeed a central aspect of the story, it's important to understand why the MC would use this unknown and potentially dangerous power. If the MC is reckless or unintelligent, the chat group's usage might begin in the first chapter. However, if the MC is depicted as a self-proclaimed genius or cautious individual, the story will reach the point of the chat group's involvement by chapter 3 at the latest, followed by a mission. In the initial 8 to 9 chapters, we get a glimpse into the MC's ordinary existence. He leads a regular life, surrounded by his loving family. He attends school, where he has a small circle of friends. Financially speaking, his family doesn't face any difficulties or hardships. And he is content with this simple, everyday life. Now, you might be wondering, why on earth would a person like our MC take a risk with the Chat Group? Hear me out. He's not some thrill-seeker, or a martial arts enthusiast looking for stronger opponents, nor is he a genius bored out of his mind. He's content with his life, and he doesn't crave anything more. So, why would he put his neck on the line? That's precisely why it takes so long for the Chat Group to enter the picture. The initial chapters focus on showcasing his everyday life with family and friends. It's all about giving you a glimpse into why he wouldn't initially desire the chat group. But, of course, he eventually takes the plunge because he discovers a reason that speaks to him. Now, I know some of you may say, "Hey, couldn't you have summed it up in a single chapter?" Well, sure, I could have, but I didn't want to. Summarizing the MC's relationships and motivations would have resulted in a shallow excuse that you—yes, you—would probably complain about later. Plus, there's more to this story than just his daily life. But enough about that. Let's get one thing straight: this fic is slow. If you're expecting a quick summary with occasional fights and snappy dialogue, do yourself and me a favor by clicking off this fic. You'll find what you're looking for in less than 10 seconds, guaranteed. So, if you're still here after this warning, I don't want to hear any complaints about the story's pace. You've been duly informed. And hey, as you read, try paying a little more attention to uncover the hidden meanings within the dialogues and monologues. Also, I am not saying that I have done a fantastic job on the writing, No that’s not the point of this. The point is that you the reader don’t waste your time reading something you don’t like. And I don’t get 1-star reviews for a reason as petty as ‘The Chat group took too long to appear’ That's all for now. Yuu Is A Good Kid

Yuu remembered that Kyouka had done something similar when he finished death note, and it wasn't at the release of the last chapter but when he completed the last chapter which was two weeks before the official end.

"But even if you are doing well and preparing for a new project, you should focus on your health, make sure you are getting enough sleep, and don't overwork yourself," Kyouka was worried about Yuu a lot since she heard about how bad the situation for some Mangaka was.

She had seen many Mangakas talk about not having enough time to sleep and eat because of their work, how hard it actually is for them to work with the editors and manga companies dancing on their heads every second. Some of the mangakas even get ripped off by their own companies as they get very less amount of money for their hard work.

"I'll keep it in mind Mom," Yuu nodded as he had always kept it in his mind so that he doesn't worry his family.

"I won't bore you too much with my worriedness, Congratulations, I am very proud of you Yuu," Kyouka smiled softly and patted Yuu's head.

"Congratulations," Shizuka, Yuuka, and Koharu also joined in.

"Thank you," Yuu smiled, he was very thankful to them.

"Hey Oba-chan it isn't really a celebration there aren't any drinks," Shizuka sprung up ready to bring some shochu kept in the kitchen cupboard. Yuuka seemed to perk up as well.

"Ara, My memory must be failing me, but I don't remember allowing drinking during weekdays," Kyouka looked at Shizuka with a smile that didn't reach her eyes.

"I-I'll sit down ok, Geez, You boss me around just because I am young, I am an adult too," Shizuka pouted since she knew she can't get any drinks like she planned to.

"Sigh* you have work tomorrow and you don't have any restrain when you drink, you'll end up too drunk to even go to school tommorow," Kyouka explained her reason as to why she limited the drinks to only Saturday since they don't need to worry about the next day.

"Ok, Ok Stop," Shizuka blushed in embarrassment since Kyouka had seen her drink and knew her habits.

'Seems like Mom forgot about me,' Koharu sighed in relief.

"Also Koharu no dessert for you," Kyouka said devastating Koharu.

"NOOOOOOOOOO,"

'She doesn't forget,' Yuu shook his head as they continued to eat while Koharu tried to get her dessert back with teary eyes.

10 Minutes later, Yuu had gone up to his room after eating his fill leaving behind Kyouka, Shizuka, Yuuka, and Koharu who were now sitting in the living room having dessert.

"Mmmmm~," Koharu seemed to be on cloud 9 eating the tiramisu.

"That kid seriously," Kyouka sighed looking at Koharu.

"That is very much like Yuu," Shizuka was also in a good mood eating her own dessert.

'I guess it is alright,' Kyouka just shook her head since Yuu said it was fine since it wasn't Koharu's dessert but his share. She just let it go as he went that far.

"Oba-chan you seem to be in a good mood," Shizuka looked at the smile on Kyouka's face.

"I am not letting you drink tonight," Kyouka looked Shizuka dead in the eyes.

"I-I was just curious, it is not like I was trying something," Shizuka looked away with sweat on her brow.

"It will soon be 8 years since Yuu joined our family," Kyouka closed her eyes smiling.

"Yes, it feels like just yesterday when he was a crybaby," Yuuka chimed in.

"A crybaby? Yuu?" Shizuka can't think how Yuu can be a crybaby, but then again everyone changes as they grow up and Yuu's case demanded him to mature faster.

"Here look at this," Yuuka quickly browsed through her phone and showed Shizuka some of the photos of Yuu as a 4-year-old.

"Why do you have so many of his childhood photos?" Shizuka asked Yuuka with a smile.

"It is just convenient teasing material," Yuuka said with a smirk but Shizuka could see the small blush on Yuuka's face.

"Oh, I remember this photo," Kyouka looked at the photo on the phone. In the photo, Yuu was crying since Yuuka took his Gundam. Shizuka seemed interested since she smelled some interesting gossip.

"Yuuka got jealous that Yuu was playing with his new Gundam without coming to our house and play house with her, so she took it away, she panicked so much seeing him ball his eyes out and cried herself after," Kyouka giggled remembering the scene in her head.

"N-Nothing of that sort happened, anyway I am going to sleep," Yuuka blushed and ran away to her room in a zoom.

'Definitely using it to tease Yuu and Yuuka,' Shizuka smiled since she got some gold in her hands.

"Time really does fly," Kyouka shook her head, she felt like it was just yesterday when she took in Yuu after his grandpa passed away from a heart attack, Yuu was 9 at the time.

Both Kyouka and Yuu used to be neighbors both of them were happy families.

But Yuu's parents passed away in a car accident when he was 3 years old leaving him with his Grandpa with no other close relatives, the same year Kyouka's husband passed away leaving her with her two daughters.

Yuu was a cheerful but shy kid even after suffering the loss of his parents but he really changed after his grandpa died.

'Maybe it was because he understood more about it by that age,' Kyouka took in Yuu in her own family rather than letting him go to an orphanage and raised him alongside her daughters. She also remembers how the kid was living by himself alone for a few days after his grandfather's funeral.

She and the kids were out of town when the incident happened but she rushed back as soon as the news reached her.

She did worry about him at the start since after his Grandpa's death Yuu barely spoke or smiled like he used to. But he got better over time he stayed with them and for that Kyouka was very thankful.

"You aren't going to ask about how he is doing at school?" Shizuka asked.

"I am sure Yuu is behaving well," Kyouka smiled and Shizuka also nodded.

"Though he is friends with two troublesome kids, he is doing good," Shizuka was also happy that Yuu was doing well in school.

Kyouka seemed satisfied by hearing Yuu had made friends at school.

"Want some sake?" Shizuka asked as Kyouka shook her head.

"I guess a little won't hurt," Kyouka sighed as she saw Shizuka run into the kitchen with a happy smile.

"Mom, Can I have one more?" Koharu wanted to try her luck as well.

"Go to sleep," Kyouka wondered if she was getting a bit too lenient recently.

Koharu just went back to her room with sagged shoulders, at least she gave it a shot.

Upstairs in Yuu's room, he was sitting in front of his desk looking at the four stacks of paper in front of him.

Each paper on the top of the stack had a few words written on them. From right to left, Record of Ragnarok, Demon Slayer, the Disastrous Life of Saiki K, and Bleach.

'Which one should I start?' Yuu wondered looking at the pages. He was trying to choose which one to pick as the next work, this is every writer/mangaka's dream.

'I have so many ideas I don't know which one to pick,' Yuu wondered.

But it was a luxury only available to Yuu since didn't even need to worry about whether the manga would be popular or not, since there was no question they would.

"There are so many works that are not in this world," Yu muttered looking out of his desk.

As you could guess, Yuu wasn't a person from this world but someone who had experienced a previous life in another world where all of the titles in front of him were big hits.

But in this world, they weren't even made just like Death note and Attack on titan that he copied. He chose Mangaka as a job because it was convenient for him.

Imagine a kid suddenly turning and saying he knows stocks, then the said kid proceeds to make a crazy amount of money. Yeah, good luck explaining that to your family who knows how capable you are.

'I would be more doomed since the me before wasn't good at studies, like really not good,' Yuu sighed as when he became a Mangaka he didn't need to explain how he was able to make these as it is a creative job.

For this Yuu read a few Mangas that belonged to Yuuka and went, I want to be a Mangaka.

'I do remember Mom being worried,' Kyouka was happy since he finally showed interest in something after nearly a year. She was always worried since he barely took interest in anything, which made it easier for him.

Kyouka bought him supplies in jest thinking he would give up eventually, and the rest is history.
