What Is It?
'Looks like she made up her mind,' He looked at Kanae without saying anything as a signal for her to speak about what she wanted to.
"I am really Sorry Tachibana-sama," Kanae looked at the floor and apologized. She had been meaning to say this for a while, even more so from the day of the Pillar Meeting.
"For telling the Corps about the things we talked about?" Yuu knew why this was happening. So he didn't try to go around it or make Kanae say it.
"Yes, I know it isn't excusable but I am really sorry," Kanae apologized again, She knew it was inevitable that she would have to do this, but she still did it without talking to him about it.
At the time when she was writing the report, there was only one thing going through her mind.
"But didn't you do it to help me?" Yuu said and Kanae nodded slowly, she had indeed done it to make Yuu's case stronger, but she also included the training method and his family information as well, which is why she felt so bad about it.
At the time of writing the second report, Kanae heard about how Yuu was called a spy who was after the corps training method and things like that.
Kanae saw how Yuu even selflessly gave his own corps training method to Shinobu without hoping for any compensation, and seeing him work in the hospital taking care of patients without a word of complaint.
Then there were people who were around the butterfly estate to keep an eye on Yuu, all of this made Kanae dissatisfied since Yuu saved her life.
So, at that moment Kanae almost getting angry wrote the second report which contained all of the things Yuu had talked about with her.
She wanted others to know that Yuu was a compassionate person who cared about others.
And then Kanae regretted doing it since she didn't ask Yuu before doing it. It was personal information, Yuu might've been alright with the training method being known by her and Shinobu.
But there was a chance that he would be angry at it being in the hand of the Demon Slayer Corps who are suspicious of him. Training methods are like a core part of an organization like theirs, So she thought it wasn't nice of her to let the Demon Slayer Corps know about it.
Knowing what Yuu was thinking was very difficult, save for a few moments. That is why Kanae has been feeling guilty even if she doesn't know if Yuu is angry with her or not.
Kanae actually has been waiting for some words to be thrown her way from the time the Pillar meeting started, But…
'Tachibana-sama hasn't said anything,' Yuu has shown no signs of talking about this which made Kanae even more uncomfortable. She thought she might've lost his trust seeing that he wasn't talking about it, Yuu seemed that kind of person as well.
So, today she decided to bring it up herself, and it really looked like Yuu hadn't thought about it the way Kanae had, instead…
"If anything I am quite thankful to you Kocho-san," Kanae looked up in surprise upon hearing those words.
"Thankful?" Kanae had a dumbfounded look on her face as she looked at Yuu.
"Yes, The only reason I was able to attend the Pillar meeting was thanks to you," Yuu spoke as his face was still the same, but Kanae could feel that he was being genuine about it.
"That is the least I could do for Tachibana-sama, Anyone would do the same," Kanae didn't feel like she had done something special in helping Yuu get in contact with the Corps.
Before while talking to Yuu, she could feel that he had the desire to fight against the demons now that he saw them here, Which is why she wanted him to do it while being connected to the corps since that would be helpful for him in many ways since he isn't from here.
"No it isn't something anyone would do," Yuu shook his head and even if Kanae wanted to deny it, she couldn't, it was the truth after all. Depending on who from the Corps Yuu met, his treatment would've varied greatly.
"Also," Kanae looked at Yuu as he continued "I am sure the person who made the training method won't mind it being used this way."
Kanae's eyes widened at hearing that, What was the reason for a Demon Slaying Corps to develop a training method?
It was obviously for combating demons, so the person who made the training method for Yuu's corps wouldn't be mad that method was leaked, Rather he'd be happy that….
'It is being used for the reason it was created for,' Kanae thought as the last thought lingered in her mind.
"But even so, I shouldn't have talked about Tachibana-sama's family,"
"I don't really mind about people knowing that I have a family," Yuu said as Kanae looked at his face from the side.
Yuu was a person that was hard to read, it would be troublesome to figure out what he was thinking when he said something.
But even for him, there was a time when he could be easily understood. The thing is Yuu…
'…really loves his family,' Kanae thought while looking at Yuu, she could feel this every time he talked about his family. And it was the only time he showed any emotion.
"So Kocho-san, there is no need to think too deeply about it, I wouldn't have been able to do things like this if it wasn't for you," Yuu turned to look at Kanae and continued "That's why, I am really thankful to you."
"…It was …nothing," Kanae could see that Yuu was really thankful.
"Then, Tachibana-sama I'll let you rest for the night," Kanae said as she stood up and walked to the door.
She stopped outside the door and looked at Yuu who was standing at the door now.
"Did you want to say something else, Kocho-san?" Yuu asked since there was a chance it might be some news from the corps, though he doubted that, but there was still a chance.
"Um …Ah! Yes, It is just that the Kasugai crow will arrive here three days later, and the Nichirin katana will be ready in 7 days," Kanae said and Yuu nodded.
"Thank you for letting me know, then I'll go to sleep,"
"Ah, Yes," Kanae answered as Yuu closed the door leaving her alone in the quiet and dimly lit hallway.
Kanae turned and started walking towards her own room, entering inside she fell face-first onto her futon and…
"I wasn't able to tell Tachibana-sama about it in the end," Kanae whispered softly in disappointment but.
'I am thankful to you,' Kanae still heard those words of thanks in her ears even now. Then she fell asleep with a smile.
The next morning,
Shinobu was making her way to the dining room, it was already time for their breakfast, it was said like this since Kanae, Yuu and she had their meal way before others.
And…
'Damn it, I overslept,' Shinobu who had eaten a lot of food last night thanks to her favorite dish being present, slept more than usual and wasn't able to wake up in time to prepare for breakfast.
'Ugh, it is all his fault,' Shinobu blamed Yuu because if he hadn't stopped her from eating for so long, she wouldn't have eaten like a pig last night and wouldn't have ended up sleeping like one as well.
With these thoughts, Shinobu reached the dining room and opened the sliding door.
"Ah, Shinobu-chan you're up?" Kanae who was eating at the table looked over as Yuu continued to eat silently.
"Ah, yeah Nee-sama, I slept a little more than usual," Shinobu answered back as Kanae stood up and walked up to her.
"Have you not been getting enough sleep? Does your tummy hurt? Did you get hurt during the mission? Tell me," Kanae started to hurl questions at Kanae one after the other. It has been a while since Shinobu has overslept, if anything she slept lesser each passing day.
"I just slept more because I ate too much for dinner," Shinobu had no choice but to say it to stop Kanae from embarrassing her further.
"Oh! Shinobu-chan still has that habit after all, You are still the same," Kanae giggled happily as Shinobu's cheeks turned a little red.
"Don't treat me like a kid," Shinobu finally snapped as Kanae continued to giggle.
"Sit down, I'll get the breakfast for you," Kanae made Shinobu sit down at the table and went to get the food quickly.
"What?" Shinobu barked at Yuu seeing that he hadn't said anything yet.

so this isn't dropped or anything, what happened before was I accidentally uploaded a chapter rather than putting a timer on it.
I was really sleepy at the time and since I wasn't able to delete it through phone I just copied the chapter and put a timer on it.
