Why A Dimensional Chat Group?

In contemporary Japan, Yuu Tachibana lives a seemingly ordinary life with his beloved family. However, Yuu harbors a secret: he has lived a past life in another world, making his current life his second. Having no one to call family in his previous life, Yuu cherishes his family all the more. One fateful night, Yuu discovers an unidentified phone in his room. The message displayed on its screen is cryptic and foreboding: [Do you want to save your family from their terrible fate?] With a sense of dread, Yuu is faced with a choice: [Yes] or [No]. Yuu must decide if he is willing to risk everything to protect his loved ones. Will he choose to save them, or let fate run its course? -------- So, before you jump into the fic, let me address the frustration of some readers, This fic is slow. The Dimensional Chat Group, is not given to the MC in the first or fifth chapter. No, no! Not even in 8 chapter, It decides to make a fashionable entrance in chapter 11. And we don't even get to fully explore it until chapter 15. Isn't that just great? The delay in the chat group's appearance seems to be a point of confusion for many readers. While the chat group is indeed a central aspect of the story, it's important to understand why the MC would use this unknown and potentially dangerous power. If the MC is reckless or unintelligent, the chat group's usage might begin in the first chapter. However, if the MC is depicted as a self-proclaimed genius or cautious individual, the story will reach the point of the chat group's involvement by chapter 3 at the latest, followed by a mission. In the initial 8 to 9 chapters, we get a glimpse into the MC's ordinary existence. He leads a regular life, surrounded by his loving family. He attends school, where he has a small circle of friends. Financially speaking, his family doesn't face any difficulties or hardships. And he is content with this simple, everyday life. Now, you might be wondering, why on earth would a person like our MC take a risk with the Chat Group? Hear me out. He's not some thrill-seeker, or a martial arts enthusiast looking for stronger opponents, nor is he a genius bored out of his mind. He's content with his life, and he doesn't crave anything more. So, why would he put his neck on the line? That's precisely why it takes so long for the Chat Group to enter the picture. The initial chapters focus on showcasing his everyday life with family and friends. It's all about giving you a glimpse into why he wouldn't initially desire the chat group. But, of course, he eventually takes the plunge because he discovers a reason that speaks to him. Now, I know some of you may say, "Hey, couldn't you have summed it up in a single chapter?" Well, sure, I could have, but I didn't want to. Summarizing the MC's relationships and motivations would have resulted in a shallow excuse that you—yes, you—would probably complain about later. Plus, there's more to this story than just his daily life. But enough about that. Let's get one thing straight: this fic is slow. If you're expecting a quick summary with occasional fights and snappy dialogue, do yourself and me a favor by clicking off this fic. You'll find what you're looking for in less than 10 seconds, guaranteed. So, if you're still here after this warning, I don't want to hear any complaints about the story's pace. You've been duly informed. And hey, as you read, try paying a little more attention to uncover the hidden meanings within the dialogues and monologues. Also, I am not saying that I have done a fantastic job on the writing, No that’s not the point of this. The point is that you the reader don’t waste your time reading something you don’t like. And I don’t get 1-star reviews for a reason as petty as ‘The Chat group took too long to appear’ That's all for now. Too Many Possibilities

"Umm, Akaza-dono I may respect you but this man is my prey, I want to savor all he has to offer nicely so I will not be telling you about him," For the first time Doma wasn't smiling, it was clear no words will change his mind.

"Do you think I am 'asking' you?" Veins appeared on Akaza's face as he punched Doma but his punch never landed as the latter blocked it with his fan.

"Akaza-dono you've only gotten a little stronger since last time, So, I am doing this for your own good, it would really hurt my heart to be summoned by Muzan-sama again," Doma said and this only enraged Akaza further.

"A-Ah! S-send me away," Hantengu was begging the Biwa-playing woman to send him away because he was scared that he might be killed in the clash between the two.

But there seemed to be no need to worry about that as…

"Akaza, what do you think you are doing?" Kokushibo had cut down Akaza's arm, he was unhappy with what was happening.

"It isn't really something to worry about Kokushibo-dono, Akaza-dono has the right to be angry since I did say that he'll die, but I am just telling the truth," Doma said looking a little glum like he was feeling sad for Akaza.

"You da-" But just as Akaza was about to say something Kokushibo cut him off.

"If you want to prove him wrong you can apply for a blood battle, and then we'll know for sure who is correct,"

"Kokushibo-dono you shouldn't say something like that knowing it is impossible," Doma laughed like he had heard a joke.

"That is the only way to handle things here, otherwise you should act properly in order to not disrupt the hierarchy, Did you understand that Akaza?" But Kokushibo wasn't joking.

"…Yes …I understand, I'll kill that human and you two as well," Akaza said before he took off.

"Akaza-dono, how will you find him without knowing what he looks like?" Doma shouted but Akaza didn't listen at all, "And he is gone, Akaza-dono is just too stubborn."

"I will be hunting the Ubuyashiki Family and I'll leave the rest to you all," Kokushibo was not interested in Yuu as Doma and Akaza were.

"And he is gone as well," Doma was sad that no one stayed behind and talked to him but in the end, he was also sent back to where he was summoned from.

"Suzume come in," Doma called out and a woman opened the sliding door as he put on his hat.

"Send that guy in," Doma smiled sweetly and the woman nodded before leaving.

Doma didn't even have to wait for a minute as the sliding door opened again and a man came inside and then performed a dozega in front of him.

"It is my honor to meet you, Our Saviour!!" The guy looked over the moon to be summoned by Doma, he was just that happy to get this opportunity.

"No need to act like that, I am not different from you in the grace of our supreme god," Doma said with a smile before he got into the main topic, "Tell me everything you know about the man who stayed in your house."

"Ah! Yes, His name was Tachibana Yuu, he had purple eyes and black hair, he was very good looking, he said he was from a farming village….." The guy went on and on as Doma listened to all of the details.

Soon after the man left and Doma was left alone in the room.

"I'll come to meet you guys again, Kanae-chan, Yuu-chan," He smiled gently but the feeling hidden behind that smile was enough to send shivers down anyone's spine.

"I'll rip both of you apart little by little~, No maybe I'll freeze you and keep you as decorations in this hall, Yeah that sounds fun~,"

***

'What is this?' Yuu thought as he found himself in complete darkness. The thing he remembered was defending against the last attack of Gyutaro before he passed out because of the poison.

He didn't know if he was awake or not because he couldn't even move his fingers at this instant.

But his mind was working just fine.

'Too many things to focus on,' Yuu kept on thinking, his mind didn't stop, 'Is it a human? A car accident? A plane crash? A train crash? A shooting? A meteor crashing into the house? A robbery? Getting caught up in a heist? A terrorist attack?'

Since the day he got to know that his family was in danger, his mind has not stopped thinking of the possible scenarios that could put his family in danger.

Even though he knew that he could deal with most of these himself, at least the ones which contained humans as the source of danger. But for many of them…

'Lack of proper communication, lack of speed to reach the designated location, lack of proper firepower to deal with the threat, lack of proper information to prevent the accident,' Yuu didn't meet many conditions to combat these situations.

And these problems were the ones that were limited by the constraints that their world was normal.

'What about magic users? Demons? Evil spirits? I can't touch them, no I can't even see them, what am I going to do if that is the threat?' Yuu's mind was in a constant state of panic since that day, the reason for this was that he did not know what type of danger his family was in.

Nor did he know what was the limit of this danger, was it human? Aliens? Spirits? He did not know, and because of that, he was torn.

'Too many unknowns, too many possibilities,' Yuu didn't want anything to happen to his family, it was only after so long that he had people to call his own.

He didn't want to lose them.

'What do I do?' Yuu's mind was looking for answers but he couldn't find them, he was aware of how weak he was when he fought Gyutaro, he had to make so many plans in order to get through that fight.

And that was his weakness, plans are only going to get him so far. What he may be facing may as well be a being that isn't affected by anything.

What will he do then? Just watch as his family dies?

'What do I do?' Yuu kept on asking him over and over again, the fact that he did not know how much time was remaining before his family gets attacked was also something that was gnawing at his mind.

At this moment he was desperate, That is why he was able to hear a voice…

"You're thinking too much~," Yuu couldn't move but he didn't need to, that playful tone that sounded just as hollow.

He knew who it belonged to without even the need of looking at the face of the said person.

"You have too much to protect, and too many possibilities to plan for," The voice continued as Yuu could hear the sound of wheels turning before it stopped right in front of him.

"You remember what I taught you to do in this situation don't you Smirnov~?" And when he heard his old name, Yuu's surrounding were lit up and he found himself in a completely white hallway.

'Why?' Yuu looked at the man in front of him and tried to step back.

"Why aren't you answering me Smirnov? I know you couldn't have forgotten it with your memory, It is because I was the one who gave you that memory," The man who was sitting in a wheelchair in front of him spoke with a smile that did not reach his eyes.

But after he saw that Yuu wasn't answering he looked puzzled.

"Oh! Are you still in your rebellious phase? Good Good, I don't mind that since it is great progress," Just that it didn't last for long as he truly smiled this time.

And then his facial expression changed once again just like before and he got serious.

"Even then you should remember what I taught you," The man sounded serious, "When there are too many possibilities and too many things to save…"

"You should save yourself, as long as you are alive you can build everything you've once lost without any worries," The man tried to reach for Yuu and…

'No, Stay away from me,' Yuu wanted to step back, he didn't want to be near him, but his body did not move it was still stuck in place.

"Smirnov, you understand that right? You are my greatest creation," Yuu was forced to look into the dead amethyst eyes in front of him, he couldn't look away, "If you die how will I know if my experiment succeeded or not?"

'Get away from me,' Yuu wanted to say that but his mouth didn't move, he wanted to back to get the hands that were on his face, but he couldn't.
