Zarinah's Confessions [4]

Zarinah's pov

Medina was the only good thing Alexei had given me, and no one could convince me otherwise.

He was a kind man, despite the power he held in him. He was strong, he could fight back, he could make everything right, he could do so much, but then that also could have meant he was risking our children's future.

He never wanted that. That man knew how to make me happy, and yes, I'm bragging, I had the best mate, the best husband.

He was the first of the two wolves I ever cared about to make me fall in love, and the other one obviously wouldn't understand. But Medina was good at everything. He was a family man, and he was the guy who valued family as a unit.

He knew it would take a while, but he was willing to fight for us.

Medina was the one who could create a balance between my emotions and the people around me, but with him in danger, I couldn't risk it; it's funny how he supposedly died while hunting away.
