First target spotted

The days passed but it seems that my dream was a bit off. Not that I can predict the future via dreams but still, I had the hope of getting some disciplines.

And now that I lost my godly powers due to this mask I can't even build anything to have some fun. I built this sect with the last bits of my godly powers but I don't know if it was worth it.

I've been all alone here for twenty years. Maybe it's time to recruit some people the old fashioned way?

Eh, I don't have anything else to do either way. I'll just go to a big city and see what's in there for me.

Aah, I can't even teleport there. I only have my cultivation now. Well, at least I'm in the highest realm so I don't have something to be afraid of.

But still, I'll have to use the village's teleportation module. Rip my last golden coin.

And with that I set off to the village. As I didn't have any of those flying swords due to budget reasons I had to walk down all the stairs to arrive at the ground level.

From there I walked straight to the village which thankfully wasn't that far away. Not that I was tired, I was just bored.

After fifteen minutes of walking I finally arrived at the village.

The people here welcomed me and were waving at me because for some reason I had become the guardian of this village.

I went to the chief of the village to give him a parchment which contained a communication spell in order for him to notify me if there is any danger in the village.

And after that it was time for me to leave the village. I walked to the teleportation module which is a large green coloured crystal in the shape of a rhombus which is floating above two circles with some incriptions.

I gave my last golden coin to the guard and set the location to the Westwalk city.

As soon as I touched the huge floating gem I found myself in the middle of a big room.

I looked around me and saw other people appearing from the other four gems that were besides the one I used.

I followed them and got outside the building.

The first thing I noticed was the population this city has. The roads were full of people and because of that even the carriages found it difficult to pass besides them.

The second thing was the how huge this city is. I run a scan with my divine sense and I must say that it's tenfold the village I was in some minutes ago.

Luckily it wasn't hard to find one of the sects that exists in the city or to say it better the representatives of the sect. Because to get to the real sect you have to pass an exam, which is exactly what I'm going to do. The chances for me to find someone good enough to join my sect will increase if I join another sect.

After a while I arrived at the examination grounds or whatever they call them.

And to my great surprise and luck an examination was ready to take place today.

The god is by my side… wait, that's me. Nevermind.

I went through the crowd of kids there were and got to the first place. I wanted to see how exactly they organise these examinations.

I could clearly understand that those kids were anxious as fuck from their conversations. But of course there were those who had absolute confidence in their strength and were just standing alone in a corner or were bulling the others.

Heh, those so called geniuses, I can't wait to shatter all their dreams… I mean, I want to see if there is someone really capable among them, yes that's right.

Suddenly I felt a strong pressure that made more than half of the people who were there to pass out. Only few of them managed to stay on their feet. Some of them barely made it and some others made it with ease.

To tell the truth I almost didn't felt it at all. That pressure was my hypothesis because I sensed someone coming towards here and saw those kids fell unconscious. So I guess that was the first test to see who are strong enough.

"You who are still standing will proceed to the next test." I heard a voice saying from above me.

I raised my head and saw a girl standing ontop of a flying sword. She had long blue hair and eyes to much, a light blue coloured flower on the left side of her head and was wearing a black and white dress.

Not gonna lie, she was beautiful, extremely beautiful, thus it's my responsibility to get her to join my sect by any means. But to do that I have to join hers first.

Sorry lads, but you ain't getting first place with me here.

As I looked on the stage I saw a yellow triangle forming on the ground with one circle in each on its edges.

So that's the formation they will use? Heh, that's child's play. This thing only emits a fire capable of roasting a divine beast. Ah, right, divine beast. I guess those who can't withstand it will turn into ashes. Is it me or that's pretty harsh? Eh, who cares? I gotta take that girl with me.

She descended and standed a bit behind the formation.

"Now the second test begins. Whoever wants to start first should get in the middle of the formation and withstand the fire for as long a they can."

Upon hearing those words of course there was the first fool who thought that he could easily pass the test so he stepped forward and got inside the formation.

And his smile immediately stopped existing from his face because as soon as the fire started he turned into ash.

Everyone were statered from what they had seen but even though they kept going inside the formation.

From all those that went inside only two of them barely survived. And of course most of those who were stronger were just laughing upon seeing that.

To tell the truth I found it a bit boring so I went to a corner and slept for a while.

When I woke up I saw that only six people were there, plus the one who was the reason I woke up.

In front of me was standing a boy with red hair and yellow eyes and was looking at me intensively.

"Can I do something for you?" I asked.

"It's your turn sir." He answered.

Sir? I don't look that old. I look twenty years old at most.

Anyway, I started walking towards the formation and I could hear from behind me the others who had passed the test criticizing me, betting how fast I'll die and stuff like that.

But you know something bastards? Today isn't your day.

I stepped on the formation and the fire surround me.

I hope that the mask won't be damaged by the fire though.

The fire wasn't as hot as I though, it was like I was touching my phone after I was playing with it for a couple of hours and the temperature had risen.

Aah, I missed that technology.

The time was passing by and I was just standing there looking around me.

After about half an hour had passed I turned to the girl and asked, "Um, if you excuse me, for how long do I need to stand here?"

"You need to stand for as long as you can. But are you sure you are okay after all this time inside the formation?"

"Yeah, I'm fine no problem."

Damn, I have to stay as long as I can? If I do that we will be standing here for an eternity.

I'll just pretend that I can't continue.

After five more minutes had passed I stepped out of the fire and fell to the ground having my right hand on my head and said, "Aah, this fire was so strong."

I could see everyone staring at me intensively for some reason.

"Ahem, now we will proceed to the final test. You will have to duel between yourselves and only those who will win will be accepted to the Water Nourishing sect."

Water Nourishing sect? Pfft, what kind of name is that? But anyway I have a mission to complete.

Let's see who my rival will be.
