chapter 1

James runs down the stairs and into the kitchen "morning mom" he said receiving a quick kiss on his cheeks from his mom who was too busy chewing whatever was in her mouth.

James takes up a paper plate then takes the rest of the scrambled eggs in the frying pan and bagels from the toaster slapping on some cream cheese, on one and butter on the other one.

Dropping the last bagel on his plate and walks over the table just to back over to the counter for a red cup and over to the refrigerator and takes out a Coca-Cola, James opens the bottle pouring some of the drink out in his cup closed it, and put it back in the refrigerator and sit down at the table next to his mom, that's when he smells a strong scent on his mom he'd never smelled before, and for someone like him who's picky about perfumes and colognes, it was kind of weird for him to find this strange scent so addicting, to the point he couldn't help himself, "what's that new cologne you're wearing mom?" he asked, his mom raised an eyebrow looking at him while taking a sip of water before she answered, "I'm not wearing any cologne" she replies to him.

James was kind of confused right now cuz knew he smelled it on her two days ago but it was faint.

.

But for some reason the scent was stronger this time than the last time he smells it, James decided to just brush it off, thinking that maybe his mom just doesn't want to give him the name, so he leaves it alone and starts eating one of his bagels.

James receives a text and checks his phone that's when he realize it from his best friend Dante, he opens the message and looks at the screen.

That's when he saw the new brand shoes Dante bought for the summer vacation they going to be spending together, a sudden smile appeared on James face making his mom curious "what's up" she asked, that's when James puts his phone down "oh nothing It's just Dante, he wants to know what time we're going to be leaving" he said, that's when his mom means the sound he knows all too well, that means nothing good was about to come out of his mom's mouth.

"James" his mom started putting the fork down, she looks at him "sorry buddy but you can't go on that trip anymore," she said to James who was shocked.

" What do you mean I can't go? we talk about this 3 months ago and you agree that I can go!" James replied feeling frustrated as hell but his mom understood that and she ignored it "I want you to meet somebody" she said to James "change the date or can't I just meet this somebody another time, like after summer? yeah! that sounds about right" he replies to his mom who sighs "no" she replies to him "who can be so important to make you want to cancel a trip that your son actually went and get a job for just so he could go" he replies to his mom who starts to blushing " I want you to meet somebody special" she replies to him.

James just stopped eating and it looks up his mom. "He coming over here, cuz he can come over early that could work," he said to his mom who shakes her head no "we're going to go over to his beach house this summer it's going to be fun, and going to be great, .. please James," James mom said, James was definitely not happy as soon as he heard his mom start begging him knowing full well he wouldn't say no.
