[Hidden Villages] - [Pokemons]

"You can't catch me, younger sister." A boy evaded a girl's approaching palm without much effort.

Two children were running around the streets of a certain village playing tag, they seemed to be a pair of siblings – a boy and a girl, the former being noticeably older than the latter by at most a year or two.

They passed by several passersby who smiled at the duo who were playing, and when the old people sitting around the street saw the two lovely children, they showed content and heartwarming looks, carefree from troubles and conflicts that wore them down over the years of the past.

"You're going too fast, big brother!" Huffed the young girl in annoyance as she stopped to take mouthfuls of oxygen.

Her older brother also stopped when he saw her halt. He smiled with a bit of pride. "You're just being too slow, younger sister. I'm not even considered the fastest in the Shinobi Academy, teacher said I'm only average..."

By the child's words, it is evident that he was enrolled in an Academy that's teaching children the ways of a shinobi called – the [Shinobi Academy].

"You...! I'm not slow!" The girl pouted in annoyance, and as if to prove her words she carelessly dashed towards her brother which prompted the other to run away from her. When suddenly, not even halfway towards her target, she tripped on a banana and fell face first.

The boy stopped once again when he heard the quite loud 'thud' behind him. He turned around to look only to see his sister's face planted on the ground with her limbs sprawled over the ground.

When he witnessed this, he was about to laugh out loud but when his sister lifted her upper body up with her arms, which were shaking a little bit he stopped as he saw tears gathering in her round-large brown eyes, along with the look of pitiful aggrieved which caused the other people around the street who saw this feeling pity for her.

Nevertheless, it wasn't them who acted first. Before she could even start bawling her eyes out, her brother arrived in front of her and kneeled in her current position.

"Are you alright, Kurumi-chan!?" The older child was visibly worried and frightened, for many reasons. One, he was worried he would get an earful and maybe even a spanking from their parents for not taking care of her sister if they saw the huge bump on her forehead, and two, he was afraid his sister might have hurt herself too much from the fall. From this, one could tell that the boy deeply cared for his younger sister.

When she heard her brother, the five-year-old girl couldn't withstand it anymore and cried after a few acts of sniffling sobs.

The boy didn't know what to do, but he helped his younger sibling up from the ground and then patted her dusty clothes up. He dutifully wiped the dirt around her with a handkerchief that he was carrying with him. "There, there... Don't cry now."

The girl didn't seem to have heard his consolation as her cries increasingly worsened, in the quality of her screaming and the number of tears that were sliding down her cheeks. Talk about 'sheesh' moments...

The boy really didn't know what to do to make his younger sibling stop crying, it made him smile helplessly after he checked that, besides the large and ever-slowly growing bump on her forehead, and a few scratches on her left knee there wasn't anything worth panicking on. So, he could only think of ways to make his younger sister stop crying...

His eyes showed warmth toward his sister who was still loudly bawling in front of him, he got an idea and crouched down as he faced his back toward her. He spoke. "Ride on my back, Kurumi-chan. Let's go home, let's treat your scratch and hide the... uhm... the bruise on your forehead before mom and dad return and find out."

"Piggyback?"

The boy nodded.

He remembered that she quite liked riding on his back, not that he shared the same feelings since his sister isn't that light either. But still, he had no choice in his current situation, anything just to stop her from crying.

And as if this was her goal all along, the girl cheerfully climbed on her brother's back and snuggled comfortably in the place. If the tear stains weren't there, the boy would have thought she was acting it all along.

"Are you alright now, Kurumi-chan?" The boy asked as he looked at his sister.

"Mhm!"

The onlookers unconsciously smiled when they saw the interaction between siblings. 'Such a lovely pair of siblings.' Thought the majority. After that, they go about their day when the siblings slowly made themselves toward the location of their home.

On a hill, a place where one can overlook the whole vicinity of the village, two figures facing the village could be seen standing on the edge of it.

"After years of war, peace had finally settled on in the [Land of Fire], don't you agree old friend?" A man with long straight hair sighed.

The person beside him didn't reply as he merely looked at a section of the village, closely eyeing the siblings from the cliff. Although they were very far away from where the siblings are at, both the man could still vividly see them with their trained senses and seasoned eyes respectively.

The man with long straight hair didn't seem to mind the silence of the comrade adjacent to him.

It took a few moments before the spiky long-haired dude with a fan-shaped clan crest on his clothing started. "We've finally fulfilled our goal of building a settlement here, Hashirama."

"Mhm." Hashirama's brown eyes sparkled at that as he responded with an enthusiastic nod. "A settlement where children of the next generation won't have to kill each other like our times where war is in abundance anywhere."

"A place where kids can train and safely become stronger in an Academy we create inside our settlement so that they would be assigned missions that would fit every individual's capability."

Hashirama took a deep breath as he surveyed the lively streets of the people around, who were greeting each other with smiles, kids playing under the protection of their guardians. "This will be a place where kids won't have to be sent to harsh battlefronts meaninglessly."

Madara could hear the firm conviction in his rival and longtime childhood friend's tone. He smiled as he could feel that Hashirama hadn't changed a tiny bit since the day they met. "Your conviction is still the same, Hashirama. You've endured greatly for the sake of accomplishing this vision. It's often been said that if there's a will there's a way, and that clearly embodies your being."

"I know about that, but despite knowing I don't completely know the true intent of that phase. Nevertheless, what I do know is that - if there are comrades then there certainly would be a way." Hashirama turned his head to face his friend. "I couldn't have done this without you, Madara."

Madara closed his eyes as he sighed with a smile hanging on his lips. "I doubt that..."

They stayed standing there for unknown amounts of time, enjoying the breeze that passed over their bodies whilst at the same time overlooking the settlement they built with the joint efforts of their clans with distinct looks of content and fulfillment.

It was like a dream. The Uchiha and Senju formed an alliance to create this village that resounds loudly with peace and vigor from the people and their environment. In the current era of [Warring States Period], all the people wouldn't have got the guts to imagine this from happening; That the two leading and the two most feared shinobi clans of the [Elemental Nation] that were renowned for their deep-hatred rivalry would be uniting together as to create a settlement for the sole purpose of peace between their clans, ending the decades of bloodshed between them.

Additionally, from the contents of their conversation; There would no longer be any casualties, nor any children that would have to die in vain due to the constant conflicts between not just their clans, but also the other shinobi clans. And so, that gave rise to the building of this village, followed right after was the proposal of being allies with the [Land of Fire Daimyo], which was agreed by Madara and Hashirama. This resulted in the creation of a peaceful state where nation and village stood on equal footing also commenced.

In any case, it was like a dream.

After a while of eyeing the village, Hashirama spoke once again as he enthusiastically informed Madara. "In addition to our Senju Clan and Uchiha Clan. It seems the Sarutobi and Shimura Clan want to join us too."

"What?" The calm and collected Madara finally budged from the words spoken by Hashirama as he slightly widened his eyes while looking over at him. "Are you kidding? Are you serious?!"

"Serious! And there would be many others showing interest in joining us!"

"This village is going to keep on expanding,"

Hashirama patiently waited for his words to slowly settle in Madara's mind, since he was also very shocked at first when he received the letter from the different clans, in a very good way that is. Since, if more clans join them - security, development, opportunities, etc. would come forth from that. Although there would be a hard time coming ahead of them if other clans do decide to join, that doesn't matter as that would easily be settled with democracy.

Then when he saw Madara smiling unknowingly, Hashirama continued. "We're going to come up with a name for the village too..." With that, he looked over at Madara, "Any ideas of what name we should call our village?"

Madara carefully thought as he lifted a leaf he was grasping on his right hand to eye level. He saw the hole in the center of the leaf and he opened his mouth to utter.

"How about... [The Village Hidden in the Leaves]?"

Hashirama was about to tease Madara when he heard that when suddenly... something phenomenal happened that dangerously alerted the legendary shinobis' perception.

The ground beneath them shook in an indication of an earthquake, it wasn't just light too, the ground was quaking so hard that the village's buildings were on the verge of collapse.

Their clansmen below screamed with worry and fright at the sudden turn of events, while the shinobis around weren't just watching this unfold either as they shouted orders and tried to maintain and help the people around to safety with various Jutsus.

Seeing this, Madara's eyes blazed with unhidden anger as the first thought that came to his mind was there's an attack from an enemy, or maybe enemies? He turned towards Hashirama who had the same thought as Madara.

Hashriama was already in a crouching position, as he touched the ground with his index finger.

"Hashirama! How many!? What do you feel?"

Hashirama frowned for a moment before he opened his eyes and he responded with a low voice. "I can't feel chakra signatures, but..."

"What!? Then why can I sense the chakra rampage!?"

Hashirama was equally perplexed, he also sensed that the chakra around... No, not just around, but in the entire scope of his chakra sense, the entire [Land of Fire] seemed to be experiencing this too. And from Madara's words, he too seemed to know this as well.

"Are we the only ones experiencing this or are the other nations in the [Elemental Nations] included?"

"Your guess is as good as mine, old friend." Hashirama sighed. However, if both of their mutual guesses were indeed right, then the thing happening is global-scale, which couldn't be ignored. Both of them disappeared from their original position with a flicker as they headed toward the village, to assist avoid destruction and casualties from happening. The former was unavoidable because of the scale of the earthquake, and it still isn't stopping.

"Why are there cracks in the sky, big brother?" Kurumi, who was being held by her brother pointed upwards as she asks with fright and a bit of wonder.

"What are you talking about-" The boy's words were stuck in his throat when he looked up and saw what his sister meant.

As all people in the village were about to be adequately sheltered. In the next instant, Hashirama, Madara, every person, and all sentient beings saw something in the sky when they looked up, a scene that they would never forget in their entire life.

The sky seemed to have cracks around them, and as all the beings in the world silently looked at it with mixed emotions, the gaps between the cracks seemingly began to widen. The abrupt cognitive dissonance, its black, starry innards, the way it seemed to have no, and simultaneously endless, depth...

Then, the 'creatures' with various shapes and forms began to pour out with a sphere of light protecting their entire body as they slowly levitated downwards the surface of the world. It didn't take long before dozens of millions of these creatures pour out from the cracks, and after an hour or so, the cracks mended and slowly disappeared.

That was the historic year when the other nations adopted the ideology of building a [Hidden Village] for various reasons.

This was also the year when the creatures, which were going to be called in the future as 'Pokemon' and that's how they were introduced to the world of shinobis.

Years passed.

[Village Hidden in the Leaves – Shinobi Academy]

New and fresh students sat down on their chairs, this was their second week of attending the Academy as freshmen. Currently, they listened to their teacher's introduction to history.

"...The structure of a [Hidden Village] instigated by the First Hokage swiftly lead to the creation of many shinobi villages, with the [Five Great Shinobi Countries] standing out as the firmest, the most stable, and strongest in terms of shinobi, finance, environment, services, etc."

"Can anyone here name the five?" The teacher asked as he peered over his students.

A few hands were raised, and the teacher picked the one closest to him.

A girl with brown colored hair which was tied to a ponytail stood up and answered. "[Village Hidden in the Leaves], [Village Hidden by Rocks], [Village Hidden in the Clouds], [Village Hidden in Mist], and [Village Hidden in the Sand]."

The teacher smiled in praise as he clapped. "Good! Well done, you may sit down. Your classmate is correct! Within the time the structure of a [Hidden Village] was brought forth, creatures we call 'Pokemon' also appeared..."

"Teacher, my grandfather said that pokemon weren't around in his time, what does he mean by that?" A student asked as he tilt his head with confusion.

The teacher wasn't the least bit offended by having his words cut off, but he smiled patiently to let the boy finish before he answered. "Your grandfather is correct, Sakumumi. The pokemons didn't appear out of thin air, but they arrived through the sky."

"Oh! I know this!"

"Me too! Father and Mother said that cracks appeared in the sky like chewed Dagashi and that's where they came our from..."

[(1) Dagashi: A circular candy.]

"Yeah! My parents also told me that they were so many..."

While the classroom was becoming lively, a boy who sat at the edge of the room, the table near the window turned a deaf ear to all the noise as he looked out the window, with eyes filled with boredom looking at the pokemon and people passing by the gates of the Academy, lost in his own world of thoughts.

The boy thought. 'How boring...'

He was bored because of the common knowledge being lectured by their teacher. Initially, the boy was very excited to attend the Academy when he was at the right age to enroll. However, his enthusiasm was quickly drowned over the past few days.

Who wouldn't? He already knows of the knowledge being imparted by their teachers from his parents.

How the boy badly wished to go home and play with the pokemon in their clan compound.

"Sigh..."

The kid sighed with gloom. Badly wishing for the day to end fast.
