------------------------------------

"What," was the only thing Rain was able to get out. What sort of ridiculous luck did she have? Also what were even these choices? Rain's heartbeat had shot through the roof, and she had to spent a few minutes doing some breathing excercies to calm herself. When she was finally able to calm down, she began to logically think about things. She didn't know just how many individuals were on this planet, but it had to atleast be the same as earth, if not more. Rain remembered that she had chosen -Powered Luck- when she evolved into E rank, so that could help explain why she had recieved the gift. However the method was too much based on luck. Did the developers really do this just to see who was lucky and who wasn't?

'Whatever, its not like that matters much to me anymore. I won, so now I need to make a choice," Rain thought to herself. She get rid of the gaining ten levels option, and the new evolutionary path option. She was too pleased with herself to choose a new one, plus she wasn't a fan of the other paths. She also chose to get rid of evolving her 'White Mist' to D rank. She had read that getting to Power Level D wasn't too difficult so that would be a waste of an option.

Her remaining options were, an addiotnal esper power, evolving her luck, and a random B item. Out of these three, Rain could get rid of the B item. She doesn't know if she could guarentee that she wouldn't get something completely useless to her. She could get something perfect for her, but it wasn't guarenteed, and she didn't want to bet on it. This left evolving her luck, or gaining an additional esper power. If luck had gotten her the chance to earn this kind of reward, then it had to be worthwhile. Plus this luck was supposedly stronger than what she currently had too. But no matter how Rain could rationalize the choice of choosing the luck, she just didn't want to do it. Relying on a passive thing such as luck just seemed wrong to her. Versus if she were to choose another esper power, she would actively be able to get stronger, rather having to wait for good things to come to her. She just had to choose the second esper power. She just couldn't force herself to choose the luck. Right when she choose that option, she heard a soft chuckle inside of her head. A laugh that sounded oddly familiar.

"This really is my favorite part," the voice spoke.

'Wise old man,' Rain asked. However, the voice never responded to her. Just the soft sound of the ticker being slapped by tiny metal rods. The sound slowed down, until she could hear it no more. She could hear the wise old man cheekily chuckle once more before he spoke.

"Congratulations on acheiving the 'Black Sand' power kid."

"I never got your name," Rain yelled out, however the wise old man was gone. She didn't even know how he had spoken to her in the first place, but he did. Rain could only wallow in her defeat. She decided to look at her character menu, as it had been a long time since she has.

"Wow," Rain couldn't help but gasp. She had gotten so much stronger from when she had first gotten the game. Yet, she was back into the same situation she was back in the very beginning. She didn't know what to do, where to go, or what her new power did.

Rain took in a deep breathe and looked out to the water. The suns were rising, creating a beautiful scene with the sunlights reflecting off of the ocean surface. A beautiful yellow and white color sprinkled the sky and water. Rain fiddled with -Selene's Heirloom- before she was able to create a makeshift scabbard out of the sheath she had picked up before the game updated. She was able to place it on her back, and creating a small opeining in her cloak that would allow her to easily draw the weapon.

Finally steeling herself, Rain stood up, and took one last look at the ocean, listening to the peaceful sound of the breaking of waves. She turned and made her way back to ruins of Aeitha. It seemed that while she was gone for a week, the fires that had been engulfed the town had made its way into the field of grass and burned it all to ash. The once claming field of tall grass that flowed with the wind, was now a barren field of ash and destroyed dreams.

It didn't take long for Rain to make it to the town, although she didn't feel like she was walking very fast, she just assumed she was naturally faster now. When she made it to the front gate of Aeitha, she could see all the foreign soldiers who wore the dark blue uniform had been taken away. Furthermore, all of the weapons, armor and valuables the Aeitha guards had been wearing was taken aswell.

"The terrible perception of the Feldrin Dynasty is well earned," Rain murmered to herself. She was about to walk past the dead bodies of the guards, but she felt something weird. It was a weird pulling sensation, not a physical one, but like an unconcious kind. The same kind of thing that makes you intrinsically turn to look at someone who is staring at you. She crouched down to get a closer look at the body. It was deterating, obviously and had an awful stench, but that wasn't what Rain was looking for.

She put her hand over the body, before she 'willed' the pulling sensation to come to her. The dead body of an Aeitha Guard quickly crumbled into a black sand like substance, before it flew and floated above her hand. Anything that was left on the body, that wasn't part of it fell to the ground. The only thing that transformed into the black sand was the body. Oddly, the amount of sand she got was rather small compared to the amount of mass the body had. From just a visual perspective it didn't look like the sand had the same amount of matter as the body. It broke the laws of the universe, though she did just will the body to turn into the black sand.

Curious Rain, did it to the remaining bodies around her, which happened to be the hundred or so Aeitha Guard. She found she couldn't will all the bodies at once, and had to hold her hand above the target for her 'will' to connect with the sand. One by one, Rain went to each of the dead bodies and transformed them into her 'Black Sand'. It took some time, but Rain had realized that she had plenty of time. Really she had an uncomfortable amount of time to do this. By the time she was done with the hundred bodies, there was large blob of sand, about the size of a beach ball, floating around her. It didn't conform to any shape in particular, and just morphed in and out of shapes.

Rain looked at the sand with curioisty, and touched it with her hands. Her hands sunk into it, and the sand felt soft to her, which was odd because it was called sand. It clung onto her hands, but when she pulled her hands out the sand let go of her and stayed with the morphed shape of other sand. She tried to will it to do something, but it simply wouldn't, it just floated around her. As Rain made her way through the town, she would turn any bodies she found into the black sand. It's size continued to grow the more she traversed through the town.

As she was turning the bodies into sand she couldn't help but think to herself how both of her abilities seemed so edgy. A mist that saps the vitality out of creatures, and a black sand-like substance that comes to existence from dead creatures. Truly disappointing. Why couldn't she have gotten some abilities like fire, electricity or even maybe divine light. Instead, she got these weird edgy abilities. Though she said these things about them, she wouldn't trade them away if even given the chance. They were her abilities and only hers.
