22 Berserk Beast 2
The monkey wanted to put out the fire from its body but it could not. It only pulled out the knife piercing its chest.
The injury from the knife was quickly healed with speed visible to naked eye.
Lucas ran to the beast and used his beast glove to punch its chest part where it was pierced. Bone creaking noised could be heard from the punch.
The monkey still did not look like it was going to die. The intensity of fire on its body was slowly reduced.
With the defense of the Golden monkey, the fire could only hurt its skin. But Jasper controlled the fire on its body to kill the beast quickly.
However, Jasper did not have large enough energy reserve to hurt the golden monkey.
After the punch from Lucas, none of them attacked the Golden monkey.
Lucas needed time to prepare his skill, Jasper had no spare energy left and Jennie could only use her close combat skills which could not deal with the Golden monkey.
The fight only went on for ten seconds and almost everyone was exhausted.
Roan could fight longer and did not panic. Morris also had all his energy and could fight.
The problem was that the Golden monkey was not hurt, all its injuries recovered.
Roan and Morris were the only one able to fight. Others did not have the ability or strength to participate in fight leaving them defenseless.
The golden monkey did not wait for the fire on its body to fully dissipate. Its body was surrounded by a thin yellow fire.
The Golden monkey dashed to the enemy closest to it. Lucas was the closest to the beast only 3 meters away from it.
He wanted to get another shot at the Golden monkey and quickly finish it. He never expected the monkey to be perfectly fine after all these attacks.
The Golden monkey only took a second to reach Lucas and was already throwing a punch at him.
Lucas hastily tried to shield his head with his hands while dodging the punch to his chest.
He also turned the surface of his skin into a stone. When the punch touched his chest, his stone skin crumbled.
He was thrown back ten meters away from his initial position.
He staggered to stand up and splurted blood out of his mouth. Others were still in shock of the beast's strength.
The Golden monkey did not stop there and glanced at Morris. It took only a second and the monkey was already standing in front of him.
The monkey punched again, this time hitting another target. Morris was already prepared with his heavy defense, but he still tried to reduce the damage done from attack using reinforce.
He was the only defense type in the group and it did not make sense for him to dodge. It was another matter that he could not dodge even if he wanted to.
The punch this time was also terribly powerful. Morris was thrown back ten meters but his defense did not break.
He could take the attack from monkey and still be fine.
Roan was observing the beast and found it odd. The golden monkey suddenly felt more powerful than before.
The fire on its body turned from yellow to red and continued to burn. He glanced at Jasper and found that he was not controlling the fire.
The fire was stable and it was beast's own skill. Roan could not wait to observe the beast's strength.
He had no time, he could only depend on inspect skill to check the stats. He used inspect on it and waited for result.
A window opened showing the inspection of the red layered Golden monkey.

He looked at the stats and found that the stamina and energy of the golden monkey decreased.
'Its stamina and energy decreased but in exchange strength and agility has increased. ' he did not waste time and quickly dashed to the Berserk Golden monkey.
He reached Morris and said " Leave, if you cannot hold on. The monkey is using berserk skill. Its strength and agility increased by a lot."
Morris glanced at Jasper and Jennie and shouted at them to retreat. He then looked at Roan and said " I can hold on for a while"
Roan did not bother to warn him again. He used his wind path to maximum and reinforced his body.
Jasper and Jennie both retreated towards Lucas. The berserk golden monkey did not care about them and rushed to Morris again.
Morris readied his defense and stood upright " I can take three more hits, try anything if you can" he said to Roan.
Roan nodded and did not say anything. He was a meter away from Morris but still the monkey only targeted Morris.
It punched and sent Morris flying again. Roan was quick to approach the berserk monkey. He used his fists to hit the monkey's head.
The monkey was sent back two steps and its whole body was shaking from the impact on its head.
It turned its attention to Roan and punched him. He easily avoided it and punched the head of berserk monkey again.
Blood leaked from the monkey's head and it acted more wildly. Its speed increased again to the same level as Roan.
He regretted not killing the monkey in one hit. He avoided the punch from monkey and stepped back.
The monkey also moved not letting the distance between them increase. It threw punches again and again not giving him any room to dodge.
One punch hit his stomach, blood came out of his mouth. He was in middle of pain and then another punch came to his shoulder.
He used wind path to reduce the impact of punch but still his shoulder felt like some of the bones shattered
The berserk golden monkey was still raining attacks one after another. Morris was way back from the battlefield and did not even dare to participate.
He lost all hope of winning and wanted to run away with others.
' No it's fine. The monkey is using berserk skill, it will gradually weaken. Just wait' Morris comforted himself
'Why the hell I am being beaten to a pulp when I only punched it. The person who put it through fire ran away and it did not even bother chasing him' Roan thought to himself sad of his situation.
He wanted to attack but with his disabled shoulder he could only defend. His stomach was badly injured and he felt a gut wrenching pain.
The berserk golden monkey did not stop either not giving him any gap to attack.
Morris finally came close and rushed in the rain of punches and kicks. The second he rushed in, he was already punched twice.
Roan got the second of relief and quickly used his hand to condense 4 points of his energy.
He punched the monkey on its head again but this time a splurt of blood came out. His punch with 4 points of energy broke the already damaged head of berserk golden monkey.
Morris was already thrown away from the punches of beast. He was laying on the ground few meters away from the headless beast.
Roan sat down and quickly started his energy to stop his bleeding and supress injuries.
He wanted to pretend that he was using some kind of healing skill so that it would be easy to explain when the body restores from instant level up.
After three seconds the notifications started popping up.

'It seems that the monkey still had a thread of life in its body. Only after five seconds did it die.' he sighed
He felt it was very careless to think that the Beast died just because its head broke.
Energy flew into his body and healed the injuries from his stomach and shoulder. He healed back to his peak.
He opened the system to check if anything unlocked in the level up.

He used his hand to search the hole made on the corpse's chest. He put his hand inside and then summoned the Beast crystal of the golden monkey.
He put out his hand holding the beast crystal and put the crystal on the ground near him.
He wanted others to notice that he has taken the beast crystal out of the body for himself.
Morris saw him taking the crystal out but did not say anything. He knew that for the most part Roan could already kill the beast by himself.
Roan waited for others to retreat and then engaged in fight with the monkey. If he only wanted to sneak attack the monkey like himself then he did not need to alert others.
Morris only sighed to himself and was happy that he did not die in the hands of beast.
It also made him interested in the background of this guy who could solo a berserk attack type beast.
He put his thoughts to a break and started healing his injuries, he was not badly hurt like others but he was still low on energy with some broken bones.
It was only for one second but he sustained many injuries and broke some bones during it.
Jasper and others came back seeing the berserk beast drop dead. They were also worried for their teammates but could only escape with their lives.
They were in awe of Roan's strength. They saw him battling the beast and killing it from far away.
It was not very clear because of the speed of fighters but they could still tell that Roan was faring well against the golden monkey.
When they came close and saw his body, they were more amazed of his strength. He did not have any fatal injuries and only had some blood on his mouth from battle earlier.
His clothes were in bad state but that was it. According to them, he was meditating and probably using his energy to heal injuries.
They did not disturb Roan and Morris. Morris was only a support character in battle but still they knew he was hurt.
They sat down near them, all recuperating and recovering their energies together.
Lucas saw the beast crystal near Roan and could only sigh. He also tried his best and was the first one to get hit but could not stand up again.
On the other hand Roan killed the Golden monkey and also pulled out its beast crystal in front of everyone for himself.
'He does not even fear anyone attacking him for the beast crystal' he thought in his mind
'But then again, who would dare to sneak attack someone like him who killed an intermediate tier beast in its berserk mode' he felt shadowed by his power.
Jasper was also amazed at Roan's strength and speed. He only exhausted his energy and could still spectate the battle between two.
'He already uses his Reinforce at this level. He can double the speed with the help of reinforce and still fight properly' Jasper thought
He did not imagine that Roan had another skill which boosted his speed. He thought that Roan uses reinforce to increase his attack as well as speed.
Roan was not yet that proficient in using the reinforce skill.
