"That would be your car, Elizabeth." Vans pointed at the black car in the underground garage filled with cars of different types and colours.

"And why am I getting a car?" Elizabeth frowned, her level of confusion was at its pick.

"My guess is as good as yours, the higher ups have never been this kind, my notes is that they're just sorry for treating you like that." Vans shrugged and handed the car keys to her before moving to where his own car has been packed.

The small frown on her face slowly extended into a large scowl when a reckless thought infiltrated her mind. She hated the fact that she could not see anything that happened now as natural or normal, she always pointed everything towards that man and she hated herself even more for thinking that the strange man was now in control if her life and anything happening in it.

Elizabeth just stood there, even when Vans bade her goodbye and drove off, she couldn't respond because her eyes were on the clean black car, the dark colour sparkled with radiance and glowed just like that of the mysterious man. She even despised it more for its resemblance to the eyes of her nemesis.

Her legs that were rooted to the ground slowly moved towards the car. But just before she could insert the key and open the car door, a voice called out to her, bringing her out of her reverie, "The case of favouritism is quite high, this level of guilt and sympathy is one I haven't seen before."

Elizabeth turned to see the owner of the voice, that dry voice belonged to no other than Dyson.

"..."

"I've been an Inspector for three years and then suddenly, my co-inspector Vans suddenly climbed up the ranks and a Sergeant suddenly becomes an Inspector just like me, the favouritism is quite clear isn't it."

Elizabeth did not utter a word in her defense, she only stared at him and the negative feelings she had on him rose, his pattern of speaking that was oddly similar to that of the mysterious man. Her face contorted at that thought, disgust rising from her insides.

"Maybe if you work as hard as myself or Cheif Inspector Vans, then you might be favoured too." Those cold words escaped from her lips before she could even know it.

She opened the door and got in, started the car and immediately drove off, leaving the pale lonely figure all alone with a look of anger and dislike painted on his plain face.

The young newly appointed inspector drove through the road in the dark night, she glanced at the file that had the names of the detectives under her.

"Ha." She chuckled and thought aloud, "I really didn't expect this."

The police on watch on the streets and by the road side had increased exponentially and she knew that it was due to the cases that was slowly coming into the light, the citizens were still left in the dark though, to prevent panic.

The smooth movement of the car and the comfortable chair gave her a small feeling of comfort, it was like spending all uour mobey before death or receiving payment first before doing a crazy assignment.

She took in a deep breath, letting the cold night's air fill her lungs while still keeping her eyes on the road.

Her small moment of silence was interrupted when her phone rang, she glanced at it and the number displaying on the screen was a private one, but she stool took it anyway.

She picked up the call and set her eyes back on the road, "Hello."

"Time to clean up, Miss Elizabeth." Her moment of peace was now completely shattered, her peaceful heart lurched and raised, that familiar calm, cold and deep voice pierced deep into her soul.

She slowly turned the phone over and tapped on the record button, "I've sent you an address, go there and pick up the delivery then deliver it to the other address I will send to you." The calm voice gave no chance for arguments, he immediately hung up.

Elizabeth stopped the car and immediately called Cheif Inspector Vans, her heart beat increased with every second he took to pick up the call.

"Yes, Elizabeth."

"Cheif, can you please come over to the station?" She held her breath and asked to avoid sounding scared.

"Huh? But I just left."

"I know, I'm sorry… but I think I've got something that m-might be related to the case." Her breathings were erratic and her stutters made Vans worried.

"Uhm…alright, I'll be there." Vans finally gave in.

She reversed the car and drove back to the station as fast as she could. As soon as she got to the station, she immediately fled the car without pausing to check if it was properly locked. She ran straight to Vans' office but his office was locked, seeing that only Dyson still had his lights on, she ran into his office and jammed the door behind her.

Dyson that was not startled at the slightest only stared at her with confusion written all over his face.

"Got a problem?" He asked with his grumpy tone but Elizabeth simply scanned the office without giving an answer.

She stood rooted to the door without moving an inch, it was long before a light knock came from the door, she jerked up and opened the door.

Immediately she who was outside, she dragged him in and shut the door tightly.

Elizabeth quickly sent a text message to her cousin, instructing her to lock all the doors and windows and to stay safe inside the house. She wanted to send one to Elena too but the hospital was already guarded enough and also she had no time to send a private message to her.

"Why did you call me back, Elizabeth?"

Elizabeth tossed her phone aside when Vans asked that question.

"Yo-You remember the Lord those men talked about in that video I gave you before?" She asked inbetween stutters.

"Yes?"

"I met that Lord a few days ago." She peeled the skin on the tip her fingers to calm herself down.

"What?! A-And you're just telling us now?" Vans expressed his shock while Dyson just stared at her with furrowed brows.

Elizabeth ignored their expressions and instead picked up the phone she had tossed on the desk, she played the call she had recorded.

*I've sent you an address, go there and pick up the delivery then deliver it to the other address I will send to you.*

The short recording played and ended within seconds, Elizabeth looked up to meet the confused looks on their faces.

"I don't get how this is related to their Lord." Dyson frowned.

"Please believe me, let's head to the address first."

"We need more explanation, Elizabeth." Vans sighed.

"I said I'll tell you when we are back!" She banged the desk in annoyance. Taking a deep breath to calm her nerves, she glanced at Vans and Dyson before adding in a calmer tone, "Let's go there first, I'm sure you won't be disappointed."

"...and It would be best if we go there with a few sergeants and detectives too."
