CHAPTER 6: A DISASTRUS MEETING
The only thing that could be used to describe the atmosphere is 'tense.'
The whole family sat around the dining table at the royal palace, it took a whole lot to bring them all there.
They weren't used to socializing and suddenly a man living in a castle like building is interested in their daughter, they would have thought he is a King, but the castle seems to empty.
"So can someone explain what going on here?" Alexa's father asked glaring holes at the Alpha and Beta sitting at the head and side of the table.
He has an idea of what is happening, but he just can't believe his daughter will act the way she did just because of a stranger.
"Father" Alexa whined looking at her father with pleading eyes.
"What do you mean Father Alexa, are you out of your damn mind, you left the house without someone with you then you met a stranger who made you almost sick for a whole week and now that you found him again you suddenly want to move in with him, is something wrong with you!" Caleb yelled at his sister, he couldn't believe it.
He wouldn't allow this, he didn't care if others allow, he will never approve.
"I'm a big girl Caleb, I can go out whenever I want to, and I can be with whoever I want to be with" she said.
Alexa couldn't even yell, she wanted to cry because none of her family has ever raised their voice on her before and now, she finally found something that is making her happy, and they won't even try and understand.
Alexa's mum kept mute all the while watching her daughter with calculating eyes, they have definitely charmed her daughter, this isn't the daughter she raised, her Alexa will never argue with her family for anything talkless of a strange man.
"I don't care if you're clocking 50 right now Alexa, I'm not in support of you moving in with a man talkless of the one your barely know" Caleb said giving his sister a disappointed look.
Alexa looked at her dad for help and he just shook his head confused, scared and worried about his daughter's behavior. Maybe they shouldn't have moved.
"I'm not in support either Alexa, you're coming home and that's it, I don't care if you don't eat we'll scarf it down your throat" Alexa's father finally said and she started to get angry.
"For the first time I'm asking you guys for a favor and this is what I get" she snapped and her mother suddenly banged her hand on the table.
Without a word she stood up and left the castle to wait for her family in the car, what was happening was too much for her to take.
Immediately her father followed after her mother without sparing a glance at anyone muttering how stupid it was to allow his daughter to go search for a stranger in the first place.
"Think with your fucking brain Alexa" Caleb said before standing up and following after his parent.
The attention is now mainly on Darius as he is the only one who still haven't said a word.
Darius looked at his sister even if all he wants is to make her happy, he knows she's making a bad move.
"Alexa let's go" he finally said, and Alexa almost burst into tears.
King Eros noticed all what is happening, and he can't help but feel guilty.
After all it because of him that his mate is having a fight with her family. To him, she moving immediately into his home is a normal tradition but he seems to forget she's human and they both have different cultures and traditions.
"Darius please" Alexa begged, she doesn't know why she's pinning on this man but she has never begged them for something like this before so shouldn't they understand.
Darius sighed, confused and feeling pity for his baby sister.
"Lexa you know them agreeing to come here was only to try to make you happy but what you're asking of them is too much and dangerous might I add" he stated with a pointed stare at his sister.
The main reason they kept moving is so people won't find out about her and now she wants to move in with some people where her secret won't be safe at all.
Alexa started to feel guilty as she finally understood why her family is so against the idea, in the moments of meeting Eros she totally forgot the sacrifice her family made by moving every time because of her.
"I'm sorry I was just thinking of myself" she sobbed, and the drizzle of rain started as the sky started to cloud.
Her parents sighed in the car when they noticed the upcoming storm, no one saying anything as they were all shocked with Alexa's behavior.
Caleb stood outside the car as he waited impatiently for his sister to come out, he felt guilty for yelling at her, and he would apologize but he'll never agree to her demand.
"I assure you there's nothing dangerous here for her" Eros said to Darius, totally unaware to the hidden meaning in their words.
Darius glared at him and huffed while Elijah was confused, there is more to this matter he thought.
"The only reason I'm still sitting here is because my sister has never been the one to be this rebellious, so she must really like you if she's acting like this" Darius said and Alexa blushed sniffing.
Eros heart leaped with joy as he heard what Darius said, even if the circumstance he heard it was bad, he is still happy to know his mate must really like him.
"I'll see if I can talk to my parents so you both can see each other from time to time" he continued, and Alexa looked up at him hopefully and he nodded his head.
She jumped on him hugging him so tight.
"Thank you" she whispered happily as the sun started to peak from the sky.
Eros smiled at his mate's happiness.
"What's with the weather" the beta said looking outside as he has been noticing the changes.
Darius choked and he and Alexa starred at themselves wide eyes before Alexa shakes her head gently while manipulating the weather so the sun will stay, she hated losing control because of things like this.
All the while the beta missed nothing from the interaction while the King was to busy admiring his mate to notice anything.
"What deal did Darius make?" Alexa's father grunted as he noticed the sun shining high in the sky now.
