Postscript

The idea for this fanfiction hit me while I was on the toilet. After maxing out Jingliu in Honkai Star Rail, I was so impressed by her character, personality, abilities, and backstory that I decided to write a fanfic about her.

Initially, I planned to focus heavily on action and supernatural elements. However, reflecting on my past fanfics (that I never released), I realized that approach might not lead anywhere substantial. So, I changed gears to a slice-of-life and school-life theme. This explains why the first half of the story features intense fighting and conflict, highlighting Yasushi's typical problem-solving method. It also delves into his past, though he gradually starts to handle situations differently as the story progresses. By the middle of the fanfiction, his approach becomes more nuanced, though physical confrontations still occur occasionally.

Here's a quick overview of what's next:

- Volume 2 will cover the summer arc and their final year of high school.

- Volume 3, the final installment, will address their college years and focus on Jingliu and Yasushi's transition into the "real world."

Volume 1 wrapped up with about 222,973 words, excluding the postscript. Volume 2 might be similar in length or slightly shorter, around 150,000 words. Volume 3 will likely be the shortest, though its length is still uncertain due to ongoing changes in the writing process.

Looking ahead, I'm interested in writing more slice-of-life stories featuring characters from other games like Wuthering Waves, Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail, and possibly Honkai Impact 3rd. Changli (WuWa), Ruan Mei (HSR), and Arlecchino (GI) are characters I'm excited to explore in future fanfiction projects.

Thanks to everyone still following along. This is a hobby for me, and I don't plan to pursue it professionally. Volume 2 will start the day after the current one ends, following the usual schedule, unless there's an update.
