(Valerie Hart's POV)

[Valerie was just laying down blankly staring at the ceiling when Bryce entered her room and started to irritate her with his shameless behavior.]

'Hunn, how come you are still laying down? It's time for us to go and choose our dresses for tomorrow's party.'

[Valerie gets up hearing Bryce's words.]

I was hoping that you just don't come looking for me. I don't have the power right now to deal with you. I have a lot going on which you can't even fathom. Getting a beautiful dress is the last thing I should be thinking about.

'Sorry, I forgot. You go first, I'll go after you.'

'Val, why are you so quiet these days? We are back together after two whole years, and how come you are not even a bit excited?'

You know what happened on that night yet you are saying these outrageous things! How can you expect me to love you?! You sociopath!

'You are really shameless, aren't you?'

'Wow, really? I thought I was being a real gentleman to you.'

You... THE Bryce Carter, a gentleman?! Are you kidding me? People who really know you know how much of an obnoxious jerk you are.

'After what happened 3 years ago that night, you want me to love you back? You want me to be excited about being with you?? I HATE YOU WITH ALL MY SOUL AND I'M NOT GOING TO FORGIVE YOU! NEVER!'

'Hunn, don't shout that loudly or you will strain your vocal chord.'

'You killed my mom in front of my eyes! And now you want me to have a happily ever after relationship with you?!'

She adopted me, raised me, gave me a life I never deserved. And here I am standing in front of her murderer totally helpless. I hate myself too!

[Valerie grabs Bryce by his collar as she is bawling her eyes out.]

'Hunn, what do you think you are doing?'

Let's forget about revenge and just both die here!

'You are nothing but a murderer to me! Just because I'm complying to your requests doesn't mean I'm in love with you.'

'Hunn, you were my accomplice that night still you think you can blame me for a stranger's death?'

'Don't try to manipulate me I know what happened that night! I've gotten back my memories of that night!'

Those cheap tricks won't work on me anymore. I know what happened that night and how you tried to gaslight me for days after that. I remember everything!

"ALL THAT BLOOD LOOKS GOOD ON YOU. IT REALLY BRINGS OUT YOUR BEAUTY EVEN MORE!"

Why Bryce? Why the look on your face is changing?

'Don't you remember these exact words? You said them while all I was trying was to come to terms with the fact that my mom was in front of me, dead, and I was the reason for her death.'

'I don't know what you are talking about Valerie. But one thing for sure, your memories are not correct.'

'Okay, let them be wrong. Then I'll find out the truth. You just wait!'

I know being emotional is not something clever to do right now, but I just lashed out. Valerie control yourself!

'Look! I'm not feeling good right now so that choosing a dress thing just go and do it yourself.'

'V, aren't you being too harsh on me right now? You came after a long time and now you are acting like this!'

Are you kidding me or are you fooling yourself? I didn't come back because I wanted to.

'Don't.....push....me....too...much....'

[Hearing Valerie's cold and resolute reply Bryce left Valerie alone without any more words. In the room she is left all alone with her guilt, rage and hatred.]

(Morning before the party starts, Valerie's room)

[Valerie is getting ready for her mission. She is getting more nervous as the time for her test is coming closer.]

I'm done with preparing for the task. I know after the announcement he will get busy with his elegant guests. I've to just excuse myself without getting noticed. And maybe I'll have 15 to 30 minutes to finish all the work.

After the work is done I've to go look for Bree. I just can't hold up that anymore. I've to go back to NYC for her. What if she was caught in this cross-fire between that unknown man, Bryce, and me. I need to go and check.

(In the party)

[Valerie is being monitored fully by Bryce and she can feel it. All she can do is walk around the party holding Byce's arm and greet a bunch of unknown people.]

If it goes on like this I won't be able to move even a bit from here. What should I do?!

Aha! The good old trick. Red wine! I need to make a little bit of chaos here.

[Valerie scans her surroundings and finds her target. Two guests standing close to the wine table chatting without a care for the world.]

Sorry ladies, I've to ruin your dresses. But I believe it won't be much of an inconvenience to you.

[With a dark gloomy face Valerie takes leave from Bryce.]

'I'm not feeling too well. Let me just go get a drink'

[Bryce looks at Valerie intensely and whispers to her.]

'Do whatever you can but don't try to ruin my party. You will regret if you try.'

'I know... I know you better than anyone present in this room. Truly I just need a drink.'

[Valerie proceeds forward and stumbles with one of those two, and while falling down she took hold of a corner of the tablecloth of the wine table.]

'UHH! Are you okay?!'

[The lady Valerie bumped with seemed really concerned.]

'I'm really sorry for causing you guys trouble. I was not feeling well but I didn't expect to cause such inconvenience to others. I'm really sorry.'

[As Valerie's dress is totally ruined and also her hand slit from broken pieces of the wine glasses Bryce is left with no other option than to let her leave the party. Valerie whispers to Bryce before leaving...]

'Sorry Bryce, I was not thinking clearly. I should have paid more attention.'

'I can clearly see what you did there don't try to act innocent!'

[Valerie smirks and leaves without even looking back.]

Now is the time. I have to go check his study. They said it will take only a few minutes to complete the work but the main task is going to be getting access to his computer.

[After few minutes of walk Valerie is standing in front of Bryce's study. She pushes the door and enters the darkroom.]

Why no lights are on? Maybe I should finish my work in the dark too otherwise I might attract his staff.

[Valerie turns on the PC and to her astonishment, the PC is not even password protected.]

Is it some kind of trap or what? It is not supposed to be this easy to get into his PC.

[That person is sitting in front of a computer screen again. And they are already executing something to help Valerie with her task.]

'I can't let Valerie face any danger before confirming her stance in this game. And also I just can't keep seeing Bryce having a blast at a party.'

[They type something in their computer and press the send button. Their mild laughing sound can be heard.]

'I know that no matter how powerful you are, you have to maintain some norms to keep Simpleton Crop. from toppling over, and Valerie has her own morality so I can't make her do atrocious things. But for me..... unlike you guys, I have no limits to get what I want. The day I saw Officer West dying in front of me, was the day I lost my all morality.'

[They get up and turn off their PC.]

'At last, after three years the time has come and I won't let anything or anyone stop me from destroying you, Bryce!!'
