Chapter 50: Kaede and Nene part 1

*Tadano POV*

After finishing the song, the audience applauded us. I bowed and made my way to where I had seen that girl. 

Once there, I sighed. 

Just remembering her appearance made me realize that things wouldn't be as simple as I thought.

Tadano: "Shinomiya Kaguya... if Kaguya is here, that means 'She' is also here. That would be good for my plans. But the problems with the Shinomiya's and the ones 'She' would bring are also a lot of variables... moreover, Kaguya herself could get in my way... everything is getting complicated," I murmured to myself.

"Don't overthink it. Worst-case scenario, you can win over Kaguya. If that bookworm Shirogane could do it, why can't you? You have a better chance with your abilities. Who knows? You could even take over the Shinomiya group. A couple of mortals and their dirty games won't be a match for you once you finish growing. Plus, why worry about 'Her' at the moment? She should only be a few years older than Hitomi. If you find her first, you'll have the best asset you could wish for. And with 'Her' in your hands and under your supervision, how could those pests do anything to her?"

You have a point... I shouldn't be so cowardly. I could even find Saitou myself and start the company right then and there, having not only the best asset but also the best manager.

"That's the spirit. Now wipe that long face. A certain curious bunny has been looking at you somewhat worried for a while. And get them out of here quickly. If Shinomiya Kaguya is involved, things could turn quickly. It doesn't matter if they find us because we can escape in the chaos. The problem would be if they find your little turtle and her bunny friend."

I appreciated the advice and turned my head to see a concerned Nene. She was looking at me hesitantly, wondering if she should talk to me

Seeing that she was watching her, she became nervous and began to wave her hands in panic at being caught.

I took one of her hands and pulled her into my embrace.

I wrapped my arms around her as she rested my face on her silky hair.

Nene was surprised by my actions but timidly returned the hug. 

Without giving further explanations I asked.

Tadano: "Where's Kaede?"

A little puzzled by my question, she replied.

Nene: "She's playing with the children... after singing, many of them surrounded her... and now she's playing with them and occasionally sharing a few of her sweets."

I separated from her for a moment and looked around for Kaede. I quickly found her when I saw a group of children with a young woman with black hair in the distance. She was carrying a little girl on her shoulders while chasing a group of children running away from her. It was an adorable sight.

Tadano: "She's as good with children as always. She'll be a good mother in the future. Since I met her, I always felt a kind of maternal aura emanating from her. It's reassuring and warms the heart. The man who marries her will be very lucky," I said as I watched Kaede playing with the children.

Nene: "I understand. The atmosphere around Kaede is very calm and relaxing. She's kind, pretty, and gets along very well with children. I also believe she'll become a great mother," she said, giving a gentle look at Kaede in the distance. After a moment, she looked away and sighed. Then she looked at me, with a completely serious tone of voice reflected in her eyes.

Nene: "Tadano Hitohito... I know how you look at Kaede, and I'm aware of your intentions with her. I've confirmed that you're not a bad person... that's why I entrust my friend to you, and I hope you make her happy. However, if I find out that you've hurt her, I don't care if I can't beat you... I'll do everything possible to kick your ass.

I was shocked for a moment.

"That serious look on her face is kind of hot."

*Ding*

"[The Corruptor of the Sacred] fervently assents to that statement."

Ignoring the pair of degenerates, she gave Nene a playful expression.

Tadano: "Oh? And what kind of intentions do I have? Could you explain?"I said in a mocking tone.

I didn't want to mock Nene's determination; it's just that I saw how rigid her expression was. That's when I knew she was forcing herself.

Wanting to break that fake face I decided to joke around a little.

She got a little nervous but she responded anyway as she tried to keep her expression serious.

Nene: "Y-You know… You want to make her… your girlfriend, right?"

Tadano: "And how do you know that I'm only going after her∼" I said while she placed my hands on her cheek.

She blushed a little at my touch but then pushed my hand away and said.

Nene: "I'm serious... please don't joke with me while I'm talking about my friend's feelings."

Tadano: "Oh? I'm serious too... who said I'd only go after Kaede? I could go after you too..." I said as I took her by the waist and pulled her closer to me. Although she resisted a little, she still let me draw her closer.

Our faces approached until a single movement from either of us would make our lips meet. Her expression was a sight to behold; for some reason, I enjoyed doing this to Nene. Seeing her embarrassed expression was priceless.

Tadano: "Tell me, Nene... why do you think I wouldn't go after you?"

Nene: "I… I'm not that pretty… I'm not that tall… not the smartest either… and definitely not the curviest… I don't have much to offer… the only thing I'm good at is taking care of my siblings and helping with things." that I can help whoever needs it... I really don't think I can be your type..."

I couldn't help but laugh at her statements.

Tadano: "Pfft HAHAHAHAHA!"

Nene: "Please… don't make fun of me…" she said embarrassed.

Tadano: "That was the best joke I've ever heard! Aren't you pretty? Honey, I think you need a pair of glasses… your face is beautiful and those pair of moles under your eye and lips make you incredibly hot…" I said as she gave him a fiery look.

Which caused her to become shy.

Tadano: "I don't care that you're not tall... or your intelligence... although to be honest I don't think I'm smart enough either..." I joked, even though I have a 10 in intelligence, I don't consider myself the next Einstein.

Tadano: "And about your curves… that can always be fixed with the right effort. And maybe they'll get a little bigger after a couple of kids," I said as she ran my hands over her body and whispered her last sentence into her ear.

The girl turned into a tomato because of how red her face was.

Completely embarrassed she buried her face in my chest, refusing to let me see her completely embarrassed expression.

I laughed at her action, and while I held her in my arms, I said.

Tadano: "Don't consider yourself less than anyone, Nene. You're a great woman! And you'll surely be an excellent mother. Anyone who thinks badly of your appearance or attitude is a complete idiot without a brain, and you should call me immediately to take care of him. You're a wonderful person, whom I would like to be involved with," I said as she still had her face buried in my chest.
