13 Chapter 13: The coffee journey part 2

Damn that was so sweet of him.

Tadano: "Well then I will accompany you and I will not take no for an answer."

Komi: "But I…"

Tadano: "No denials, plus I'll let you make the order, I'll only interfere if I see you panic, okay?"

Komi: "Okay, thank you very much Tadano-San."

He gave me a smile so dazzling I could have sworn I went blind for a moment.

With that we headed to the Store.

When we found ourselves in front of the store the girl began to shake again.

Placing my hand on her shoulder I said.

Tadano: "Come on you can do it, breathe, calm down and do it"

Komi-San nodded and after inhaling for a moment, she let out the air charged with her insecurities.

With renewed courage I decide to enter.

The atmosphere was very elegant.

Foreigners in nice suits, young people on the side doing their jobs on laptops or taking notes from a book while drinking their coffees, a few celebrities trying to go unnoticed while enjoying their coffee.

Seeing such an environment Komi-San stopped and turned around, when she was about to take a step to flee and try another day a familiar hand stopped her.

Tadano: "Come on Komi-San, it's not that big of a deal, you don't need to run away for something like this, think of this place as just another ordinary conviviality store and place your order. Ok?"

Komi-San trembled a little, she was somewhat doubtful, she thought that maybe she wouldn't belong here. But she, reflecting on the words of her friend, decided that he was right, when she was going to take a seat to wait to be attended to but she was stopped again by the same hand.

This is not like the rest, you have to get closer to give your order.

Understanding the situation Komi-San approached the counter.

Manager: "Welcome, what is your order?"

Komi-San remembered her friend's request but it was very complicated to explain, so without a better understanding she decided to make gestures with her hands.

Seeing this situation, the manager gave Komi-San the menu.

Komi-San's eyes shone like stars and she began to search for what her friend wanted.

She panicking when she didn't find him.

Komi-San is about to cry.

But then the Manager shouted.

Manager: "I understand! "I completely understand you, miss! Please take a seat in the withdrawal section, while I make her request."

Komi: "…"

Komi-San could only sit and wait and pray that whatever she was doing was what Najimi wanted.

*a few minutes later*

Manager: "Here is her order, a FANTASTIQUE VALENCIA ORANGE BITTER CHOCOLATE BROWNIE WITH NATTE FLAVOR SAUCE PISTACCHIO SAUCE ON SOY MILK CREAM FRAPUCCINO MANY MANY CREAM MANY MANY CHIP!"

Komi-San looked at the coffee, then looked at the man.

She knows it's not the right one. She really she wants to say that it's not the right one.

Manager: "I'll put it in a bag."

When she had the coffee and was preparing to leave completely defeated, a voice said.

Tadano: "Sorry friend, this is not exactly what my friend wants, if it's not too much trouble you could ask her properly, oh! And don't worry about the coffee, I'll take it."

I said as I took the paper bag from the man's hands.

Komi-San looked at me gratefully to which I gave him a kind smile.

Tadano: "Well, now try it, and this time do it with your notebook to avoid further confusion, I don't think I can finish more than 2 coffees like these on my own," I scoffed while lifting the paper bag with the coffee in my hand.

She nodded with a slight smile as she wrote Najimi's request in her notebook.

The manager, upon seeing her order, felt a little embarrassed and gave her a coffee of her choice as an apology for the misunderstanding.

Komi-San ordered a normal latte with some cream.

Komi-san happily carried her bags with coffee on the way to high school.

Komi-San wanted to take out her notebook to speak but she couldn't because she had her hands full.

Laughing a little at the fun of her situation, I took one of the bags out of her hands so that it could be easier for her to communicate.

Komi: "Thank you for your help Tadano-San it would have been my complete defeat if you had not guided me and helped me, I am very grateful."

Tadano: "There is no problem Komi-San, that's what friends are for…" I said while she smiled at him. Lately she smiled more when I'm with her. It's a strange but pleasant feeling.

Komi: "I still want to thank you properly. "Can you come a little closer please."

Somewhat intrigued, I approached.

Leaving his things on the floor for a while and getting close to my ear he whispered.

Komi: "Thank you very much Tadano-Kun."

Finishing her sentence, she quickly picked up her things from the floor and ran faster like the wind. Her face was a sight to behold, her blush was very noticeable but so was her big smile.

I was stunned, for a moment I almost dropped the coffees in my hand.

When I recovered I followed her as fast as the coffees integrity left me.

*Itan High School*

*Classroom*

Najimi: "Ah! They're back, how did they get it?" asked a cheerful Najimi.

Komi extended her hand showing the paper bag with Najimi's coffee.

Najimi: "Oh! You really got it, Thank you Komi-San I was really waiting for it" she said as she took the coffee out of the bag very surprised that it was the right one. She gave Tadano a fleeting glance that he ignored.

Najimi: "Well then just let me take a photo for…" she wanted to say until she tripped on the table, causing it to drop the coffee falling to the floor.

Najimi: "…Eh…this…I…I really…" Najimi tried to speak but when she saw Komi-San she couldn't help but kneel in a seiza position and with her forehead against the ground as a sign of her repentance. 

Komi-San was crying because the coffee that she worked so hard to get with Tadano's help was gone just like that and the most frustrating thing of all is that she fell to the ground because of a stupid mistake.

Letting out a sigh I pulled out a package of paper towels and tossed Najimi to clean up the mess.

While in turn I took out a blackberry-flavored kitten-faced lollipop, and offered it to Komi-San.

Tadano: "Come on, don't be so sad, at least you managed to complete your goal, as a consolation prize you can enjoy this kitten popsicle while you drink your coffee with milk, what do you think?"

Komi looked at me and then at the palette. Then he took it and put it in her mouth while she sat next to her with Tadano.

Shortly after cleaning up the mess Najimi approached.

Najimi: "I'm really sorry Komi-San… I didn't think that would make you cry… I mean things would end like this."

Komi-San looked away from her still feeling somewhat annoyed and capricious.

I'll admit that I had to use all my willpower to keep from fainting because of how cute she looked acting like that. Still remaining determined, I spoke.

Tadano: "Come on Komi, don't be like that, here, drink your coffee before it gets cold, I'll also try this strange order that the manager made" I said, giving her her coffee while she pointed to the strange coffee that the manager made.

Komi nodded and took the coffee and she drank it sitting next to me, it seems that she likes to sit like this when she is in a bad mood. I'm not complaining, it's something nice to see.

Najimi: "Hey and me?" She exclaimed, offended at being left out.

Tadano: "Clumsy girls don't have coffees!" I said as she waved her hand at her.

Najimi: "Mooh ∼ they are bullying me" she complained.
